islandclimber
03-31-2008, 03:00 AM
(it is a problem the work thing.. I may retire soon.. at the ripe age of 24 :D)

can I say both... :p but if I really had to choose.. you know one of the common occurences, where the "choices" killer comes up to you and says "you must choose between learning and language and learning to play an instrument or I will kill you"... well, at the moment I might just let him kill me... I am so indecisive.. unfair question :p haha

would you sing to the stars every night, if they were out?

Sarasvati21
03-31-2008, 03:04 AM
I would have a hard time with that one, too. I'd hate to have to choose. This is my last post tonight, I think. Off to bed with me.

Haha, I do sing to the stars. Every night. :)

Chava
03-31-2008, 02:00 PM

Lady Raven
03-31-2008, 06:04 PM

would you tell someone you thought they were a superfluous person, if you thought that? or just keep silent?

Tournesol

would you go swimming in the ocean at night, if you knew there could be sharks in the water? (sharks are more likely to attack humans at night, as they can't recognize as easily that we aren't normal pray)

Sarasvati21
04-01-2008, 12:07 AM
Nope. Wouldn't go swimming at early morning/sunrise, either. Or when it had been storming, and the water was murky in a bay.

04-01-2008, 01:20 AM
2.

Would you rather go bungee jumping or sky diving?

islandclimber
04-01-2008, 01:31 AM
I've been bungee jumping, and found it dreadfully dull... it was only interesting right at the beginning.. so Sky diving for sure... and though I believe base-jumping would be fantastically fun, I do not have a death wish (as it has an almost 100percent mortality rate for those who do more than a few times)... so normal skydiving...

ice climbing or rock climbing?

Sarasvati21
04-01-2008, 01:34 AM
You've been bungee jumping?!?!? That's crazy. I've never met anyone who has actually gone bungee jumping.

Hmm...rock climbing.

A quick, shallow, brainless read, or a long, time consuming read you'll get something from?

Lady Raven

I love a good long book, if it's a good long book~ ;)

islandclimber
04-02-2008, 02:52 PM
nope.. I would probably give it to charity... for I don't think something like that would belong to anyone totally on the right side of the law... :p
I would give it to some charity.. though there are so many garbage charities that I would have trouble finding one that I actually believed wasn't just taking money and doing nothing...

Would laugh at someone else's misfortune, if it was of a comedic nature?

papayahed
04-02-2008, 07:05 PM
if it was truely comedic and it wasn't that big of a misfortune.

Would you join a church group just to get a date?

RoCKiTcZa
04-02-2008, 10:59 PM
Yes, probably. Unfortunately, in today's worsening condition, I wouldn't take risks, especially now that homeless people in my place are often armed not only with weapons but also with devilish thoughts in their heads. If I were rich enough and had a business of my own, I'd rather give him a job.

If somebody held you up (holdup, as we say), and you knew some karate, would you fight him back, or give him what he wanted and RUN!!!-?

Sarasvati21
04-02-2008, 11:01 PM
Would you rather copy the encyclopaedia for an hour or do an advanced calculus problem?

RoCKiTcZa
04-02-2008, 11:04 PM
Do an advanced calculus problem--it'd help me a lot with my studies at science high.

Same as my old question. :)

djy78usa
04-02-2008, 11:07 PM
RoCKiTcZa: Depends on who was holding me up, whether they were armed, and what they wanted.

Sarasvati21: I'd go with the Encyclopedia... never was much for math problems :)

Would you make a 9.5 hour roundtrip to eat the greatest Cuban Sandwich in America? (you can find it in Ybor City, Florida by the way)

Sarasvati21
04-02-2008, 11:07 PM
It depends on how he was armed.

Would you stand in the middle of Time Square and sing at the top of your lungs?

RoCKiTcZa
04-02-2008, 11:10 PM
Yeah. :)

djy78usa: No thanks, I'm full :)

Sarasvati21: Definitely! :D I've always wanted to do such a thing. It'd help me banish all my misery :)

Would you smash an old cell phone (take note: an OLD cell phone) on the wall to get rid of your anger?

