Doesn't that depend on the judges you are performing for, and how well they will be able to evaluate your work?

Isn't Madhuri the judge? Isn't she perfectly able to evaluate any work fairly?

Madhuri must remember the old saying "Sooner or later the student becomes the master.", don't you think? Perhaps Aimus has nothing to prove, but is himself a master?

Would I be the person to ask, as I am merely an observer here? Seach your feelings. What do they tell you? Are you worthy of the title of "Master Cook" in the Order of Turnips, or do you remain a humble student, with much more to learn before that honor may be bestowed upon you? Clouded your future is, that even the wise may find it hard to see the outcome, is this not so?

Can I be R2D2? :p

Kathy, did you like the turnip I gave you?
Oh, yes, do you know it now has it's own turnipy shrine? Aren't you kind to sacrifice one of your own beloved turnips?

Didn't one that size give you indigestion? Did you like my black roses, my dear dead undying one? ;)

Did you know I think those are very lovely roses, dear Pen?

AimusSage

If Aimus is Darth Vader and has gone this long without his breathing apparatus, he has either Force-healed himself, or is dead, is it not so, Obi-wan? However, I am feeling generous today, Aimus, so I brought you your beloved mask, yet do not think I will always be there to get you out of trouble, understood? I have little patience with those who allow themselves to be seduced by the Darkside, and I warned you once before; if you recognized who I really am you would know that, would he not, Obi-Wan? http://www.clicksmilies.com/s0105/starwars/star-wars-smiley-013.gif

Does Encyclopedia Brittanica not say this about ghouls?

"Anglicized as “ghoul,” the word entered English tradition and was further identified as a grave-robbing creature that feeds on dead bodies and on children. In the West ghouls have no specific image and have been described (by Edgar Allan Poe) as “neither man nor woman . . . neither brute nor human.” They are thought to assume disguises, to ride on dogs and hares, and to set fires at night to lure travelers away from the main roads."

Don't you know how much I agree with that?

Who's calling who a dummy and why is who agreeing with who?

Ummm, do you want a side of turnips with your turnip casserole?

Weren't you the one that sent the memo?

Don't you know how much I need the memo??

Do I seem frazzled? ;)

RobinHood3000
08-18-2006, 06:39 PM
Well, are you?

kathycf

Who am I again? :p

My dinner date, I hope?

kathycf
08-19-2006, 12:03 AM
That's right, and aren't we dining at the Golden Turnip?

Pendragon
08-19-2006, 10:44 AM

AimusSage
08-19-2006, 04:06 PM
Was there even ever a memo sent?

ShoutGrace
08-19-2006, 04:07 PM

RobinHood3000
08-19-2006, 04:33 PM
"We"?

AimusSage
08-19-2006, 04:41 PM
There are undead waiters at the Golden Turnip? Wasn't that what the memo was about?

RobinHood3000
08-19-2006, 07:44 PM
Undead? Why??

kathycf
08-20-2006, 01:11 AM
Don't undead waiters expect a 10% gratuity as opposed to the living who expect 20-25& ? Wait, are we on a budget?

RobinHood3000
08-20-2006, 09:30 AM
Why should we be? Aren't we looting them, anyway?

Pendragon
08-20-2006, 09:50 AM
Zombie waiters at The Golden Tyrnip, eh? Then they won't be so shocked when the lovely dead undying one, a Martian Turnip Lord, a supposed long dead Archer, and a living Dragon and company show up for dinner, will they? http://www.industreal.spb.ru/smiles/scull.gif Or maybe I should show up as Auld Arrow, the ghost pirate, what say?

Hacking into the Transatlantic Cable, perhaps?

AimusSage

Could he be online somewhere, pretenting to be a fellow forumer, preying on unsuspecting victims?

RobinHood3000

What I'm wondering is what does the COOK look like and WHAT does he/she or it put into the food they are planning on serving us? Maybe they'll serve the drinks first, you think? After a couple of Zombies down the old hatch would any of us be sober enough to care what we're eating?

