I have had some dreams that I thought I had dreamed before, but I usually lose all details about my dreams within 5-10 minutes after waking up...unless I can explain them to someone else -- thus burning them into my head.
Have you ever woke up from an embarrassing dream? If you don't mind, what was it about?

Coffee and a brownie/ice cream dessert
Would you bring anything (even though you were told that it wasn't necessary)?
Stargazer86
05-09-2009, 03:51 PM
Of course. It's always polite to bring something like a bottle of wine, or perhaps a cheese, cracker, and salame set, or a little something for desert. But you seem to have dessert covered so I'll bring the wine and Hors d'oeuvres (is that the correct spelling??)
What qualities do you most value in a house/dinner guest?
papayahed
05-09-2009, 03:53 PM
Normally I'd bring wine but I don't think you drink so i would bring either flowers or a dessert.

I'm a black pen klepto. And I always snatch a bunch of ointment from medical supply whenever I get a new tattoo. Actually, the nurses give it to me. And I've had to get bandages before. And medical masks when we thought a couple of our patients and staff had swine flu. But I only take that stuff after asking the nurses first.

To me, Heaven's only a state of mind.
If you could pick one person to speak his or her thoughts aloud for a whole day, who would it be?

Out of habit and/or convenience, Windows.

Oh certainly. Waitressing, that happens a lot. Sometimes, however, appreciation comes in ... different ways then we expect! One lady I had been serving didn't leave me a tip, but she left the sweetest note - and that was enough. It made my night.

When's the last time you skipped out on work or school and why?
The Comedian
05-12-2009, 10:22 AM
Hey, that's two questions! ;)
The last time that I called in "sick" under false pretenses was to go on a 30 mile bike ride with a buddy of mine. And, I did it because it was a beautiful summer day, warm and inviting; it was a day that said, "Comedian, it would be downright unfair of work to pull you in a lovely day such as this. I command you to spread righteous virtue upon that bike path with your friend!"
What else could I do? When the forces of nature herself call, you listen.

I can't think of any for me...but I heard one in preaching school...
A very serious minded Bible professor was teaching about Abraham and Lot (Abraham's nephew). Lot and Abraham were parting ways due to an overcrowding issue, so Lot decided to move his flocks toward the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah (the cities that were known for being destroyed for their profound homosexuality...this fact is important for the story...bear with me). The Scripture says that Lot "pitched his tent toward Sodom", however when this professor quoted the passage, he actually said, Lot "pinched his teat toward Sodom". yeah...the class lost it...

 That's pretty good! I was thinking randomly of when I took psychology in college and the mouthy pseudo intellectual in the class kept saying "symbology" when he actually meant "symbolism"...I was amused on one hand and highly irritated on the other hand. And another time for Interpersonal Communications when I had a teacher who was mentioning something about linguistics but actually said "linguism". At least she caught the mistake though...
