Ender
07-12-2004, 06:05 PM
Is the stranger hot? My answer depends on that.

verybaddmom
07-12-2004, 06:16 PM

Koa
07-13-2004, 08:46 AM

Would you rob a bank if you were desperate for money?

Koa
07-13-2004, 10:52 AM
Uhm wow... in theory yes, but then I know in reality I'm never able to make those wishes come true even if I have the chance...

Would you forgive your partner if he/she cheated on you? (I mean, going out with someone else etc, not sure the phrase is correct)

Jay
07-13-2004, 01:21 PM

Would you be able to cheat on your boy/girlfriend?

Koa
07-13-2004, 01:36 PM

(every link to my own life is absolutely not wanted)
(does this make it a form of yes to the previous question?)

emily655321
07-13-2004, 10:13 PM
Would I......huh? Um...I don't think so. I'd be happier just getting a cat. Of course, I've yet to have ONE person who likes me, so maybe once I do it'll kick-start the sense of deprivation when they're gone..

:D If you could finally meet the famous person you idolize, but only if you were naked when you met them, would you do it?

verybaddmom
07-14-2004, 03:59 AM

would you run your own forum if you had opportunity?

emily655321
07-15-2004, 05:33 AM
I've thought about it lately, just for my friends who are never online. But I wouldn't want to run a public website. I don't like being the person in charge of stuff.

Would you make all your own clothes if you had the time and ability?

Koa
07-15-2004, 12:49 PM

yikes

would you ever sell your ...um...products of fertility (ie: eggs or sperm)?

Ender
07-15-2004, 09:33 PM
Why not? it's not like I need them to survive.

Would you give something you needed to survive to someone else if they needed it?

verybaddmom
07-15-2004, 10:07 PM
that one depends on who it was that needed my 'bits'

would you ever run away with the circus?

evulik
07-17-2004, 03:37 PM
I would, if it is my boyfriend's diary :D (too nasty?)

verybaddmom
07-17-2004, 04:01 PM

i'll pick up here, just because i can....

would you ever snoop through your boyfriend/girlfriends computer (ie: email, pictures, history, etc?)

Kiwi Shelf
07-18-2004, 11:06 PM
I would attempt to, but I probably would end up staying awake anyways.

Sorry, been away and don't have a lot of back track time, so sorry if my question has been asked. Uh, would you live on another planet if you had the chance?

emily655321

Would you do an advertisement for a product you absolutely hated if someone paid you a lot?

Koa

Would you like a new computer?

Koa
07-19-2004, 03:41 PM
No, I dont give a damn about being up to date...the important thing is that I can connect to the internet!!!
(Kiwi, then the previous question didn't really apply to you cos it means you're not addicted! Lucky thing... I want a life :()

Would you tell someone to f*ck off (maybe in other words ;)) cos you can't stand him/her, but they did really nothing bad to you, just they irritate you with their own existance... ?

Kiwi Shelf
07-20-2004, 12:04 AM
I've done that before, and it did not make me very popular. Generally I wait for a really good reason, and then tell them right where to go.
(I use to be addicted to computers, Koa, but they lost interest to me...)

Would you climb a mountain?

Would you go to bed if you had to wake up the next day early but you didn't feel like sleeping though you'd knew you'd be tired as hell tomorrow? (no grammar or stylistic features in my current state of mind :D)
that was me this morning - not sleepy until 01:00 but had to wake up at 5:50. nearly cried when i got a 2:30 phone call, was sure i was going to expire today from exhaustion. so, yeah i considered not going to sleep, but instead never woke up, and just went back to bed asap.

emily655321
07-21-2004, 09:06 AM
Hell no.

Hell yea.

Would you be crushed if an angel or something appeared to you and said, "There is no afterlife, only this life, which you will repeat in exactly the same manner over and over until the end of time"?

I would love to marry someday.

Would you choose immortality and eternal youth dispite the consequence of watching generation after generation of friends and loved ones die?

verybaddmom
07-22-2004, 12:17 AM
Is that a proposal? ;)

actually yes, i would, very much so. Im at the point now that im just waiting for him to ask me (im too old fashioned, apparently, to ask him). its all very amusing, because i have sworn since the day my divorce was final (apr. 1 1994...happy april fool's day!!) that i would NEVER get married again...government*mutter*piece of paper*mutter*silly social institution*mutter mutter*...
now i get all smarmy whenever there is a wedding or proposal on movies and such. silly women.

would you ever propose to a guy (if you are female)?
would you accept if a woman proposed to you (if you are male)?