Sarasvati21
04-02-2008, 11:12 PM
I think it would be fun to sing in Time Square. :)

Tournesol
04-02-2008, 11:26 PM
You guys are really confusing things with all the unaswered questions etc!! lol...

Yes, I'd smash an old cellphone to get rid of anger.

Would you drink Coca Cola and chocolate milk at the same time?
[from two different vessels, you can't pour them into one vessel; it tastes better when you sip it from two separate vessels...now, why do I know this??]

RoCKiTcZa
04-02-2008, 11:26 PM
I think it would be fun to sing in Time Square. :)

Would you like to sing with my band? :p

Same question as mine (again) :D

Arrghy, I never noticed Kareemah Ali posted first! Sorry, sorry. Okay, here's my answer to his question: YES!!! I will drink that for an extra challenge! From one vessel, if that's how you'd like me to drink it! After all, if it tastes bad, I could probably give it back :) and give my father what remains of it :p

Sarasvati21
04-02-2008, 11:28 PM
Sure I'd like to sing in your band. :p

If you could, would you like to play an instrument in my band?

RoCKiTcZa, you should try the drink mix, it's absolutely delicious!!!
ALthough I've sworn off carbonated beverages, if I could but have some now...*sigh*

RoCKiTcZa
04-02-2008, 11:32 PM
Definitely! What vacant post do you have? :) Are you in need for a guitarist... or a pianist or a... whoops, I'm getting way too excited!

Would you make someone you met in a bookstore the lead singer of your band?

To Kareemah Ali: Sure! Let me see if I can get some later. I think that would be like one of those McDonald's Coke floats... or could it be even tastier? :p Oh, and by the way, my dad says Coke tastes pretty good with a raw egg in it!

Sarasvati21
04-02-2008, 11:35 PM
I would hold an audition first.

Umm...we could use a guitarist; we already have a pianist. :p

Would you buy a painting from a stand on the street?

RoCKiTcZa
04-02-2008, 11:37 PM
If the painting were really good... why not? Although I'd rather decorate my home with paintings I did myself... :p

What's the name of your band, by the way? :) Aww, if only I could get there on time... but then I would probably have to take a plane.

Would you involve yourself in a growling fight with a street dog if you were in one of your craziest moods? :p

Sarasvati21
04-02-2008, 11:39 PM
As would I. :)

If I were in the mood, yes. :p

If confronted with an angry dog, would you stand there an hope it goes away, or would you run?

Tournesol
04-02-2008, 11:47 PM
I would most likely be transfixed to the spot...not much choice, ey!

Would you tell off your mother-in-law-to-be on the day of your wedding [before the wedding]???

RoCKiTcZa
04-02-2008, 11:47 PM
Let's see. Let's analyze it. Analyze. Analyze.

If I ran away, it would run after me. Then, after hours and hours of running around in circles chasing one another, I would probably get tired and it would get me.
Meanwhile, if I just stood there waiting for it go away, the probability that the dog will go away is less than a half, seeing as it is angry and wants to do something really BAD, and in that case the dog is more probable to attack me.
Let's just say the confrontation happened in a dream. I'd wake up.

Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. Kareemah Ali overtook me!
:p

Well, my wedding day is years away... but well, I don't suppose I'd do that. I'm nice to my beloveds' (some of these are former, take note) parents, and I promised I'd always be :)

Sarasvati21
04-02-2008, 11:51 PM

If she had done something unforgivable, then yes, I would.

Would you refuse to marry someone if their religious beliefs differed from your own?

RoCKiTcZa
04-02-2008, 11:53 PM
No. No. No. Definitely not.

Religion, for me, is a given fact, but never a factor that can change my love for somebody.

Would you continue to do something you liked even though your life may be in danger if you did it, seeing as you might also become a hero if you went on with it?

