Isn't it too late to ask that question?

kathycf
06-07-2006, 01:55 AM
Or is it too early?

ShoutGrace
06-07-2006, 01:56 AM
Hmmm you live back East right?

Is it being too early really a bad thing?

kathycf
06-07-2006, 02:03 AM
Perhaps not a bad thing unless one has insomnia? Do you think I should say goodnight now?
(goodnight...:) ) oops, was I supposed to make that a question as well? ;)

RJbibliophil
06-07-2006, 10:22 AM
Why should you not make it a question?

ShoutGrace
06-07-2006, 04:53 PM
Isn't this the question thread? Aren't questions the necessary mode of communication here?

AimusSage
06-07-2006, 04:57 PM
What if the question answers itself?

ShoutGrace
06-07-2006, 04:59 PM
Wouldn't that inherently defeat the purpose of the question?

AimusSage
06-07-2006, 05:01 PM
Isn't a riddle a form of such a question? Is not the answer to a riddle contained within?

ShoutGrace
06-07-2006, 05:05 PM
Doesn't that depend on your perspective?

If I am retarded (which I honestly cannot deny) is not the riddle answer forever hidden from me?

AimusSage
06-07-2006, 05:10 PM
How is not being able to see the answer the same as the answer not being there?
How can you not deny being retarded when the truth points otherwise?

ShoutGrace
06-07-2006, 05:23 PM
If the answer cannot be seen, is not the answer, for all practical purposes anyway, worthless?

The answer may be there, but if it cannot be discerned, does it even matter?

:D :D

AimusSage
06-07-2006, 05:28 PM
Isn't the challenge of a riddle to find an answer where one is not seemingly apparant?

ShoutGrace
06-07-2006, 05:29 PM
Doesn't that result in brain blisters for the poor victim that the riddle is thrown upon?

AimusSage
06-07-2006, 05:36 PM
Doesn't that only happen when you use your brain incorrectly? Does the correct usage of the brain not stimulate it's functioning, eventually resulting in a growth in mental capacity?

ShoutGrace
06-07-2006, 05:37 PM
Whatever gave you that idea? Aren't there a finite number of synapse firings that a brain is capable of?

AimusSage
06-07-2006, 05:54 PM
Am I not referring to effective use of the brain? does that not include the firing of the proper synapses making the correct connections in a brain?

ShoutGrace
06-07-2006, 05:56 PM
Are you here trying to postulate the notion that the brain can be used either effectively or wastefully?

AimusSage
06-07-2006, 06:09 PM
Do you think there is only one way to use the brain?

ShoutGrace
06-07-2006, 06:25 PM
Does the brain have no rights of it's own? Is it okay to just 'use' it, without asking?

AimusSage
06-07-2006, 06:31 PM
are you implying that the brain is a seperate entity?

ShoutGrace
06-07-2006, 08:24 PM
Can I not merely put forth the idea that the brain has rights and should be respected?

kathycf
06-07-2006, 08:45 PM
Doesn't the pancreas deserve any respect as well? Why does the brain get all the props? For that matter, what of the gallbladder?

ShoutGrace
06-07-2006, 08:53 PM
Don't you give more respect to your pancreas than to your brain? Would you believe me if I told you that I don't drink soda anymore but that I think nothing of going without sleep for 3 days?

Mililalil XXIV
06-07-2006, 09:33 PM
Who cares [about the soda]? That sounded nice, didn't it? Three days?

kathycf
06-07-2006, 09:39 PM
Yes, yes, but what of the gallbladder????!!

Mililalil XXIV
06-07-2006, 09:42 PM
The one...gall bladder?

kathycf
06-07-2006, 09:46 PM
The one...? Is that like the one ring? Does said gallbladder convey the same sort of evil dread as the one ring?

