Would you have an affair if you were unhappily married?

lilimarlene
11-16-2012, 01:44 PM
I hope that if there was an issue we would both be adult enough to work it out. I believe if 2 people are committed enough that anything can be overcome. I haven’t been married but was in a long term relationship that had its ups and downs. He was not easy to communicate with and I tried and tried to make things work out, it was like banging my head against a brick wall. On top of that, I know he cheated on me and I know I should have left him for that. My emotional needs weren’t being met but I had invested so much in this relationship and I was very very attached to him I just couldn’t seem to leave him.

But only because I'm completely anonymous can I admit that one day I met someone and the attraction was so very powerful that I knew I absolutely had to get to know this man better. To make a long story short we had an affair. He had all the qualities that I longed for and had been missing from my life for such a long time. It didn’t last very long, but I have no regrets. I believe my partner suspected what was going on but did not confront me, had he, I would have admitted the whole thing to him. I think he was afraid to find out the truth.

I don’t want to be in a dysfunctional relationship like that ever again. It is not in my natural to cheat, I believe in loyalty and fidelity but sometimes circumstances can change even the best people into doing something that is not in their nature.

tonywalt

Well, that sounds reasonable and faithful as a human can get - I think I am beginning to get Womens Point of View now! hhhmmmm. No, I doubt I would ever do that plus I'm not anonymous. But seriously I'd have to be unhappy as hell.

Would you get any dog breed going forward?(lighter question)

lilimarlene
11-16-2012, 02:49 PM
(I was like a dying plant with no sun or water. I will never be in a situation like that again. I was talking with a few close friends recently that had cheating fathers. They had later found out that in retaliation that their mothers had affairs. I was completely shocked as I knew one of the woman and would never ever guess she would be capable of that.I guess the old adage what's good for the goose is good for the gander applies more frequently then I had thought!)

Would you be annoyed if a friend of your ex bf/gf asked you out after you had broken up?

lilimarlene
11-20-2012, 12:01 AM
I would find it extremely tacky if an ex I had dated for awhile started asking a friend of mine out.Luckly* my friends have the same ethics I do and would never date an ex of mine and the same holds for me.I have dated someone that an acquaintance had very casually dated and that was a year later and I called her to clear it first.I would not be impressed with an ex bf 's friend asking me out and frankly I would only consider it if I was feeling on the vengeful side.So the same question to you.Would it bother you if a friend of yours asked out, lets say the latest ex of yours?