Tournesol
04-02-2008, 11:55 PM
Yes, I wouldn't marry someone if their religious beliefs were different from mine.
But then again, I'm the type of person who wouldn't bother to get involved with someone who I know is different from me in that respect, especially if the person is very much into their faith.

I'm so sorry RoCKiTcZa, it shan't happen again!!

I'll post no new question for now...lol ;-)

Sarasvati21
04-02-2008, 11:57 PM
It would depend on what it was. If it were something where I was helping a lot of people, then I would continue. If I weren't making any difference, then I would stop.

Would you leave your Christmas tree in an unapproved location?

RoCKiTcZa
04-02-2008, 11:59 PM

Dude, that's all right. :)

Well, yes, I would! I'm exactly the type of person to do those things. Not if anyone would catch me and lock me up in the slammer, though. :)

RJbibliophil
04-03-2008, 12:01 AM
Would you leave your Christmas tree in an unapproved location?

Well, I probably would not just leave it on a street somewhere. But a random compost pile somewhere would do nicely. :p

Same question

RoCKiTcZa
04-03-2008, 12:04 AM
Most of us here have got artificial Christmas trees we could just pack away and reuse next year :)

Sarasvati21
04-03-2008, 12:06 AM
Most of us here have got artificial Christmas trees we could just pack away and reuse next year :)

I used to also, but the last couple of years we've had a real one. The artificial ones are a lot easier to take care of, I think. :)

Tournesol
04-03-2008, 12:08 AM
Well, I don't celebrate Christmas, and so I don't hve the problem of disposing/taking care of the tree.

Would you do purposefully do things to annoy your neighbour?

RoCKiTcZa
04-03-2008, 12:10 AM
I agree with you on that. :) For some reason my country is very much into putting up those gigantic Christmas trees, which are all artificial but are so huge they tower over malls and coliseums in the area. At home, people put up those 12-foot artificial trees too. The only person I know to maintain a natural Christmas tree is my uncle, and I don't think he had a real Christmas tree anymore last year. :(

Storytelling again, eh?

Would you tell stories to street children for charity?

Ah!!! Kareemah Ali! :D

Hehe. All right. Well, if I were living in my old house right now, I probably would. To get even with the old man across the street who plays records of his voice a lot from gigantic speakers.

Tournesol
04-03-2008, 12:14 AM
I would Love to tell stories for charity, especially to street children!!

What's a childhood without stories?! Unthinkable!

RoCKiTcZa
04-03-2008, 12:40 AM
Indeed! I am storyteller myself, and I really miss the work I used to do when I was newly affiliated with our National Book Development Board :) (started out when I was 11, after winning a contest)

Say, you guys are still on!!!

Would you tell your mother right into her face to SCRAM?

Sarasvati21
04-03-2008, 12:43 AM
No. I might think it, but I would never say it. Her feelings would be hurt.

Would you?

RoCKiTcZa
04-03-2008, 12:45 AM
I would if I could, but I can't. Whew.
Yes, probably I will. But no, I won't.

Would you try to defy fate?

Sarasvati21
04-03-2008, 12:47 AM
Do we really know what "fate" is? The lines seem kind of blurry between fate, coincidence, and "just the way things happen."

Would you suddenly leave your current town and just disappear somewhere with a new identity and life?

islandclimber
04-03-2008, 12:49 AM
yes!!!! well depends on the reason.. but just for spur of the moment fun... yes!!!

would you keep in touch with people from your last life, if you dropped everything and started anew?

Sarasvati21
04-03-2008, 12:51 AM
Only if I had been really close to them. And I might not tell them where I am, just that I'm okay.

Would you jump off a large cliff into the ocean below?

RoCKiTcZa

True. I don't really believe in fatalism much anyway.

Yes I would jump off a high cliff if I can be assured of my life after doing so. :)

I do on a regular basis when I'm living by the sea... (wait wait wait.. how large are we talking here???)

would you swim with killer whales in the water??

