06-19-2009, 08:33 AM
My current one, honestly. And what's keeping me from doin' it is this addictive forum. Sheesh!
Do you keep a list of books that you've read?
No, I own many books that I have read, and would see no real purpose of keeping a list of books I have read, but perhaps lists of things I have learned from books . . . ? In that case, some of my books contain sheets of notebook paper or notecards with quotations or something of the book, but no other significant documentation.
Have you ever taken part in a marathon, and for what? Would you ever join a marathon, if you felt strongly enough for its cause?
Nikhar

Stargazer86
06-20-2009, 08:18 PM
indeed I have. I don't mind it much though. THe number one thing I hate about cleaning the house is winding up the vacuum cord. I don't know why I hate doing that so much. Vacuuming is no problem. It's kind of relaxing. But winding and unwinding the cord really sucks.

Yes!
Do you like sour foods?
TurquoiseSunset
06-22-2009, 01:15 PM
Pickles! Yeah! I can't eat sour sweets though :( they make my teeth super sensitive. Once, at school, I binged on sour sweets and could only eat slices of bread for two days. I say eat, but I mean suck on slices of bread, because I couldn't actually chew them...that's how sore my teeth were  And that's my disgusting life story :D
What would you choose: sour sweets, sweet sweets, or fiery sweets, if you still get those?
kingoflombards
06-22-2009, 04:21 PM
Sweet sweets. Laffy Taffy is the bomb!!!
What is the best music artist in your opinion?

PoeticPassions

Beautifull
06-24-2009, 09:53 PM

kingoflombards
06-25-2009, 12:15 AM
Multiple times. I like to eat rare meat. It tastes good, but isn't exactly the smartest thing to eat:D.
Same
Not that I can recall, fortunately, but it seems a little less common in we vegetarians. ;)
At amusement parks, do you tend to like the thrill rides, or the calmer ones? What is your favorite amusement park ride?
Nikhar
06-25-2009, 03:16 AM
Thrill is nice as long as the ride doesn't get me giddy....I don't like those rides that go round and round and make me feel that I could puke on anyone if I don't get out of it.
My favourite...can't say exactly...but giant wheel perhaps.
Are you a vegetarian? If no, would you consider of becoming one?
bouquin
06-25-2009, 06:30 AM
I'm not a vegetarian ... and I don't think I could ever become one ... love salmon - and foie gras! - too much!
PoeticPassions
06-25-2009, 10:12 AM

Have you ever farted at a totally inappropriate time/awkward moment? :D
kingoflombards
06-25-2009, 10:25 AM
Yup. In the middle of a wrestling match . The other guy's face was hilarious!
Same!?!???!
Who has not?
How many siblings do you have? Do you feel quite close to him/her/them?
*Classic*Charm*
06-25-2009, 01:26 PM
Three older brothers. I'm closest to the youngest of the three, but the older I get, I become closer to the elder two as well. I love my brothers :D
Same question!
I have two brothers, one older (29), one younger (22). We have definitely gotten more and more indepedent with the years, and I have always felt close with my older brother, though we have few similar interests - more of a mutual understanding of things. My younger brother and I get along quite well, and probably do not see each other as often as my older brother and I - I think him a fantastic person, and making very worthwhile goals in his life, but he lives a bit in his own world.
Do you feel closer to your mother or father, and why?
*Classic*Charm*
06-25-2009, 02:11 PM
I'm closer to my mother because we spend more time together and we have more in common in terms of interests. I think I'm more like my father in many ways, especially in stubbornness and opinionatedness so we clash a lot.
Are you more like your mother or father and in what ways?
grace86
06-25-2009, 02:45 PM
I am more like my mother in that I believe there is "magic" when you find the right person. I am also very independent like she used to be. We are not alike in that she ironically in other aspects is more of a realist than I am. I used to be very close and very like my dad in ideals and in pursuit of education, but since they moved away, I haven't been as close to him as I'd like.
Same question.
kiz_paws
06-25-2009, 05:52 PM
I am more like my father in that we both share the same zany sense of humour, as well as we can make caricatures (spell?) of people when we choose to. We are also die hard coffee drinkers...
Enough of me -- how about the next poster -- same question!
rtc143
06-25-2009, 05:54 PM
My father philosophical, musical, intelligent but i some times have no common sense hehe...(cough cough step mother cough)
Samesies??
I look very much like my father - same size, precise same structure, black hair, blue/gray eyes, strikingly handsome - and have almost no physical traits of my mother; my brothers, on the contrary, look very much like the maternal side of our family, so my two brothers and I hardly look related. In terms of personality, behavior, and mannerisms, I seem an equal balance of both of them - the calm, observing, sometimes-walked-on, soft-spoken manner of my father, yet also the opinionated, often outspoken, but caring and warm attitude of my mother.
What have you learned recently that you found interesting?
NikolaiI
06-26-2009, 01:29 AM

Which sect of mythology do you like the most (Greek, Roman, Norse, Egyptian, etc.), and why?
Stargazer86
06-27-2009, 01:51 AM
Greek. As it seems to be the most widely taught, it's the one with which I"m most familiar. I remember being a kid and constantly checking out Greek mythology books from the library. I found it absolutely fascinating.
Egyptian, Celtic, Norse etc also seems to be quite interesting, but by default of not being nearly as familiar with it, I have to go with Greek.
Who is your favorite mythological figure (from any sect of mythology)?
BienvenuJDC
06-27-2009, 01:54 AM
That is such a difficult question...
...rule Roman out...they just stole their stuff from the Greeks...
Greek....is second
......Norse...I don't know as much about, but I may like from what I do...
.............I think Egyptian, because of the artwork and architecture involved
EDIT: To answer SG query...Jason...and the Argonauts...:)
Same ??
(Mono...when you check back I want to hear your answer too)
Stargazer86
06-27-2009, 02:00 AM
Well from the Greeks, I think they're mostly rather dispicable. But I suppose I'll go with Artemis.
One of my favorite mythological stories (not Greek) is the Children of Lir. I've always loved that one.
With what mythological figure do you most closely identify?
BienvenuJDC
06-27-2009, 02:02 AM
Jason
Any guesses why?

BienvenuJDC
06-27-2009, 12:40 PM

There are several, really, from when I was 2 or so.. I remember my brother and I got some matches - my brother was 3 years older - from on top of an out of use refrigerator in the garage, and lit some things on the linoleum floor in the kitchen, and it made black spots. I blamed it all on my brother.

Nice!
As to me, I attend a lot of local concerts and shows here in Portland, but my last big concert that I attended took place in Copenhagen, Denmark at the Første Mai Festival ('First of May') - some very . . . insteresting acts there. I had a blast, but ended up getting some killer sunburns at the outdoor festival.

There haven't been that many of them. I would say it was one by a Irish Group, their name was something about potatos. I know the name sounds lame, but the lead musician was a composer and music professor, a friend of mine from Aikido, which my uncle taught.

Do u like moody people?
NikolaiI
07-03-2009, 08:13 PM
No.
Do you like grouchy or gloomy more?
No one, especially one's company, can feel happy all of the time. We partially own emotions out of a response to our surroundings, and if an individual, a friend or family member, felt grouchy or gloomy around me it would not really affect my quality of time with him/her, unless s/he let it affect our time spent to the point of ruining it. To answer the question, I feel relatively indifferent to both; I would rather someone wear an honest frown or grimace around me than a deceitful smile.