Mililalil XXIV
06-07-2006, 09:47 PM
Haven't you spoken with the golem bladder?

rabid reader
06-08-2006, 01:57 AM
Why would you bring up the Golem Bladder? Don't you know what kind of memories that brings back?

kathycf
06-08-2006, 01:58 AM
Dear me, do you have a golem bladder related trauma? What the heck IS a golem bladder anyway?

rabid reader
06-08-2006, 01:59 AM
Is that any of your business?

kathycf
06-08-2006, 02:01 AM
Um, if you didn't want anyone to ask a question, why did you put this in the Questions only game thread?

rabid reader
06-08-2006, 02:05 AM
Ooooh, did someone eat the crabby pill?

kathycf
06-08-2006, 02:09 AM
Is that any of your business?

Hmm, did this someone perhaps? :p

 equals angry, :p equals joking....

rabid reader
06-08-2006, 03:04 AM
(thanks... I figured it was the other way my bad lol)
Are you telling me what I can and can't eat?

Mililalil XXIV
06-08-2006, 05:10 AM
What does your golem bladder demandses?

RJbibliophil
06-08-2006, 10:19 AM
are bladders more interesting than turnips?

kathycf
06-08-2006, 03:44 PM
What do you think Aimus, aka turnip king would answer to that question?

AimusSage
06-08-2006, 03:47 PM
Don't you agree a full bladder needs to be emptied first before answering any questions relating to turnips?

kathycf
06-08-2006, 03:49 PM
Isn't that a good practice before answering any type of question?

AimusSage
06-08-2006, 03:51 PM
What if the question is 'Do you have to peepee little johnny?' Don't you think Johhny should answer the question before emptying his bladder?

kathycf
06-08-2006, 03:56 PM
Do you think that I would ask little Johnny such a personal question?
Would the question perhaps be more appropriate if Johnny was in the vicinity of a restroom and fidgeting like mad?

RJbibliophil
06-08-2006, 03:56 PM
Why in the world can you not eat castles?

AimusSage
06-08-2006, 03:57 PM
Who said you can't?

What if Johnny was in class, and his teacher asked him this question?

kathycf
06-08-2006, 03:57 PM
For castles are made of bricks and stone, and would cause indigestion? How on earth did you find a way to dodge the little johnny question?

*edit* How do you people post so darn quick??????

AimusSage
06-08-2006, 04:02 PM
Can it be little Johnny lived in the castle she tried to eat?

kathycf
06-08-2006, 04:05 PM
Do they have restrooms in this castle for little Johnny's restroomy type needs?

AimusSage
06-08-2006, 04:06 PM
What if they don't?

RJbibliophil
06-08-2006, 04:07 PM
Do you think the turret stones or staircase slabs would be more tasty to gnaw on?

AimusSage
06-08-2006, 04:10 PM
We are not talking about an aircastle?

RJbibliophil
06-08-2006, 04:14 PM
Oh, but aren't they air stones? How should one go about cleaning castle crock pots?

AimusSage
06-08-2006, 04:17 PM
Don't they get cleaned everytime little Johnny has to go peepee?

RJbibliophil
06-08-2006, 04:21 PM
Were there flags atop all the turrets?

AimusSage
06-08-2006, 04:22 PM
Don't they only let the flags out when little Johnny goes peepee?

RJbibliophil
06-08-2006, 04:23 PM
But are not the red dragon banners always flying?

AimusSage
06-08-2006, 04:27 PM
Are you saying that little Johnny always does peepee?

Pendragon
06-08-2006, 04:35 PM
What, oh wise sage, does a red flag have to do with a loo? :D

http://www.smiliegenerator.de/s30/smilies-11932.png

RJbibliophil
06-08-2006, 04:37 PM
But is it not the green banners they raise at that time?

AimusSage
06-08-2006, 04:40 PM
Are the red banners reserved for bigger deliveries from little Johnny?

RJbibliophil
06-08-2006, 05:09 PM
Don't the red ones fly all the time? Wait, aren't the yellow ones for small packages and green ones for bigger ones?

kathycf
06-08-2006, 05:28 PM
Then what do the purple flags mean? Dare I ask?
Will it have something to do with that little peeing machine, Johnny?

