Nope, would have trouble staying awake.

Would you donate an organ to a strange if need be?

balehead
10-09-2009, 10:08 PM
no. My organs are my organs ... even after death.

Would you blow up the whole of any continent of your choice for endless amounts of money???

Maryd.
10-09-2009, 10:12 PM
No, in the words of Michael Jackson... "I think I told you I'm a love not a fighter." I have trouble killing annoying flies. Wouldn't hurt a soul for endless money.

Would you claim a valuable prize if it was delivered to you by mistake.

balehead
10-09-2009, 10:15 PM
If i could get away with it

Would you steal drugs from a pharmacy if there was no other way to save your best friend's life?

Maryd.
10-09-2009, 10:41 PM
Yes. Life is more important than going to jail.

Same question.

Virgil
10-09-2009, 10:45 PM
Of course. The moral imperative would be to do that.

Would you sing in front of your spouse if they hated it and told you not to do that? :D

Maryd.
10-09-2009, 10:46 PM
No.

Would you leave a five year old child in the car alone whilst running into the shop for 2 minutes?

Maryd.
10-09-2009, 10:48 PM
Of course. The moral imperative would be to do that.

Would you sing in front of your spouse if they hated it and told you not to do that? :D

Sorry we crossed posts.

Yes.

Would you leave a five year old child in the car alone whilst running into the shop for 2 minutes?

mono
10-09-2009, 11:03 PM
No, what can occur in a vehicle in two minutes and what can happen in a shop in two minutes astound me, and have surprised me in the past. For the safety of the child and the vehicle, certainly not.

Would you not secure your seatbelt if you planned to drive/ride for only a short distance?

Maryd.
10-09-2009, 11:05 PM
Yes. An accident can happen anytime, anywhere, anyhow.

Would you sleep with the front door open, just to let paint dry?

Virgil
10-09-2009, 11:08 PM
 Why not just leave the windows open? So no.

Would learn a compltely different language just for a single trip, one that was hard to learn and you would have no other use for after that trip?

Maryd.
10-09-2009, 11:11 PM
No. I could learn just the basics.

Same question.

papayahed
10-10-2009, 09:00 AM
No, but if I knew I could possibly use it later on, say to converse with someone at home, for some reason I might try to learn it.

Would you scale Mt. Everest?

Maryd.
10-10-2009, 09:29 AM
Sure, I've got nothing else better to do. Might wait until morning though... Scared of the dark.

Would you walk alone in the dark?

balehead
10-11-2009, 09:28 PM
Depends where I was walking. Most places, yes.

Would you post a hundred :flare:'s as separate posts (at the risk of getting kicked off LitNet) to earn $1,0000???

mono
10-11-2009, 10:00 PM
I can hardly think of a logical reason as to why, so likely not.

At a concert, would you more likely try to crowd up towards the stage to get close to the performers, or sit and lounge in the back of the performance hall?

papayahed
10-11-2009, 10:03 PM
hahaha, I'm my younger days I was a notorious crowder (not to be confused with chowder) but now I'd be more apt to lounge in back.

Would you spend the night at a concert venue to be the first in line to get tickets (if they were not being sold on the internet)?

mono
10-11-2009, 10:05 PM
I have a few times, and would do it again for the right kind of performers.

What musician would you most like to "meet & greet"?

balehead
10-11-2009, 11:16 PM
That's not exactly a "would you"

papayahed
10-11-2009, 11:28 PM
Tom Morello and Jimmy Buffett

If you were a tree what would you want to be made into when you were chopped down?

Would you be able to climb the building you are in, unassisted?

Maryd.
10-12-2009, 12:15 AM
Yes.

Would you learn to dance to impress your partner?

mono
10-12-2009, 12:32 AM
Maybe if it meant that much to the individual, then sure, but only for a type of music I enjoyed, too - no use in learning how to polka dance if I have no affinity for that genre of music, for example.

Would you consider yourself a good dancer?

Silas Thorne
10-12-2009, 01:06 AM
Yes, but whether anyone else would consider me so is another matter... ;)

Would you prefer to eat oranges or grapefruits?

Maryd.
10-12-2009, 01:18 AM
Oranges.

Would you risk your life to save a stranger?

mono
10-12-2009, 02:03 AM
Personally, I believe in self-preservation before sacrifice, but it depends upon how great a risk this saving of a stranger involves. I lack the physical strength to hoist the average-sized adult atop my arms or shoulders to carry one out of a burning building, for example, hence placing both myself and the individual in harm's way, making such a risk counter-productive; I see these types of attempted-heros at my work, critically injured, from time to time, who intended well, but ended up created harm upon themselves, whether their courage ended in success or not. To compensate for a lack of superhuman strength, I would certainly do all I could within my physical and mental abilities to save a stranger, likely placing myself at risk, too, even involving others, if possible, but only within relative, reasonable means.