Holy Hannah, isn't that Zombie stiffer than the plank? :)

RobinHood3000
08-21-2006, 11:15 PM
Blast -- would you believe that in the new forum format, I keep looking to the wrong place for the thread name?

Do you know what kind of Zombie we're talking about?

Pendragon
08-22-2006, 11:40 AM
Everybody does know that there are two kinds: the shuffling undead and a potent alcoholic drink, a tall mixed drink made of various rums, liqueur, and fruit juice, right? http://www.industreal.spb.ru/smiles/mummy.gif

RobinHood3000
08-22-2006, 12:50 PM
What else is there? Rob Zombie?

Wouldn't you agree that "tall" is an understatement?

thevintagepiper
08-22-2006, 01:44 PM
Don't you think that "short" and "tall" are often merely relative? Did you know that so called "short" people often prefer to be called "fun sized?"

Would you like to have an insulted zombie on your hands?

AimusSage
08-22-2006, 01:49 PM
Is it possible to insult zombies?
Below what size does someone become fun-sized? How do middle sized people prefer to be called? And what about the tall people, don't you think they might object to being called tall?

RobinHood3000
08-22-2006, 01:57 PM
Why would a beverage object to being called tall?

AimusSage
08-22-2006, 02:02 PM
What if it is a really short beverage because it's served in a low but wide glass?

Madhuri
08-22-2006, 03:01 PM
Perhaps, we should ask the beverage, what it prefers being called 'short,' 'fun sized,' 'middle sized,' 'tall' or 'shapless'. What do you say????

RobinHood3000
08-22-2006, 03:44 PM
Isn't that getting a little extreme?

AimusSage
08-22-2006, 04:47 PM
Are extremes really extremes in this place? Aren't they just another aspect of the crazy world that is Lit-Net?

kathycf
08-22-2006, 11:43 PM
I am confused... as I am funsized, should I be served in a low but wide glass too?

thevintagepiper
08-23-2006, 03:40 AM

RobinHood3000
08-23-2006, 07:20 AM
Wouldn't that invade her privacy?

Pendragon
08-23-2006, 09:04 AM
What is this "privacy" I keep hearing people talk about? Do Zombies of any type have any? With a drink limit of two Zombies, (that was at a local bar I’m told, I don't drink myself, in fact, my medication makes it impossible!), the "tall" description would definitely seem an understatement, Robin, would you agree?

kathycf
08-23-2006, 12:22 PM
How many substances can a person be made out of? ;)

Pen, do you mean that the people at the bar are short because after 2 "zombies" they are laying on the floor?

thevintagepiper
08-24-2006, 01:30 PM
Couldn't you be made of more substances than are imaginable?

kathycf
08-24-2006, 03:33 PM
Do you mean substances in addition to sugar and spice and everything nice? ;)

What Are Little

What are little girls made of?
Sugar and spice,
And everything nice,
That's what little girls are made of.
What are little boys made of?
Snips and snails,
And puppy dog tails,
That's what little boys are made of. :)

Pendragon
08-25-2006, 10:02 AM
Wouldn't EVERYONE be short to a Dragon? After two alcoholic Zombies, you might be lying on the floor or you might feel kind of bullet-proof, all I know is what people tell me about them, I've not experienced myself, so, what, call it "hearsay"?

kathycf
08-25-2006, 02:53 PM
Did you know on December 31, 1987 I ordered a Mai Tai?
I heard those are kind of like zombies, ya know?
Do you have any idea (use your imagination if you need to) how foul that concotion tasted?

RJbibliophil
08-25-2006, 03:19 PM
Do they make turnip flavored zombies?

Pendragon
08-26-2006, 10:26 AM
A long, long time ago, when I did used to drink, I recall that a lot of things were supposed to have "nuances of this and that" and you were supposed to be able to "distinguish the flavor of such and such", but do you know I mostly just tasted the familiar burn of alcohol? http://www.invision.smileyville.net/smilies/fnd (22).gif

kathycf
08-26-2006, 03:58 PM
Would the flavor of turnip impart more of punch to a drink and smooth out that burn of alcohol?
Maybe a whole line of turnip drinks would be good...who wants a turnip margarita?