AimusSage
06-08-2006, 05:35 PM
Don't you think Johnny needs to grow up first before they can use the purple flag? :)

kathycf
06-08-2006, 11:47 PM
Will his nick name then be grown up Johnny, waver of flags?

ShoutGrace
06-09-2006, 01:38 AM
Why would it be anything else?

Pendragon
06-09-2006, 11:55 AM
Maybe, Johnny Flagg, Hero of the Castle Loo?

RJbibliophil
06-09-2006, 05:29 PM
Aren't the black banners for treachery and piracy, the white for surrenders, the orange for joyous events, the yellow and green for johnny's refuse, the red because it is his castle, and the purple for when he rules? Won't they fly gray flags when johnny is ill, and when his castle folk are dangerously, contagiously ill?

kathycf
06-09-2006, 11:29 PM
Can I kick Johnny in the shins? Please?

blondeatheart
06-10-2006, 12:09 AM
why would you want to do that?

ShoutGrace
06-10-2006, 04:19 AM
Can we not assume that she has good reasons?

kathycf
06-10-2006, 09:31 PM
Would you be shocked if I said I did?

Virgil
06-10-2006, 09:34 PM
Can I kick him too? Who's this Johnny, btw, that we want to kick?

kathycf
06-10-2006, 09:37 PM
Perhaps he is some annoying critter who always has to go to the restroom? Do you have steel toe boots appropriate for Johhny kicking? What time would you like to get started?

Virgil
06-10-2006, 09:39 PM
What if my steel tips shoes needed soles?

kathycf
06-10-2006, 09:44 PM
Would you like me to make an appointment at the cobbler's for you?

Virgil
06-10-2006, 09:47 PM
Would you mind lending me our shoes to kick Johnny after you have given him a few swift kicks?

kathycf
06-10-2006, 09:57 PM
I will, but do you think they will fit you? Do you have small feet?

Virgil
06-10-2006, 10:01 PM
Can't I fold the back support down and wear them as slippers?

kathycf
06-10-2006, 10:06 PM
Do you think that is the best course of action? Maybe the boots might break on Johnny's shins?

Virgil
06-10-2006, 10:12 PM
What do I care if your boots break on Johnny's shins? :D

AimusSage
06-11-2006, 06:20 PM
Don't you think it's cruel to kick little Johnny on the shins? What assurance do you have kicking him will not make him go peepee all over your feet?

RJbibliophil
06-11-2006, 07:08 PM
Why are you conspiring to kick little Johnny? Wouldn't that be considered child abuse?

RobinHood3000
06-11-2006, 07:12 PM
What did little Johnny do? Ask seemingly innocent questions of his parents again?

AimusSage
06-11-2006, 07:32 PM
Is Kathy little Johnny's mother? If so, who'se the father?

RJbibliophil
06-11-2006, 07:58 PM
Isn't that you? I'm no more than the castle house-keeper, right?

AimusSage
06-11-2006, 08:03 PM
How dare you say I am the father? How is that even possible? :eek2:

It is possible for me to deny everything right?

Mililalil XXIV
06-12-2006, 03:44 AM
Same old questions, eh Aimus? Eh?

AimusSage
06-12-2006, 04:57 AM
Which questions would that be? Was I the one who implied I was little Johnny's father?

Pendragon
06-12-2006, 01:19 PM
Man, you go on holiday two days... We're still on PeePot Johnny? Hasn't anyone let the l'il tyke into the loo yet? http://www.clicksmilies.com/s0105/spezial/Fool/wcj.gif

WHat's up people! ??????

RJbibliophil
06-12-2006, 07:41 PM
Was not the topic of conversation Johnny and his air castle that he lives in?

kilted exile
06-12-2006, 07:54 PM
Was not the original subject about whether the glass was half empty? and did we ever finish that discussion?

AimusSage
06-13-2006, 08:24 AM
Did little johnny finaly relieved himself? Did he fill half a glass with it?

ShoutGrace
06-13-2006, 08:51 AM
What good will it do to delve into such speculative areas?

Does it matter if he only filled 1/3 of a glass?