Same question.

Maryd.
10-12-2009, 09:30 AM
Like you Mono, I would try my best. But as I am tiny and frail as well it would be difficult to carry another person to safety without help.

Would you feel comfortable working in a cemetery at night?

The Comedian
10-12-2009, 09:36 AM
Yes, but I would get the spooks every now and then.

Yes :lol::lol::lol::lol:

Would you tear up someone's relationship so you could be friends with one of them?

skib
10-12-2009, 05:27 PM
negatory. If they'll ditch someone for you, they'll ditch you for someone else.

for lack of imagination, same?

Maryd.
10-12-2009, 06:58 PM
Likewise, no I wouldn't. History has a habit of repeating itself.

If you were not religious, would you sit through a religious event and pretend to enjoy it, just to please your partner.

Would you opt in for really good seats to a concert if it involved attending alone, or would you rather go for mediocre seats with a friend?

*Classic*Charm*
10-15-2009, 12:05 AM
Mediocre seats with a friend. Always better to share the experience!! Though general admission is always preferable :D

Would you let someone shorter than yourself stand in front of you at a concert if it meant you couldn't see as well, but they could see at all?

mono
10-15-2009, 12:14 AM
Yes, of course, just out of friendliness; for better or worse, I have never faced that scenario, standing a whopping 5'6'' (168 cm).

Same question.

*Classic*Charm*
10-15-2009, 12:17 AM
Yes, I would. (I haven't either Mono, as I'm only 5'7, though I have had someone much larger than myself deliberately stand in front of me. That was nice )

Would you ask someone to move if they were in front of you and you couldn't see?

mono
10-15-2009, 12:20 AM
Nah, I have found ways of weaving myself between people, much like pencils stacked in a case; luckily, along with standing on the short side, I never grew horizontally too much either, giving me the ability of whittling through crowds. :D

Would you consider yourself healthy?

*Classic*Charm*
10-15-2009, 12:23 AM
HA! No. Not because I don't eat well and take care of myself, just because I have a terrible immune system and can't fight off a common cold.

Would you tell someone if you thought he or she was not healthy? (not in a professional sense ;))

mono
10-15-2009, 12:34 AM
Working in medicine, especially intensive care, you do it a lot, but find gentle ways of stating such harsh facts, as well as assisting him/her to maximized state of health, recovery, cure, treatment, alleviation, etc.
In a non-professional sense, as you asked, sure, I would still tell someone, such as family members, friends, etc. Personally, I would not consider myself the greatest model of good health - I do well at exercising frequently, eating relatively well, etc., but my sleep schedules look like a mess, I drink a lot of coffee daily, and have yet to discover an individual who appeared 100% entirely mentally and emotionally stable.

Would you ever travel to a country that your country currently battled a war with, just ot visit?

Maryd.

No, probably not. I have children and must think about their safety.

Would you cook a meal for a stranger?

skib
10-15-2009, 01:06 AM
Maybe a bowl of cereal. Or depending on why they're in my house. I'm obviously not going to say 'Hey, you want some Lucky Charms?' if I have no idea how they're in my house.

Would you serve cereal at a fancy dinner just to see peoples' reactions?

Maryd.
10-15-2009, 01:09 AM
No, dear, am very padantic about fancy dinners, only the best will do. I would at a casual get together though!:)

Would you read a bedtime story to a toddler who didn't like books or reading?

skib
10-15-2009, 01:15 AM
Probly not. I'm not great at time management, but I wouldn't push that matter if it meant I might get to bed early.

Maryd.
10-15-2009, 01:19 AM

Would you read a book your friends bragged about, even if you didn't like the genre?

skib
10-15-2009, 01:22 AM
Naw, I'm hard to convince. I might start it, but I can't make myself read something I'm not interested in. Unless I happen to be in an adventurous mood!

Same question with movies?

Maryd.
10-15-2009, 02:06 AM
I remember going to the cinema with a friend and she insisted we watch a movie, with some sad and soppy moral... Can't for the life of me remember what it was called. I only remember having one of the best afternoon naps ever. I slept through the whole thing. Needless to say she never invited me to the cinema with here again.

Would you let your dog lap up the remaining milk from your cereal?

Maryd.
10-15-2009, 11:13 PM
Firstly don't have cereal anymore. Secondly cereal is filled with rubbish and isn't really good for dogs. Thirdly milk in general, isn't really good for them after they reach the solid food stage. (I don't know that's what a vet told me anyway.)

Would you sleep with a pet.

Virgil
10-15-2009, 11:25 PM