Sarasvati21
04-03-2008, 12:55 AM
(Hmm...I don't know; quite large.) :p

At Sea World, where they don't bite people...:p

Would you?

Tournesol
04-03-2008, 12:56 AM
I believe in pre-destination, as well as free-will. I don't believe in coincidence...I believe that everything happens for a reason.

now, as to Sarasvati's question:

I don't mind jumping off a large cliff into the ocean, as long as it's not a high cliff...lol..
Besides, I'm well-aqainted with the ocean...[afterall, I live on a Caribbean island]

RoCKiTcZa
04-03-2008, 12:56 AM
Indeed; I love killer whales! :D Those gentle giants won't attack me, would they?

Would you accept the promise of immortality on the condition that you must live alone?

islandclimber
04-03-2008, 12:57 AM
I did once, they were still pretty far from shore.. and I got out pretty quickly after the realization that I really don't like thinking about being eaten by a shark or a killer whale, however unlikely it is...

Rockitcza beat me to it...

I don't want immortality.. it would be so boring, with or without people.. though I do like time alone... hmmm...

would you spin in circles until you made yourself pass out?

Sarasvati21
04-03-2008, 12:58 AM
Live alone...in my house? That's fine. It would be a bummer not to be able to interact at all, though.

Would you loan someone something if you knew you'd never see it again?

RoCKiTcZa
04-03-2008, 12:59 AM
Oh gosh. This game is going all over the place.

And that's why I love it here ;) Do I still exist?

My answer to islandclimber's question:
Yes I have done that once; but for some reason it takes a long time before I get dizzy. I have lured my dad to doing so once when I was a little kid, and he fell down right away! :D

Wait... and my answer to sarasvati's question: Depends on how much this person needs it, and how much I needed it too. I'd rather give it to him--I suppose that should be the more appropriate word ;)

04-03-2008, 01:07 AM
would you spin in circles until you made yourself pass out?

I've actually done that before, and it's super fun!!

Would you allow yourself to fall in love with your "soul mate" if you knew you could only be with them for one year?

Tournesol
04-03-2008, 01:07 AM

Would you deny yourself love from a best friend, because you don't want to ruin the friendship?

Sarasvati21
04-03-2008, 01:10 AM
no, I think I would take the risk.

Would you admit to someone that you lost their belonging that you borrowed, or would you try to replace it?

Sarasvati21
04-03-2008, 01:13 AM

If you were awarded a prize for a story you wrote but later realized it was a mix up and you didn't really win. If you were the only one who knew, would you return the prize?

Well... I would, I once said I would save a cat in a house on fire. But then my wife complained of that, and she provide me to risk my life for save an animal. She would be mad at me -_- Still even she not allowing it whenever there is a chance I would do it. At least for me it is important. For her they don't have soul so they doesn't matter.

I don't know. It would probably depend on the circumstances. I mean, I'm not exactly a life giving kind of person. If it were a friend of mine that would be a different story, but cat or dog would depend upon the situation...sorry to the cats and dogs I could have saved.

If you ever saw a guy walk up to a little kid and say "come with me" and she said "let me get my mommy" and he said "your mommy said you can come with me" would you do something about it? (ideally the man is kidnapping the girl)

(not to influence an answer, but please don't answer if you'd say no.)

Haha....well, you know :p ...I don't really know if I would be able to hold anyone in the same view again if they said no, so I just figured that I would save them the trouble of having to admit that...if they would...

I would help the kid. Oh dear lord, my conscience would kill me if I didn't do anything.

I pass the question down....

I would go to the person if I noticed of that and interrupt and to get out of him if there is any relation with the girl by asking questions to the girl and him. If I find he is don't have any relation with the girl or the girl know of him then I would call the police in that moment through the cel phone. If he run, well, chase time, I think. I won't let someone that is trying things with kids to go free without pay for what he/she do.
