Would you sue your sibling(s) over a monetary issue?
lilimarlene
07-03-2013, 06:23 PM
(I'm not naïve, but I don't understand what there is to promote here on a forum. Maybe it's because some people don't get the attention they want in the real world and try to get it here, on the internet, by pretending to be something they are not. It's silly really, why should you care what people you don't even know think about you)
I can't imagine being in that situation with my brother.

Would you cheat on your spouse/signifcant other if you knew you would never get caught?
LiraelG
07-16-2013, 03:15 PM
Never.
In my view, there is no point being in a relationship if you are going to cheat... Relationships should be based on trust, love, tolerance and loyalty. If you're disatisfied and feel a need to be with someone else, you should strongly consider whether the relationship is right anymore. Ideally, you should address the issue/s with your partner and should discuss how best to work through them together. :) Most will long for another person...but cheating involves acting on your feelings, and actions like that cannot be forgiven. :/
Of course, some prefer open relationships, which is fine as long as their partner is genuinely fine with it.

Would you consider buying a handgun for security (not sport)?
Hawkman
07-19-2013, 11:34 AM
Well in this country you can't buy a handgun for either purpose, although you can buy black powder six shooters like replica Navy Colts. These don't seem to be considered dangerous. I used to love shooting when I was in the service and was rather proficient with a Browning Hi-power and an SMG, as well as being a full-bore and small-bore marksman. My eyes aren't up to long-range rifle shooting these days, but I'm quite handy with s shotgun.
However, back to the question. Security? No. Not unless I was living somewhere very dangerous.
If you were a striking miner, would you drop breeze blocks off motorway bridges onto the cars of scabs?
tonywalt
07-19-2013, 12:02 PM
I used to be a miner before I got into financial services and I really missed those folks in West Virginia and Tennessee, solid as Oak as they didn't have much book knowledge. If it were not for the peeping tom problems in that region and my bootleg whiskey operations running into legal difficulties (Damn you Jack Daniels!), I might still be there.
Sometimes when I'm changing channels I see NASCAR racing and I think back to Dennys and other fine establishments and sob quietly into my Dry Shaken Grey Goose Vodka Martini. I enjoyed mining though - some days when it was acid raining we (that is me, Bubba Bob and Billy Dilly) would gaze out at the strip mined mountains glowing with carcinogenic compounds and toxic heavy metals and dream of big FRAKING (Hydraulic fracturing) contracts in the clean blue Rocky Mountains, but back to the question:
I would never strike as a miner, because loyalty to the company is paramount for me and being a Yes Man is also deep in my DNA, but I might consider dropping Water Balloons onto cars.
Would you say mean things to a scab when through the strike lines? Would you make him or her cry?

Well, I was a bit young at the time, but I do remember them. I think on the whole, probably not. I mean, I wouldn't have gone into Vietnam in the first place, but one shouldn't undermine one's troops and vilify them when they come home. Definitely bad form. Anyway, it wasn't their fault, most of them were drafted and didn't want to be there. As for Paris 1968: at the time I didn't really know what it was about, but subsequently, provided the history books are right and it was part of a communist/socialist plot to overthrow the government, then definitely not. now where did I leave my hood and lynch mob ;) Can't go around supporting pinko-commie-fag-subversives... :out::reddevil::rofl:

Robin Hood because he just seems like he has more fun and his moral code is a little "looser". I just recently switched jobs. I went from the safety department to operations, while I really liked safety it's a relief in a way not to always have to be on my game, know what I mean?

I'm not overly keen on cities wherever they are, though if one wants some culture one is more likely to find it in a city than the countryside. I'm rather fond of Paris, and Pietermaritzburg has a sort of crumbling faded gentility which is quite attractive. Santiago de Compostella was rather pretty the last time I saw it, but the trains aren't reliable. I'd love to see Berlin and Vienna, but I certainly wouldn't want to live in Berlin. I think I'll go with Paris.