Kiwi Shelf
07-22-2004, 10:11 AM

Would get married outside the norm? (not an old-fashioned wedding)

would you fall in love with stranger you barely spoke to, never seen but receiving an email from him/her makes your heart beat faster? ;)

verybaddmom
07-22-2004, 01:31 PM
well, i have to say yes, as that is precisely what i have done. i met my boyfriend on the internet (dont knock it till you've tried it!) and that's precisely how it happened.
from the first email i showed all symptoms of goofyness....heart racing, butterflies etc.

would you ever follow through on such a thing?

emily655321
07-22-2004, 04:16 PM
Even if I thought I liked him, I wouldn't let onto it until I'd met him, first several times in a group setting, then alone just as friends, then I'd see where it went from there. -- In other words, the same way I'd do it in real life. I still don't consider myself to "know" a person until I've met them in the flesh.

Would you agree to be a guinea pig for a new kind of medicine, before they knew what the side affects were?

verybaddmom
07-22-2004, 04:23 PM

would you ever unknowingly put drugs in a friend's food/drink?
ya know, for giggles?
(in high school i had a "friend" put magic mushrooms in an omelette we were making for cooking class.....omg, not a nice experience!)

Koa
07-22-2004, 04:47 PM
No, I dont find it particularly funny. Though my friends once put spices in my piece of cake, I realised immediately but apparently they found it funny... If it hadnt been my best friends I might have felt quite bad for being made fun of.

(on an older topic... I met my first, only, screwed, useless, painful, wishiicouldforgetit love on the internet, and ran away on the other side of Europe to meet him... now that I think about it it was crazy, he might have been a serial killer for all I knew... But I was lucky in that ;) Though one of the reasons why the story was so hard and screwed was that I never could accept that we had met that way, it's just a different approach but most people judge it very badly so I felt it was crap and only my best friends knew about it, even now when i talk about it I avoid telling how we 'met', I even lie if I'm asked (of course people wonder how I found and English boy...)... Maybe if I had accepted that some things would have been better, but anyway it had many other flaws, including distance that at first didnt matter much but after a couple of years became unbearable... Btw I'm seeing him again next week just for the sake of doing something for the holidays, but I don' t really feel like...stupid me. Oops sorry, got carried away on the telling-the-story-of-my-life mood...  )

Would you participate to a 'game' where you contact people (with the implicit aim of dating) via sms for example? (I mean there's a list of people and you just send a message to someone randomly, without knowing them before... I'm so desperate that for a sec I even thought of doing that, but then I'd be even more ashamed than knowing guys in the net :D)

Kiwi Shelf
07-22-2004, 04:56 PM
Nope, you never know the creeps you could run into doing that...

Would you... ummm... change anything major of your appearance?

Koa
07-22-2004, 05:23 PM
Good question... I'm quite against changing thing going against nature, but I'd change pretty much everything on me... I mean I wouldnt do it really I think, but if I had a magic wand... Also I should change it by just wearing different stuff or having different styles maybe...
(clear answer uh? ;))

If you were a wannabe famous singer, would you go to those crap tv shows where they pretend to train you at that then you have competitions etc (not sure how it really works), just to reach fame even if it's tv-trash? (I'm sure you have those tv shows everywhere in the world too?)

nome1486
07-22-2004, 08:45 PM
No, even if I had a fabulous singing voice and a good chance of a career I would rather earn my fame in some other way, because most people don't think of reality-tv celebrities as legitimate stars.

would you accept a superpower if it meant you would never have a normal life again?

verybaddmom
07-23-2004, 10:47 AM

would you take a trip to the moon, if they offered vacation packages there?

Would you choose immortality and eternal youth dispite the consequence of watching generation after generation of friends and loved ones die?

Would you be confident enough in your ability to tattoo or pierce someone else's body? (Upon request, of course. ;))

would you shave your head completely and visit your ex? :D (well this just crossed my mind, uff, such thoughts)

Isagel
07-26-2004, 04:51 AM

Done. I got to carry a big gun and look mean. Then I died. Had to lie face down in a pool of fake blood on a cold concrete floor, in the background of an action scene...For almost the whole day, while they shoot the scene over, and over, and over. That was my minute of fame. It did not feel like I thought it would. Never been so bored in my life. But I might do it again. If I do not have to play corpse.

would you walk naked round New York if that can help you to support your ideals?

peapod
08-10-2004, 04:43 PM
Hello everyone! My name is peapod and this looks like a great place. I hope I can contribute something. I usually start my day with the following song.