(virgin ones without alcohol are also available!!)

ShoutGrace
08-26-2006, 04:03 PM
(virgin ones without alcohol are also available!!)

Wouldn't a virgin turnip margarita be made without turnips, a much more potent element than alcohol?

kathycf
08-27-2006, 02:25 AM
Whatever do you mean? :p :p

Are turnips to blame for me being so silly then?

thevintagepiper
08-27-2006, 03:01 AM
Wouldn't we all say so?

Madhuri
08-27-2006, 03:17 AM
Dont you think turnips cause a lot of trouble?

AimusSage
08-27-2006, 04:53 AM
Are you saying turnips are trouble makers? What of the people that like turnips, are they considered to be trouble makers too?

Pendragon
08-27-2006, 10:51 AM
Do you know the old saying, Aimus, dear fellow: "If the shoe fits, put it on."?
(If we can keep you out of the kitchen long enough!) http://www.cosgan.de/images/midi/haushalt/h010.gif

kathycf
08-27-2006, 10:40 PM
Turnips and the people who love them are trouble makers?
What sort of a cruel world do we live in if that is so? :p

AimusSage
08-28-2006, 06:05 AM
Don't you think it will be a world filled with trouble makers?

thevintagepiper
08-28-2006, 06:08 AM
Don't you think they're really only misjudged?

AimusSage
08-28-2006, 06:15 AM
Are you saying I'm not a trouble maker?

thevintagepiper
08-28-2006, 06:20 AM
How could I say that?

AimusSage
08-28-2006, 06:26 AM
So You think I'm a trouble maker?

thevintagepiper
08-28-2006, 06:31 AM
Well, didn't you imply that you'd like to be thought of as one?

AimusSage
08-28-2006, 06:33 AM
But what if I'm not really a trouble maker and only like to be thought of as one? Would you still think of me as a trouble maker?

Pendragon
08-28-2006, 09:00 AM
Is this a multiple choice or essay question, Aimus? In other words, do you want a simple "yes" or "no", or would you prefer details?

AimusSage
08-28-2006, 09:18 AM
Can you provide detail please? :D

Pendragon
08-28-2006, 09:24 AM
Why would we consider you a troublemaker, when it’s so obvious you’re simply a pest, menace, scalawag, agitator, firebrand, and rabble-rouser? :p

AimusSage
08-28-2006, 11:22 AM
You really think I am all those things? Did you know that makes me feel all proud of myself? :D

Nightshade
08-28-2006, 11:39 AM

AimusSage
08-28-2006, 11:54 AM
How could you not?

Nightshade
08-28-2006, 11:59 AM
Why should I?

AimusSage

AimusSage
08-28-2006, 01:43 PM

Nightshade
08-28-2006, 01:46 PM
Is eating the only type of nutrition?

AimusSage
08-28-2006, 01:48 PM
So how do you feed yourself?

thevintagepiper
08-28-2006, 02:39 PM
What kind of question is that?

AimusSage
08-28-2006, 03:12 PM
Isn't it just another normal question? I mean, if she says she doesn't eat, how does she sustain herself?

RobinHood3000
08-29-2006, 06:42 AM
...photosynthesis?

AimusSage
08-29-2006, 07:20 AM
Are you saying she is some kind of plant or bacteria?

kathycf
08-29-2006, 07:21 AM
Perhaps she sustains herself on nutritious liquids like soup and protein drinks?

Or is she a vampire?

:brow: ;)

AimusSage
08-29-2006, 07:28 AM
But doesn't a vampire still feed on the blood of the living?

Madhuri
08-29-2006, 07:31 AM
Do you think she might jus' be inhaling some nutritious air, and not technically feeding on something???

AimusSage
08-29-2006, 07:33 AM
Is nutritious air enough to sustain a human being?

