Well, I knew about this site a couple of years ago, but I never got a chance to get started with it. So, I'd say I lasted about 700 days without it. :)
Now, though, I'd say 3 days. Depending on how busy I am.
I accidentally clicked on the link to create my blog. So, I guess I have one now. I am debating whether I will actually begin it.

why does breaking your heart so painful?
andave_ya
09-24-2007, 04:18 PM
Because...because...I don't know, ask someone who has had their heart broken. :D
What do you think of the Incredibles?
mosimo
09-24-2007, 04:22 PM
Actually it should not be because once your heart is broken it would be unable to move blood anymore the person would die instantly before they would be able to feel pain. Nevertheless figuratively speaking a broken heart hurts because one has become emotionally connected and that connection has been severed causing emotional pain.
What do you think of the Incredibles? Nothing much.

that's funny. I do that all the time at work. My coworker can totally hear me mumbling to myself over the cube divider and I am sure that on more than one occasion I have inadvertantly announced TMI (too much information) such as, "geez I have a wedge" and I am sure I have said worse. It just gets so quiet in there. If I remember to, I will bring a CD, but most of my good music is on ITUNES and I can't really install that on my work's computer. I suppose I could buy a docking station....
the radio is not an option. Not only do we have crap radio stations, we don't get good reception in the building anyway so it does no good to hear the radio.

a robber breaks into your house, you have both phone and gun by you, what would you do?
Oniw17
10-01-2007, 03:06 PM
I have 7 younger siblings, my mom, and my grandma living with me; so I'd probably call some of my friends who live nearby and take care of the situation myself(since police take forever to respond, if they even do).
There's another world war, you've been poor your whole life, you've known the feeling of hunger more times than you care to remember. You have the chance and the resources to seize control of your government durring this chaotic time, but in order to retain that control and protect you life after gaining it, you have to kill millions of innocents who you've fought to protect in the past. What do you do?

use the phone to shoot the robber, and call the cops with the gun! Oh wait, I don't have any bullets. I'll just shoot the robber then.

no. too many sales people. If the doorbell rings, I don't answer it. and my neighbors bring their dogs to my yard to poop. if I happen to come home and catch them while they're in the act, they will walk the dog over to their yard, but it has happened on more than one occasion. And we haven't done anything to them. they're just crappy.

why the world is full of sad people?
NikolaiI
10-06-2007, 10:28 AM
Because they are confused. Because some days they see only the good in people, but other days they see only the bad. It's never a mixture of both, it's always either/or, and so the world is full of sad people. Only it's not.
What is your stance on the new Intergalactic Treaty?
Pendragon
10-06-2007, 10:28 AM
People are not content with what they have and take from others to build their wealth or empire. Thus people end up with little or nothing, or working like slaves for people who make obscene amounts doing nothing. Help for the underprivilaged is often funneled into other areas by the very people whom the underprivilaged have to trust. People cannot trust each other, because for a better chance, a friend will sell you out. So everyone misstrusts the other, the rich grow richer at the poor's expense, and the level of depression and sadness grows. It can only be fixed by starting with one person at a time. Everyone seems to be waiting for the other to make a move first.
Same question: Why are there so many sad people in the world?
NikolaiI
10-06-2007, 10:46 AM
There's a flaw in your theory, Dale. Some people have nothing and are happy. So if the world is full of sad people (which it isn't, it's not "full" of anything, except forces) then it's because of two things: they have nothing, and the way they interact with their having nothing. Capiche? :D
Now my question: What do you think of those little fuzzy caterpillars that ball up when you have them in your hand?
Oniw17
10-06-2007, 05:38 PM
They're much better than human beings, but since I don't know what kind of caterpillar you're talking about, I hope it isn't poisonous to humans, or at least that I myself am immune to the poison if it is.

why are pineapples called pineapples? Are they related to pines? Pinecones?
papayahed
10-11-2007, 09:01 AM
Wiki says:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pineapple :
The name pineapple in English (or piña in Spanish) comes from the similarity of the fruit to a pine cone. The word "pineapple", first recorded in 1398, was originally used to describe the reproductive organs of conifer trees (now termed pine cones). When European explorers discovered this tropical fruit, they called them "pineapples" (term first recorded in that sense in 1664) because it resembled what we know as pine cones. The term "pine cone" was first recorded in 1695 to replace the original meaning of "pineapple".[1]
In the scientific binomial Ananas comosus, ananas, the original name of the fruit, comes from the Tupi (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) word for pineapple nanas, as recorded by André Thevenet in 1555 and comosus means "tufted" and refers to the stem of the fruit. Other members of the Ananas genus are often called pineapple as well by laymen.
A large, sweet pineapple grown especially in Brazil is called "abacaxi".
A well known popular term for a pineapple is the word 'Maltman'. This is just another term to phrase the way the pineapple is shaped, and was given due to the Maltman haircut which bears a striking resemblance to a pineapple.

I think my favorite website must be msn.com. it has serious news articles on current events and business, and celebrity gossip links. Plus it has this little "Undressed" feature and it shows pictures of celebritys wearing hideous clothes to major celebrity events. They have some reallly clever writers. For example, Lil Kim wore some crazy dress-bra thing that pushed-up and smashed her boobs and manage to expose half of them. It was horrendous, and the caption was, "It was the Breast of Times it was the worst of times." Oh it's funny.

yes. I want to go to (in no particular order) London, Canada, Japan, Ireland, The Netherlands, maybe somewhere in the Middle East but I am not sure where - I guess probably India or Saudia Arabai or both, the Bahamas, Mexico, Australia, Scotland, and that's all I can think of right now.
do you collect spoons? like if you traveled around the world you buy a souvenir spoon for every city or country you went to?

I have some foreign money left over from my trip to Europe from a while ago.
I don't really collect anything right now because I don't have time, but collections are cool.
What is your goal for the next 12 months? Is there anything in particular you hope to have acheived by then?