Immanuel Kant was a real pissant
who was very rarely stable.
Heidegger, Heidegger was a boozy beggar
who could think you under the table.
David Hume could out consume
Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel,
And Wittgenstein was a beery swine
who was just as sloshed as Schlegel.

There's nothing Nietzsche couldn't teach ya
'bout the raisin' of the wrist.
Socrates himself was permanently pissed.

John Stuart Mill, of his own free will,
after half a pint of shandy was particularly ill.
Plato, they say, could stick it away,
'alf a crate of whiskey every day!
Aristotle, Aristotle was a bugger for the bottle,
and Hobbes was fond of his Dram.
And Rene Descartes was a drunken fart:
"I drink, therefore I am."

Yes, Socrates himself is particularly missed;
A lovely little thinker, but a bugger when he's pissed

No I would not walk around new york naked to support my ideals, I would not even walk around my house to support them. Maybe I don't have any? Thats a ponder.

I wouldn't fake my own death, it would be too cruel. Would you pull a stunt like that, one that could hurt your loved ones, if you would be paid $1 million (like on that show My Big Fat Fiance or whatever it was)?

poehee99
08-16-2004, 02:34 PM
no I wouldn't. We had a show like that in holland. It was called masterplan. At the start of the show three people could win 1 million guilders (about 500.000 dollars). at the beginning of the show they signed a contract and after that they had no saying in their own life and had to listen and do everything the "master"said for 3 months. During the show they staged someone's death to see the reaction of his family. after this episode was on there was such a row about this in holland that the show got cancelled. i think rightly so, how far can you go with television. but for my own question: If you could live in the future for one day (say in 2099) but at the end of the day you would die, would you do it?

Taliesin
08-16-2004, 05:05 PM
Certainly not. Earth in the year 2099 could be a horrible dystopia. I would not sell my life for a glance in the future, that could be horrible.

Would you false testimony to save a person who you love? Or just a friend?

If, on election day, you had to choose between two people who are both equally unfit to govern your country, would you stil vote and, if yes, why?

papayahed
08-18-2004, 03:15 PM
Yes I would vote. I would either pick the lesser of two evils or I would ruin the ballot by voting for both. I always vote, so many people can't do it. Plus it's like somebody asking my opinion I never pass up the opportunity.

If you could go back and change one thing about your life, would you?

Koa
08-18-2004, 03:31 PM
If, on election day, you had to choose between two people who are both equally unfit to govern your country, would you stil vote and, if yes, why?

 isn't this exactly what voting is about??? choosing the smallest evil?

Ok I asked a question, might as well answer to the previous one... I'm not sure I'd change anything cos there's not a single thing I think would have been better...I mean, I either change everything or keep it like it is. Or, on second thoughts, maybe I'd change my teenage years and I'd go out and do like other teenagers do instead of withdrawing from social life...

Edit: I realised this is not the question games but the would you game so my question doesn't really work...

Would you refuse to buy one thing because it's advertised by a famous person you hate? (I did once, there was this magazine with stuff about my fav. band but I hated the dj who advertised it so I didnt buy it....I'm still regretting it...:D)

Taliesin

The whole - I don't think so (unless the poor person of whom we are speaking about is me ;) )
The half - it depends. If the rest of it is big enough that I could live comfortably or be happy with it, then sure.
But I would give a share of it, yes (unless it is like 10.00)

Would you accept a chance if you were offered that you could time-travel, but would arrive in the body of a seven-year-old you in the time and place where you were being at when you were seven? You would lose about one quarter of what you know due to frictions and stuff.

poehee99
08-24-2004, 03:52 PM
no, there's a song in holland called "zo mooi wordt het nooit meer" by a dutch singer called harrie Jekkers. The song is about the question what you would do if, after your death, god would ask you whether you wanted to live your life again. and at the end of the song he sings that he wouldn't do that because it wouldn't be as beautiful as the first time it happened. i think he's right about that.

i dont think so, i think the education one would get in a culturally diverse area may be a more valuable one. in fact i moved from a wealthy (ish) area (that i could barely afford) to a more culturally diverse city (that i can also barely afford) and find that my son is enjoying it far more. i think i would rather his education encompass both life matters AND academics.

If offered a choice, would you became immortal? So that you could never die. You wouldn't age either.

poehee99
08-27-2004, 06:05 AM
no, because then you would outlive everyone and I couldn't deal with that. the beauty of life is that it has an end. I don't mean that to sound as if i'm very depressed. what i mean is that the beauty of some things is that it is dangerous. for instance, the thrill you get when bungyjumping or skydiving, is because of the danger. if you couldn't die there would be no thrill in that, would it.

