Would you take ear plugs to a concert if you knew you were sitting close to the stage?

mono
09-19-2009, 11:27 AM
If I anticipated the concert to be that loud, yes, but I never have. Out of all of the concerts I have attended, the musical bands I have performed in, and the day-to-day sounds of downtown life, my ears have gotten relatively desensitized. Luckily, I can still hear out of my stethoscope well, or so it seems, to detect all sorts of murmurs, rubs, gallops, bruits, rhonchi, and wheezes, but I try to pace myself with excess noise these days; I like having an auditory sense, and would like to preserve it.

mono
09-23-2009, 07:01 PM
It depends on whose funeral, but obviously I must have thought something of him/her for attending a funeral; if I would feel sad enough to cry, sure, I would cry. Such emotions exist for a reason, and suppressing a few tears at such an appropriate place as a funeral, to me, seems like hiding a smile at a wedding.