AimusSage
06-13-2006, 08:57 AM
Don't you think he would be able to fill more than one glass if he really had to go?

ShoutGrace
06-13-2006, 09:08 AM
I don't know . . . Would you believe me if I told you that I'm not very experienced in judging urine transfer rate/volume?

AimusSage
06-13-2006, 09:23 AM
What is the size of the glass we are speaking of?

ShoutGrace
06-13-2006, 09:25 AM
Who would know? Has anybody seen it?

AimusSage
06-13-2006, 09:28 AM
Could it be a glass the size of a small skyscraper?

ShoutGrace
06-13-2006, 09:36 AM
Wouldn't that be exciting?

Do you think the camels can see it from their skyscraper?

AimusSage
06-13-2006, 09:37 AM
What if a camel accidentily falls into the glass? What would little Johnny's urine do to it?

ShoutGrace
06-13-2006, 09:39 AM
Cover it's awful stench?

AimusSage
06-13-2006, 09:42 AM
What if little Johnny's urine is some form of acidic liquid?

ShoutGrace
06-13-2006, 09:43 AM
Wasn't Johnny a mere human being?

AimusSage
06-13-2006, 09:44 AM
Can we be sure of this?

ShoutGrace
06-13-2006, 09:45 AM
Perhaps we should do some research?

Who knows Johnny best?

AimusSage
06-13-2006, 09:53 AM
Isn't Kathy his mother?

ShoutGrace
06-13-2006, 09:58 AM
And where is she?

AimusSage
06-13-2006, 09:59 AM
Could she be hiding from little Johnny?

ShoutGrace
06-13-2006, 10:01 AM
Would any mother do that?

AimusSage
06-13-2006, 10:03 AM
I am not a mother am I? How would I know?

ShoutGrace
06-13-2006, 10:04 AM
Haven't you observed any maternal behaviour in your lifetime?

AimusSage
06-13-2006, 10:12 AM
Why would you think I didn't? Do I not have a mother?

ShoutGrace
06-13-2006, 10:18 AM
Weren't you spontaneously spawned out of molten lava?

Pendragon
06-13-2006, 10:23 AM
The question is not whether the glass is half-full or half-empty, but do you know the difference? On the other hand, we are not medical students, so why would we be handed one filled to ANY level with urine? Since Johnny is in a sky-castle, can't we create him any number of loo's to use? http://www.cosgan.de/images/midi/ekelig/c005.gif

AimusSage
06-13-2006, 10:29 AM
Are you saying molton lava cannot have motherly feelings?

But doesn't it rain everytime little Johnny uses the loo?

Pendragon
06-13-2006, 10:38 AM
You have heard of "acid rain" haven't you? :D

AimusSage
06-13-2006, 10:46 AM
Is that what they mean with that term? But aren't people trying to stop acid rain? Does that mean they want to kill little Johnny?

ShoutGrace
06-13-2006, 11:19 AM
Don't you think that if people knew Johnny any better, he would already be dead?

AimusSage
06-13-2006, 11:22 AM
Why would you say something like that? Isn't little Johnny an innocent little child?

ShoutGrace
06-13-2006, 11:24 AM
Can you be innocent and also pee into a cup as big as a skyscraper?

AimusSage
06-13-2006, 11:31 AM
Why wouldn't that be possible? Does ones level of innocence depend on the amount of urine one produces?

ShoutGrace
06-13-2006, 11:33 AM
Isn't there a correlation between innocence and peeing location?

AimusSage
06-13-2006, 11:37 AM
But what made you think the peeing location of little Johnny was in any way anti-inncocent?

ShoutGrace
06-13-2006, 11:38 AM
Perhaps it was the invocation of the skyscraper?

AimusSage
06-13-2006, 11:41 AM
But where can you hide a glass the size of a skyscraper without people seeing it?

ShoutGrace
06-13-2006, 12:00 PM
Why shouldn't it be available for public scrutiny?

kathycf
06-13-2006, 11:24 PM
I'm back, who missed me? ;)

Isn't Kathy his mother?

