No I do not. I don't like that condiment.
How would u define 'time'?
Shalot
05-06-2008, 08:43 PM
I would define time as that thing that changes pace depending on the events taking place. For example, when you're having fun, time flies. When you're bored, miserable or uncomfortable, time just stands still, like a snake, sunning itself on the road (stolen from JFK). that's my definition of time.

Turned 21 a month ago.
Are you happy with your life right now?
Shalot
05-09-2008, 08:02 PM
Neither. I used to have just a few friends. As an adult, I can't say that I have any friends. Just acquaintances. My husband is my friend, but I am thinking you meant "friends" in the traditional sense. I guess as an adult, I would consider good coworkers (who aren't out to stab me in the back, or who are helpful without being a-holes) the closest thing to a friend these days. Other than my LitNet friends that I don't really know but who are great online buddies, I have no friends that I go to movies with or chat with on the phone like when I was young.
What are you looking forward to these days?
papayahed
05-09-2008, 08:05 PM
My trip back to MI. It's just for the weekend but I'm going to a BBQ with some ex-coworkers, my Mom and I are going flower shopping and planting her garden.

what do you think about couples who date though they are seperate in age by a couple years?
sprinks
05-10-2008, 12:25 PM
I don't see any problem with it so long as it is a healthy relationship. In later years it is even less relevant. But like I'm friends with a 15 year old who's dating an 18 year old and they're doing okay...
What do you think about relationships where the female is older than the male? (for some reason this is "unacceptable" to some people)
Sir Bartholomew
05-10-2008, 09:26 PM
i pity them especially if these older men think they share this mutual love and understanding. but if they both know what they've got themselves into and know the consequences, well, happy for them.

bouquin
05-12-2008, 05:33 AM
pancake with syrup,
toast with jam,
cupcake,
slices of papaya and pineapple,
Earl Grey tea.
It was at a hotel in the Philippines.
Otherwise, my usual breakfast fare consists of a brioche au sucre and 3 cups of tea (no milk, no sugar).
Now for my question :
Who is your favorite relative/family member and why?
sayer
05-12-2008, 02:39 PM
i can't answer that, it's like asking me who my favorite family member is.

have you ever dreamed you died?
Janine
05-16-2008, 06:06 PM
Some dreams I recall vividly. If I don't think about them or tell someone on waking up I then tend to forget them. It is odd though, I will actually recall dreams I had when I was a young child. I can't get over that fact.
Do you dream in color?
Babyguile
05-16-2008, 06:13 PM
Probably, though it's not what I remember when I think back to them.

Is your husband a generous tipper? hahaha...curious minds want to know!
kevinthediltz
05-16-2008, 10:04 PM
well i dont have a husband, nor do i believe i ever will. However, if or when i get married, im sure she will be a very generous tipper
Heres a little deeper question than my last.
is your view of right and wrong driven by laws and rules or your own morals?
kevinthediltz
05-16-2008, 10:14 PM
i think health care is a great thing as long as it isnt taken advantage of. In the us? no. well at least not anytime soon. It would be great but our debt is already sky high, and in general, americans would take advantage of it and come up with more deseases that dont really exist.
Has a piece of literature or music or any art form honestly changed your life?
kevinthediltz
05-16-2008, 10:23 PM
Yes. 1984. It showed me where real value in life comes from: loyalty, love, and compassion. It caused me to show more human nature and to be aware of when someone is in need. And it made me appriciate the greatest things in life like the farmilliar touch of warm skin, a comforting embrase, or a completely helpless gesture. I noticed none of that before the book.
What is your view on religion?
kevinthediltz
05-16-2008, 10:31 PM
absolutely! I believe that if someone bases the worth of their day on whether of not they made it to the bathroom on time, they have the full right to end their life. I think that if someone has already done everything they want to do, it is quite righteous of them to end it. And i believe that natural selection and survival of the fittest is greatly limited by so called "advancements in technology."
Same question
Sarasvati21
05-16-2008, 11:40 PM
Well...no husband yet, but one of my close guy friends is a veerrry generous tipper. Kind of ridiculously so.
Do you think of annoying ways to give a waitress her tip if she did a shoddy job? (i.e, putting it in your full water glass, covering the glass with a napkin, and turning it upside down on the table)
kevinthediltz
05-16-2008, 11:46 PM
actually i do the "saw" thing: i kidnap her, drug her, and place a quarter behind her eye.
One thing i really DO do is leave creative tips to the waitresses i know, like stacking the money, or leaving an empty rifle shell to hold the cash down if its outside.

(i used to love it, untill i read the book.)

kevinthediltz
05-17-2008, 02:50 AM
All the time! You dont even want to get me started on that one. its a long story. (hell my best friend fits completely into the stereotype of a typical hick.)
same question.
sprinks
05-17-2008, 02:56 AM
To some extent, yes. But theres always one little aspect of their personality that breaks the stereotype.
Do you think its fair that people place others into stereotypes without getting to know them?
(No idea why stereotypes are on my mind right now. I'll try to think of more non-stereotype related questions!)
kevinthediltz
05-17-2008, 03:05 AM
No. I judge everyone i meet based on how they treat other people. People think im racist because lots of mexicans treat me like s**t. I hate lots of people, black, brown, orange, WHATEVER! But all based on how they treat others and how they conduct themselves.

But there is nonsense that comes unbidden to my cyberdoorstop, too -- and that makes me want to just not bother.