Madhuri
08-29-2006, 07:40 AM
If it can be an alternative to feeding, then why not?? This way a human being can sustain without feeding.

AimusSage
08-29-2006, 07:43 AM
What exactly is nutritious air? Can you believe I never heard of it before?

Madhuri
08-29-2006, 07:51 AM
Oh, its jus' air with nutrients :D, and is not available everywhere. Would you want to try this alternative???

kathycf
08-29-2006, 07:53 AM
But isn't drinking different from feeding?
Isn't breathing oxygen vital in and of itself without adding "nutrients" to the air?
Why am I so confused? ;)

AimusSage
08-29-2006, 07:55 AM
Don't people feed themselves with nutrients regardless of how they take them?

kathycf
08-29-2006, 07:57 AM
Shouldn't everyone make life simple and sustain themselves on turnips?

AimusSage
08-29-2006, 08:00 AM
But do Turnips provide all the necessary vitamins each human being needs?

kathycf
08-29-2006, 08:06 AM
HOW shocked am I that the founding father of the turniper club would ask such a question??!!

On second thought, maybe all the turnips need is a little additional protein?

AimusSage
08-29-2006, 08:09 AM
Are you suggesting we should alter the DNA of Turnips?

Madhuri
08-29-2006, 08:21 AM
Does DNA mean: Distorted Nutrient Aggregation????

AimusSage
08-29-2006, 08:39 AM
Would you like it to mean just that?

Madhuri
08-29-2006, 08:40 AM
What are my options?????

thevintagepiper
08-29-2006, 08:56 AM
How should we know that? Has anyone done such a thing before?

Pendragon
08-29-2006, 09:22 AM
You really think I am all those things? Did you know that makes me feel all proud of myself? :DDid you realize I just ran my thesaurus in Microsoft Word and took all the words it gave as synonyms for "troublemaker"? And did you know, Aimus, that I actually consider you as "none of the above" but a friend? ;) Now, what the heck was the current topic anyway? EDIT: Oh, altering DNA of turnips. Heavens, people, do we want to wind up with a crop of malformed rutabagas?

Madhuri
08-30-2006, 06:11 AM
The question was: What is the best form of nutrition??? Not turnips, thats for sure.

AimusSage
08-30-2006, 06:18 AM
What could possibly be better than turnips?

Madhuri
08-30-2006, 06:45 AM
Oh, Well, didnt you know that their DNA has undergone a change and they have turned into malformed rutabagas?? How could that kind be possibly fit for intake?

AimusSage
08-30-2006, 06:47 AM
NOOOOOOO! Have not only a few turnips suffered that terrible fate?

Madhuri
08-30-2006, 07:09 AM
Dont you think we human beings have been saved from turnip terror???

AimusSage
08-30-2006, 07:14 AM
How can you say that? Don't you know the yellow turnip is far more dangerous? Didn't you realize it is a swede?

Madhuri
08-30-2006, 07:40 AM
How dangerous can they be?? I have never seen a yellow swede turnip, BTW.

AimusSage
08-30-2006, 07:52 AM
Wouldn't you say you are fortunate never to have seen one? Don't you know that only a few of those that saw one lived to tell the tale?

jitendra
08-30-2006, 08:25 AM
Who is AimusSage ?

Madhuri
08-30-2006, 08:36 AM
How could you not know that he is the Founding Father of the Lit Net Turnip Association and is also a social worker, who has saved so many guinea pigs?

AimusSage

A social worker?

Pendragon
08-30-2006, 11:42 AM
Does a retorical question still count as a question?

kathycf
08-30-2006, 11:46 AM
Don't you think in this thread you could tack a question mark at the end of just about any sentence and have it work? :p

Here, see?

On Saturday I went to the movies.....?

Ok, so maybe that doesn't work quite as well as I thought, huh? ;)

AimusSage
08-30-2006, 04:56 PM
It doesn't work? I could have sworn that any question was a question, no matter what was asked, I'm isn't it true that even answers can be questions?