Is Kathy little Johnny's mother? If so, who'se the father?

How dare you say I am the father? How is that even possible? :eek2:

It is possible for me to deny everything right?

Oh my goodness, is this a soap opera?????? Shall we tune in tomorrow to find out the real truth of little Johnny's parentage, where he pees and will he ever stop going pee?

ShoutGrace
06-14-2006, 02:37 AM
If it's a soap opera, where is the tension? Not the mention the implied raw sex?

Mililalil XXIV
06-14-2006, 02:41 AM
The raw implications of the mere word "soap", you mean?

ShoutGrace
06-14-2006, 02:43 AM
Doesn't soap have only good implications?

(it's only raw when you scrub too much :D )

Mililalil XXIV
06-14-2006, 02:44 AM
What about all the dirt it is expected to have to wash away?

ShoutGrace
06-14-2006, 02:45 AM
What dirt? How much time was spent between showerings?

Mililalil XXIV
06-14-2006, 02:47 AM
And when were the clothes washed? Ye know not of dirt enough?

ShoutGrace
06-14-2006, 02:52 AM
Don't I look clean enough? You don't suspect me of uncleanliness do you?

caesar
06-14-2006, 03:04 AM
If I didn't, would I ask?

ShoutGrace
06-14-2006, 03:13 AM
I could I assure anybody either way?

Chava
06-14-2006, 03:16 AM
Could you?

ShoutGrace
06-14-2006, 03:18 AM
If I could, what do you think that it would take?

Chava
06-14-2006, 04:32 AM
What was the original question again?

AimusSage
06-14-2006, 05:22 AM
Did it have anything to do with unclean furry creatures acting in a soap-opera written by Guiseppe Verdi that was until recently washed away in obscurity?

Pendragon
06-14-2006, 08:48 AM
Perhaps it had to do with the furry creatures with wings inside of Aimus' head? ;)

AimusSage
06-14-2006, 09:04 AM
I have winged furry creatures in my head? Are you sure? Are you sure you don't mean little Johnny's head?

caesar
06-14-2006, 10:04 AM
The original question was whether I suspect ShoutGrace of uncleanliness, wasn't it?

AimusSage
06-14-2006, 10:17 AM
Why is the glass half empty? Is this not the original question?

RJbibliophil
06-14-2006, 01:48 PM
Why must Aimus always be fishing in the air?

AimusSage
06-14-2006, 02:18 PM
I do what?

Chava
06-14-2006, 03:18 PM
Do you do anything?

AimusSage
06-14-2006, 03:25 PM
Wasn't I just wondering the same thing? :D

ShoutGrace
06-14-2006, 04:10 PM
Isn't wondering about something in fact doing something?

AimusSage
06-14-2006, 04:29 PM
What if Chava meant to say doing anything useful? Don't you think I would have to answer that question negatively?

ShoutGrace
06-14-2006, 04:30 PM
Wouldn't it be best to ask her? Where did she go?

AimusSage
06-14-2006, 04:35 PM
Maybe she had to feed little Johnny because Kathy asked her to? Or is that only a wild guess?

ShoutGrace
06-14-2006, 04:37 PM
How do you feed a Johnny who is capable of peeing into a skyscraper sized cup?//

AimusSage
06-14-2006, 04:38 PM
Maybe he only needs to drink a lot, and needs only a small amount of food?

ShoutGrace
06-14-2006, 04:39 PM
Isn't that true of a lot of people/living organisms?

AimusSage
06-14-2006, 04:40 PM
why would it be inconceivable that little Johnny eat just one cracker a day?

ShoutGrace
06-14-2006, 04:42 PM
Is it a saltine cracker or any other kind of cracker?

AimusSage
06-14-2006, 04:45 PM
Don't you think you'd have to ask Chava or Kathy that question?

kathycf
06-14-2006, 04:48 PM
How the heck should I know?

