I have had to do this more than a few times, and it often did not appear an unexpensive item, such as the Microsoft Office software. :blush: I normally do not give up without a "fight," so to speak; I will turn my apartment upsidedown before I have to re-purchase anything, including some things as simple as batteries or lint rollers.

(On the santa thing. I teach my kids that there is a santa and I'm very honest about it. When they are old enough to ask questions about it We select a needy child in their school and we get them christmas gifts. The thing is it must be kept a secred where the gifts come from and my kids can't tell anyone, not even their best friends. There is a magic that comes with being santa.)

No, not really. I don't think it's the criminals that make the world a bad place. I think it's the gossips and the troublemakers, and the people who do bad things, but bad things for which they aren't arrested and jailed.

I would like to consider myself a good samaritan, and offer any assistance when I can - sure, for someone stuck in a ditch or snow, with a flat tire, someone tripping on the sidewalk, falling off their bike - anything. I love helping people, explaining my career.
