Summary Chapter 7

Tom awakes the next day and is dressed in a different outfit. He is prevented from helping himself to food by all the servants: the food taster, the cup bearer, the diaperer, etc. The servants have been told that the prince is ill and not to be surprised by his strange behavior. No one laughs at his questions or odd behavior. They are all sorry for him.

Afterwards, he is taken to his cabinet. He finds a book on English court etiquette and begins to read it.