AimusSage
06-14-2006, 04:50 PM
You mean to say that you never feed little Johnny?

kathycf
06-14-2006, 04:53 PM
Do I even know little Johnny? Why is feeding him suddenly MY responsibility?

ShoutGrace
06-14-2006, 04:55 PM
Hasn't it been more than intimated that you are his mother?

Are you somehow denying that fact?

AimusSage
06-14-2006, 04:55 PM
You mean to say you are not his mother? :eek2: Do you agree little Johnny just got a lot more scary?

kathycf
06-14-2006, 05:03 PM
Am I to blame for other's intimations that Johnny is somehow my offspring?

Wasn't it in fact Aimus who brought Johnny into this game in the first place???? Isn't that the real scariness in this whole Johnny business?

ShoutGrace
06-14-2006, 05:04 PM
Isn't it obvious that this entire business has had me alternately frightened/dumbfounded from the very beginning?

When will little Johnny go away?

AimusSage
06-14-2006, 05:10 PM
Who's little Johnny?

kathycf
06-14-2006, 05:13 PM
Maybe we should discuss who little Janey is? Is she Johnny's sister?

AimusSage
06-14-2006, 05:14 PM
Are they twins?

kathycf
06-14-2006, 05:17 PM
If they are twins, do you think they were seperated at birth?

AimusSage
06-14-2006, 05:21 PM
Why would that have happened?

ShoutGrace
06-14-2006, 05:28 PM
Wasn't the mother a fugitive, being hounded by Russian hypochondriac bureau officials?

kathycf
06-14-2006, 05:29 PM
Who knows? Why don't you ask ShoutGrace?
Isn't he the guy to answer all sorts of questions? Or does he just ask them?

ShoutGrace
06-14-2006, 05:31 PM
Isn't the real trick satiating a question with another question?

Couldn't I say the same of you Kathy?? :D :D

AimusSage
06-14-2006, 05:32 PM
What if they were Siamese twins?

kathycf
06-14-2006, 05:34 PM
What do I look like, some sort of know-it-all? :D

AimusSage
06-14-2006, 05:46 PM
You really have trouble admitting things don't you?

ShoutGrace
06-14-2006, 05:58 PM
Isn't modesty a commendable quality in a lady?

AimusSage
06-14-2006, 06:11 PM
What does modesty have to do with it?

ShoutGrace
06-14-2006, 06:22 PM
Are you talking about implicated or explicit modesty?

AimusSage
06-14-2006, 06:35 PM
Do I have to think about that now?

kathycf
06-14-2006, 06:40 PM
Can modesty be explicit?

Am I being modest? I thought I was saying I was a dope, don't you think? :p

ShoutGrace
06-14-2006, 06:50 PM
Don't we always give you the benefit of the doubt?

AimusSage
06-14-2006, 06:51 PM
Is doubt beneficial for Kathy?

kathycf
06-14-2006, 06:55 PM
Of course it is....isn't it?

AimusSage
06-14-2006, 06:59 PM
Doesn't that suggest you have something to hide?

kathycf
06-14-2006, 07:05 PM
Why would you ever think that?

AimusSage
06-14-2006, 07:08 PM
What else could I think? Don't you know I am paranoid about people that are called Kathy? Have you never heard about the psycho that killer her sister? Wasn't she named Kathy? :p

kathycf
06-14-2006, 07:17 PM
Shouldn't that person correctly be called Cathy? Isn't Kathy a non-murdery type of name? Do you see the difference?

AimusSage
06-14-2006, 07:26 PM
Are you saying that the killer disguised her true identitiy by changing her name to Cathy? That's not such a good disguise is it? Why didn't the killer change her name into Oswald or something similarly different?

ShoutGrace
06-14-2006, 09:11 PM
Perhaps Oswald would be to obvious? Isn't Cathy a much less conspicuous name?

kathycf
06-14-2006, 10:08 PM
Indeed, wouldn't a murderer want to remain inconspicuous? But what if the murderer wanted to get caught? Maybe they might choose a very conspicuous name then?