If you were talking of immortality of the human race as a whole, i wouldn't like that either because i believe that society would be much worse with more wars and fighting. and other problems like shortage of food and over population.

Monica

atiguhya padma
08-31-2004, 12:41 PM
poehee99:

No there isn't. You assume that good and evil are inextricably polarised. They are not. When people commit the most monstrous crimes, they are assumed by large numbers of the general populace to be inherently evil, and without any redeeming qualities. This is obviously wrong. Even Stalin or Hitler had more human traits than the evil monsters they are portrayed to be.

Neither speech nor religion seem particularly free to me. There are legal restrictions on what you can say, and much religious belief is a result of cultural conditioning. But if the question is rephrased as "what would you prefer to give up the idea of free speech or the idea of freedom of religious belief", then I think it is dependent on whether freedom of religious belief means compulsory religious belief or no religious belief. In the case of the former, I would rather (marginally) give up free speech to preserve my intellectual integrity. In the case of the latter, I would give up freedom of religious belief any day.

The Oxford theologian Keith Ward has recently written a book in which he claims the world is now ready for religious convergence. Can the world ever unite in its religious belief? After all, don't most religions believe in their own absolute truths, which differ from religion to religion?

Isagel
09-01-2004, 04:44 AM
I probably would not be able to, I strongly dislike violence asa solution to anything.
Humans are strange creatures - I might be able to kill if the same dictator was trying to kill just one person right here before me. I would not even have to be numerous lives - just one, here. But planning for an execution I probably just could not do.

Would you be a dictator if you thought that that was the only way for your country to live in peace?

atiguhya padma
09-01-2004, 04:53 AM
No. Not unless I knew that was the only way for my country to live in peace. But quite honestly, I'm not a great fan of nation-states and the nationalism / patriotism that goes with it. I see no reason to align myself with a concept that I am associated with merely out of the accident of birth. Of course, I have many individuals to thank for who and what I am, but that is a very different matter to becoming nationalistic etc. In my book, individuals are always more important than groups, people are more significant than states.

07-06-2005, 02:04 AM
Grin and bear it. I can never bring myself to hurt someone's feelings if it can be avoided.

Would you skydive?

Helga
07-06-2005, 07:16 AM
will do just that next month...can't wait!! :D

would you sit in a 'kiss for a dollar' booth for charity?

mono
07-06-2005, 03:52 PM
No - too shy. I would try to find charity in different ways.

Same question.

Bianca Fransen
07-06-2005, 03:58 PM
Ehm.. noop. Bad breath, I'm afraid. Would be afraid that I would have to give people money to kiss me ;) Would also have to find other ways for charity.

Would you apply for a job you really want and would get if you know you're colleague wants and needs it more than you do?

Rachy
07-06-2005, 04:18 PM
Not if they needed it more than me!

Same question!

kilted exile
07-06-2005, 04:43 PM
It would depend on two things: 1) Am I happy at my current job & 2) Do I like my co-worker.

Would you rob a bank if you knew you would never be caught?

Nightshade
07-06-2005, 06:14 PM
No I dont think so
a) because it would be cheating and get rid of the nice justified feeling you get when you are paid and
b) It would take the fun out of it, why rob if there is no risk involved??

Would you consider space travel??

Helga
07-06-2005, 08:23 PM
YES COUNT ME IN..... I wanna meet some Klingons and Andorians and most of all Vulcans....

would you bungee jump?

Miss Darcy
07-07-2005, 02:09 AM
No. *sheepish grin*

Would you dress up in period style as a member of the opposite sex for fun, at a party where you knew a lot of people (and perhaps didn't want to be recognised :D)? *even sheepier grin*

Bianca Fransen
07-07-2005, 04:23 AM
*thinking hard* No, because I am a perfectionist.. and I would be afraid that my voice gives me away.. Though I might be able to play a boy. Hmm. Difficult. If I didn't want to recognized I would probably try to disguise my face with a veile or lots of make-up..

Would you adopt a child?

imthefoolonthehill
07-07-2005, 05:05 AM
I'd rather adopt, I wouldn't wish my genes on anyone.

There's enough kids in the world without parents... I wouldn't adopt unless I was married, though.

would you date someone who barely spoke your language?