Virgil
06-14-2006, 10:13 PM
Isn't there only one Kathy in this coversation that can be construed as a murderer?

kathycf
06-14-2006, 10:16 PM
Surely you don't mean little ol' me?

Virgil
06-14-2006, 10:17 PM
Aren't you being coy?

kathycf
06-14-2006, 10:27 PM
Coy? Isn't this all Aimus's fault? If anyone is a coy murderer, don't you think it would be him?

ShoutGrace
06-14-2006, 10:33 PM
He did misdirect a lot of attention from himself, didn't he?

kathycf
06-14-2006, 10:43 PM
Isn't that diabolical?

ShoutGrace
06-14-2006, 10:47 PM
Did we expect anything less?

ShoutGrace
06-14-2006, 10:48 PM
. . . Or more??

kathycf
06-14-2006, 10:51 PM
Are you saying Aim is an evil genius? :p

AimusSage
06-15-2006, 02:33 AM
Don't you think that if I was an evil genius I wouldn't have to talk about little Johnny an Janey, commonly known as Kathy's twins? :D

Virgil
06-15-2006, 07:44 AM
Why is this murderer talking to us? Don't you think he beats up little kids too?

Pendragon
06-15-2006, 10:11 AM
If I remember the Ray Steven's song correctly, Coy was the Shriner whose fez had a propeller on top, so how smart could he be? Isn't likely he'd talk to anyone of murder? :p

kathycf
06-15-2006, 10:49 PM
What could you expect of someone who wears a fez in polite company? Wait, are we polite company?

AimusSage
06-16-2006, 04:20 AM
Who are we talking about?

caesar
06-16-2006, 06:45 AM
Wasn't it about the wily walrus and the crafty carpenter?

Virgil
06-16-2006, 07:01 AM
Why does someone with the noble name of Caesar have a monkey for an avatar?

Pendragon
06-16-2006, 08:28 AM
Beware! Didn't you notice he also has a very big stick?

blondeatheart
06-16-2006, 10:32 AM
do you believe in true love?

RJbibliophil
06-16-2006, 12:30 PM
Aren't we supposed to talk softly and carry a big stick?

ShoutGrace
06-17-2006, 01:59 AM
Does that not depend on what your vocation/occupation is?

kathycf
06-17-2006, 02:10 AM
What if your occupation actually was big stick carrier who talks softly?

ShoutGrace
06-17-2006, 02:15 AM
Wouldn't you be laughed at for being a metaphorical caricature? :D

(Hey! oh, but it's Friday. It's so late where you are . . .)

kathycf
06-17-2006, 02:20 AM
don't you know I am by trade a big stick carrier as was my mother and her mother before her? Are you saying folks laugh at me? :p

(Heya! Tis true, it is late here...or early 2:18am :yawnb: )

ShoutGrace
06-17-2006, 02:23 AM
How does one develop an interest in jumbo stick carrying?

kathycf
06-17-2006, 02:35 AM
Hmm. how could I begin to tell?

ShoutGrace
06-17-2006, 02:39 AM
Perhaps you could start with your ancestors? What made them decide to do it?

AimusSage
06-17-2006, 04:09 AM
What does it pay being a stick carrier that speaks softly?

Pendragon
06-17-2006, 12:59 PM
For Blondeatheart: Why would I NOT believe in true love?

RJbibliophil
06-17-2006, 03:51 PM
Wouldn't speaking softly help prevent others from noticing you? Make it easier to sneak up on them?

caesar
06-17-2006, 04:06 PM
Do I love my stick?

RJbibliophil
06-17-2006, 05:06 PM
Why should you?

caesar
06-17-2006, 05:32 PM
Why not.......?

ShoutGrace
06-17-2006, 07:31 PM
Perhaps the stick is radioactive? Or infested with some nefarious disease?

RJbibliophil
06-17-2006, 09:34 PM
What gave you such a ridiculous idea? What have you recently been reading?

caesar
06-18-2006, 12:21 AM
Was it Hazardous Sticks by RJbibliophil

kathycf
06-18-2006, 02:47 AM
Was it Hazardous Sticks by RJbibliophil

Haven't you heard that is a best-seller?