Koa
07-07-2005, 08:24 AM
I've never dated/been slightly liked by anyone whose native language was the same as mine (oh ok except once), so I guess I would again... unless you mean that we have no languages in common, then I might not... I get hugely bored if I cant talk. (there was a guy in Hungary who once seemed to be trying to ask me out but his English was terrible and my Hungarian even worse...so I just avoided him). But if the guy is interesting and we can somehow communicate, then I might try anyway....(thinking of a guy I had some sort of conversations with even if the situation was the same as the abovementioned one).

Would you learn Chinese?

mono
07-07-2005, 03:53 PM
Sure, but I do not think I would choose it as my first preference for another language.

Do you think you would respond well to an emergency situation (i.e. an accident or someone dying)?

would you start being not really overly nice to others right after signing up on a forum?

CheshireCat87
07-07-2005, 05:39 PM
probably im not an overly nice not-in-person person but i am a fairly nice in-person person you know

would you kill someone you didn't know to save someone you did know's life????? or would you buy a book for the soul purpose to read it on the toilet and then return it to the book store knowing that the person who would purchase it would never know that that book had been in a bathroom and covered in fecal particals?

amuse
07-07-2005, 08:06 PM
oh help! i never want to buy a book again! thank goodness for this forum! :D :( :D :(

*passes answer duty to next person

chmpman
07-08-2005, 01:44 AM
No, but I don't really read on the toilet often, or really at all. As for the first question I really doubt it, although it might depend on my involvement with the person, and the ages and lifestyle pattern of each of them.

Would you be honest breaking up with someone if you found them completely shallow and devoid of a personality? (honest in the nicest way possible)

Koa
07-08-2005, 03:29 PM
I probably would. And probably not in the nicest way... I can be a real monster...

Would you go to a concert of a band you really dislike but your best friend likes and take you there?

mono
07-08-2005, 03:49 PM
I have too many times before, and still had a fun time, such as when my father won tickets to see Neil Diamond - I cannot call myself a fan, but I can say that he put on a good show. :D

Though my previous question did partially consist of a "would you" worded differently, for the purposes of certain others, I will phrase it differently, which may, in turn, sound confusing:
Would you, do you think, respond well to an emergency situation (i.e. an accident or someone dying)?

shortysweetp
07-08-2005, 04:20 PM
I think I do but i'm not sure if it were someone close like my hubby or daughter.

would you purposely be mean to someone that annoys you, so that they will leave you alone?

Koa
07-08-2005, 04:26 PM
I really think I would... I've probably done it before. I'm not a fan of being good at any cost.

Would you move to another country? (not for reasons like a partner or a friend being there...just out of nothing)

shortysweetp
07-08-2005, 04:28 PM
yes i would. i think i would like the change

would you ever move for love?

Koa
07-08-2005, 04:32 PM
I'd move for any reason... but I wouldnt if I wasnt convinced of my love and had things I prefer to finish here (cos that's what I've done, I preferred to finish Uni before moving and anyway the thing didnt last that long and now I think that if I had been in love I would have left anyway)

Would you play a joke to someone like substituting their drink for another similar-looking one?

Bianca Fransen
07-08-2005, 04:35 PM
Noop, I must admit I am boring in that way.. but then: I do not like it really when people play a practicle joke on me.. and I always picture myself in their shoes. That takes the fun out of it.

Would you kiss someone just for the experience?

Koa
07-08-2005, 04:38 PM
(LOL Bianca I feel exactly the same about jokes!)

I definitely would cos my life has been so poor of kisses that I badly need some more experience. And I dont believe in doing things for love. But then at the practical moment I'd probably have big troubles as I'm too shy to even get near someone if I dont feel totally at ease.

Would you go to a club alone if they had a night with your favourite music but noone wants to come with you?

mono
07-09-2005, 04:23 PM
I have a few times in the past, so why not again? No one I knew liked Ben Folds, for example, and I really wanted to see him; so I went alone, and never regretted it - a very good show!

Would you give an impromptu speech about a subject you know well to an audience of roughly 2,500 people?

Nightshade
07-09-2005, 04:28 PM
Yes and no
I wouldnt get up and give a speech as such but if I thught people had the wrong idea I would get up and try and fix it ;) but I would never plan to give a speech to that many people!!

Would you like to be someone else for a day??

mono
07-09-2005, 04:36 PM
Sure, but only for a day. If you ask "who?" I have no idea.

Same question (a good one).

Koa
07-09-2005, 05:51 PM
Well I've often wished to be someone else...not only for a day. Someone else in general, just not me, with another kind of life, possibly an ordinary life... Or someone whose brain is void, cos I'm sure life would be easier.

Would you sing at a karaoke club? :D

kilted exile
07-09-2005, 06:20 PM
I have sung at a karaoke club on a couple of occassions (usually 500 miles), and I have been laughed at on each occassion. Some among you may well be asking yourself "if you cant sing, why do you inflict your terrible voice on people kilted?" The answer is quite simple - drunkenness.

Would you make a fool of yourself for charity?

Helga
07-09-2005, 07:38 PM

Would you travel to another state (or even country!) just to see your favourite band in concert?

Bianca Fransen
07-10-2005, 06:29 AM
Yes, I think so.. but then I am talking about Jerry Lee Lewis. He is almost 70 now.. so every concert I see, I fear it is going to be the last. I would probably travel to France, Germany of Great-Britain to see him. I have travelled to Germany, just across the border, for Udo Jurgens.

Would you buy a pet for the child of a friend?

ohh probably depending on what it was

same question?

Bianca Fransen
07-11-2005, 03:52 PM
Oh, just the thought of it scares me. No, I probably would not. Other people still have to persuade me to use something to decontaminate (can you say it like this) a small cut. If the cure itches I just leave the small wound like it is..

Would you babysit a small child if the parents wanted to leave for several weeks?

Monica
07-11-2005, 03:58 PM
I guess I would, but I'm not sure if it would be good for the baby... :D

Would you sing in front of 70 000 people?

Bianca Fransen
07-11-2005, 03:59 PM
If I wanted them to leave :brow: . No, honestly, I would not have the guts or the talent.

Would you drink a suspicious-looking cocktail in a bar that somebody you know recommends you?

Koa
07-11-2005, 05:32 PM
Well it depends on what makes it suspicious... if I'm in the right mood I drink almost anything, providing it contains alcohol :D If I'm not in the mood, only plain water for me please. So I guess I might.

shortysweetp
07-11-2005, 06:46 PM

would you want to know the future even if it meant seeing your own death or the death of a loved one?

Koa
07-12-2005, 08:15 AM
Absolutely not, I want life to be a surprise, otherwise what am I living for?

Same question.

mono
07-12-2005, 05:10 PM
Probably not; some things seem far better unknown (consult Greek character Tiresias about that one).

Would you ever travel to the Mariana Trench (in a safe submarine) to see what exists there?

Helga
07-12-2005, 05:48 PM

would you stalk a person if you were certain that you wanted to be with him/her?

Bianca Fransen
07-12-2005, 05:53 PM
Yes, I would. But I would try to hide it and be ashamed about it. I once thought I stalked a boy.. Turned out later he had never seen me  . Guess I can really blend in a crowd :brow:.

Would you take a very large loan to make your dream come true.. even if you didn't know whether you could ever pay it back?

Jack_Aubrey
07-12-2005, 05:57 PM
Yes, some risks are worth taking.

Would you ever base jump?

mono
07-13-2005, 01:38 PM
Maybe someday, but it may seem a little too daring for me. :p

Would you lie to someone to hide a painful truth?

Bianca Fransen
07-13-2005, 03:51 PM
Depends for who the truth is painful. If it is someone really close to me and the truth is painful, because it is embarrassing to me.. I would tell it. If it is painful for the one I am talking to.. or if it is embarrassing to me and I do not know the other person well - I would keep it for myself.

If someone died and left you a very brilliant script of a book - would you let it be published as your own?

Koa

Would you prefer to be locked for a whole day in the part of the house where the bedrooms are (therefore without food) or in the kitchen part? (therefore with no bahtroom?)
(inspired by my best friend ;))

papayahed
07-15-2005, 10:13 AM
I'd pick the kitchen, this may sound really gross, but there's always the kitchen sink in an extreme emergency.

This one came to me this morning: If you could write a book and have it considered one of the greats and have your name mentioned alongside Hemingway, Salinger, etc.. would you spend half your life as a a drug/Alcohol addict?

mono
07-15-2005, 08:16 PM
I have noticed how so many brilliant writers frequently used drugs and/or alcohol: Poe, Hemingway, Wilde, Kerouac, Swinburne, etc.
To answer your question, well . . . okay, I admit, I have "experimented" some, and with some . . . substances, I felt especially . . . creative, but the after-effects felt miserable. So, the answer: yes, but not an addict. :D

If someone seriously hurt someone you love, would you "take care of the matter" yourself, or turn him/her to law authorities?