Perhaps you could start with your ancestors? What made them decide to do it?

Do you think I should ask them? Do you think I could make that much of a long distance call?

What does it pay being a stick carrier that speaks softly?
Doesn't it pay for all my sock gartering needs?

AimusSage
06-18-2006, 03:43 AM
You have lots of sock gartering needs?

ShoutGrace
06-18-2006, 06:41 AM
Isn't sock gartering a rather demanding occupation?

Pendragon
06-18-2006, 10:06 AM
Do you think I should ask them? Do you think I could make that much of a long distance call?

If I recall, the good Doctor can make the connections for you through his T.A.R.D.I.S., fix you right up to call forward or backward through time on a cell phone, I believe? ;)

caesar
06-18-2006, 02:24 PM
What kinda question was that?

ShoutGrace
06-18-2006, 07:48 PM
If I recall, the good Doctor can make the connections for you through his T.A.R.D.I.S., fix you right up to call forward or backward through time on a cell phone, I believe? ;)

Wouldn't you need a hard line to perform such a complicated maneuver?

Pendragon
06-19-2006, 10:45 AM
Well, if you can believe in time travel, and a being that can regenerate 12 times, so that there will eventually be 13 of him, all criss-crossing each other in time, a small problem like that becomes insignificant, doesn't it? ;)

ShoutGrace
06-19-2006, 10:59 AM
Isn't it only earthworms or regenerate themselves into more of themselves?

Or do starfish do it as well?

thevintagepiper
06-19-2006, 11:15 AM
I thought starfish could simply expand, right?

ShoutGrace
06-20-2006, 02:23 AM
Where did you hear that?

Didn't you hear the (fantastical ? ) tale of the sailors/seamen who hated the starfish for some reason, and were chopping them up into 5 or 6 pieces, and throwing them into the ocean, unaware of the fact that they were creating 5 or 6 more starfish?

Pendragon
06-20-2006, 09:30 AM
Since yes, they do regenerate, the sailors were actually seeding the reef with more starfish, while trying to destroy them? Hee-hee! As for Doctor Who, don't you know that all things are possible with God, to him that believes, and in fiction?

ShoutGrace
06-24-2006, 02:37 AM
Isn't that what makes reading fiction so wonderful?

caesar
06-24-2006, 11:30 AM
what........?

Pendragon
06-24-2006, 11:34 AM
Isn't it though? Ceaser, did you forget you had opposable thumbs for a moment? ;)

caesar
06-25-2006, 04:51 AM
Is your tail as good as my opposable thumbs?

Pendragon
06-25-2006, 09:37 AM
Would you believe a Dragon's tail is NOT prehensile? Where’s the fairness in that?

AimusSage
06-25-2006, 09:38 AM
Dragons don't have opposable thumbs on their claws?

caesar
06-25-2006, 11:32 AM
Would you believe a Dragon's tail is NOT prehensile? Where’s the fairness in that?

Isn't it fair that you are blessed with an appendage which can keep off flies? :D

Dragons don't have opposable thumbs on their claws?

Opposable or not, but his claws are as prehensile as his mind; if not, how do you think he uses his pen? ;)

kathycf
06-25-2006, 05:10 PM
Why ask Aimus that, isn't his field of expertise all things turnip related?
In other words, isn't Aimus a turniper?

ShoutGrace
06-25-2006, 06:35 PM
What else would we expect out of Aimus?

Pendragon
06-25-2006, 09:49 PM
Yeah, Dragons have opposable thumbs but how many people make a pen to fit in them? http://www.cosgan.de/images/midi/traurig/b007.gif And Ceaser, do you really think a fly could bother an armor-plated Dragon? :D

caesar
06-26-2006, 03:55 AM
I don't know; but why not use your tail for a pen?

That way, you can not only make your tail useful, but also overcome the difficulty in finding a pen that fits your claws.

AimusSage
06-26-2006, 06:03 AM
But aren't I the best turniper in the known universe?
