Shalot
10-18-2007, 10:23 PM
It all depends on the circumstances. I mean, are they crusty looking folk? Does the chef have dirty fingernails? Did they invite me to eat their hotdogs? Do they have ketchup? Am I starving?

would you force yourself to read a book just to say you did? Perhaps one of those literary classics that bores you to tears, but you simply must read it because it's supposed to be so good.

Same question. (I'm tired of thinking questions, y'know)

Oniw17
10-19-2007, 02:06 AM
I'd get a drink. I don't like movies all that much anyway.

Would you stab yourself once a year if you got $100,000 each time you survived?

packersfan
10-19-2007, 09:39 AM
No, I can't stand tourture.

would you pretend like you didn't know someone you had embarrassed yourself in front of that person?

Oniw17
10-20-2007, 11:23 PM
Na.

Would you pretend like you didn't know someone just because you don't like them?

Shalot
10-20-2007, 11:32 PM
it depends on the reason. For instance, if I don't like someone because they treated me badly, i could react in a number of ways. if I didn't like someone because they simply got on my nerves or because they/we just didn't mesh well, I would probably be friendly but I wouldn't accept a lunch invitation.

would you watch a movie just because an actor you liked was in it (despite the fact that the type of story or movie didn't really appeal to you)

Pendragon
10-21-2007, 11:53 AM
A best friend doesn't hurt you.

Would you somehow get justice for someone when you knew a party was guilty beyond any doubt and that you had no hope of ever proving it in a court of law?

Same q...

Oniw17
10-25-2007, 05:55 AM
I am right now.

Would you go looting if you could get away with it?

ahsiam
10-25-2007, 05:59 AM
i think yes.:D

would you care to dance if a stranger asks you to dance?

RoCKiTcZa
10-25-2007, 06:05 AM
I guess not. Here, suspicion always clouds our heads when it comes to the topic of strangers. It isn't something you choose to fill your mind with--it's something you were born with, kind of by instinct.

Would you go on loving a person even though he/she feels aggressive towards you?

Oniw17

toni
10-25-2007, 08:18 PM
of course not :) she might be busy with something. and someone once told me not to feel obliged to reply to PMs

would you feel bad if i dont reply to ur PM? :p

Shalot
10-25-2007, 09:09 PM
I wouldn't feel bad. I have received PMs that I haven't replied to. Then there are those PMs I replied to that I shouldn't have.

I've not replied to some PMs and there wasn't any particular reason - it was just that there wasn't anything left to say.

Would you type a meaningless empty PM just because you felt you should? Would you go through a series of "thanks" and then "no thank you" PMs just because both parties felt obliged to respond to each and every PM?

HoOkEdOnReAdInG

Oniw17
10-26-2007, 03:04 AM

Would you quit a forum if the moderation had been slowing banning or driving away all the members who are even remotely interesting over the past 6 months?

Hmm, let me think... yeah, I will love you.

Would you hate me or love me? :D

Not at all.

Litnet?:eek2:

No

barbara0207
10-26-2007, 07:52 PM
Certainly not. I'm too honest by nature to cheat people out of their money - and in my opinion that's what most cults are all about.

Same q

Oniw17
10-26-2007, 09:19 PM
Certainly not. I'm too honest by nature to cheat people out of their money - and in my opinion that's what most cults are all about.
But a cult isn't by definition about cheating people out of their money or even brainwashing them(they're about a strict devotion to something. If we took Socrates' approach, we could say that those cults that do try to scam people or brainwash them for political objectives are merely imitatorsof the true cult. And of course I would, if I had the means.

If you were to start a cult, what principals woud it be based on?

kiz_paws
10-27-2007, 03:09 AM
T'would be based on the mutual admiration for the canine variety of living creatures... :)

Would you clean a very dusty old house (with nothing to see but dust all over the place) with your hands and only your hands?

Shalot
10-29-2007, 06:06 AM
I don't think I could unless I had a few Glad dusting wipes to put on my hands. Otherwise I would just be spreading the dust around instead of removing it so I don't think I would attempt.

AimusSage
11-01-2007, 04:07 PM
Yes, since I belief that all relationships are doomed from the beginning, that's what makes them so fascinating to begin with.

See how long you can make it last is the worst thing you can do though, if you loose interest or for whatever reason, want out, it's better to stop, rather than try to drag it on forever, the latter is far more damaging to both people involved.

Would you take a trip with bob to outer space and enjoy the formation of new galaxies?

Chava
11-01-2007, 04:08 PM
I don't have time! But I would if i could (Who's bob?)

Would you crash at a stranger's house after a party?

AimusSage
11-01-2007, 04:21 PM
Sure, I just have to hope it doesn't end up being a weirdo or something.
I still prefer my own bed though.
(read my blog if you want to know bob ;))

Would you fly and see the wonders of the world allways wondering what else is out there, or stay on the ground, and be happy with what you have?

(wait, that's the same question as the last one, only phrased differently)

Would you listen to a homeless man's poems out on the street?

Chava
11-01-2007, 04:24 PM
I did, and eventually he confessed to having killed his wife last night by accident... It was a little odd to say the least. Even more so when his friends started coming by with condolences.

Would you work double shifts rather than take a loan?

AimusSage
11-01-2007, 04:31 PM
Yes, I will avoid loans at all costs.

Would you start a cult if you thought it could change the world?

Chava
11-01-2007, 04:57 PM
Hmm, cults, not my thing, i suppose i might start a political party or something instead, like "The Humanist party"

Yeah, sure, no problem.

Would you know the difference between a cult and a church?

Chava
11-01-2007, 06:18 PM
Probably not actually...
Would you?

NikolaiI
11-01-2007, 07:29 PM
Hm, it's all rather subjective. I would, tho.

Would advise me for or against getting dreds?

papayahed

Would you expect there to be a pie heaven?

papayahed
11-02-2007, 02:30 PM
Yes, it's wouldn't be called heaven if there was no pie!

Would you go on a reality TV show?

NikolaiI
11-02-2007, 03:13 PM
If it was something like Survivor, yeah, but not some of the others. Well, I mean, perhaps, you know.

Would you let you kid handle a bad situation alone if all you're heard from him the past six months is "I'm 18 now. I'm an adult!" ?

Nope- people aren't good at asking for help... especially when you've just said that you can do whatever you want... so no

Would you spend an entire week working on a lab report... on termites?

Virgil
11-03-2007, 11:40 AM
I guess if I had to for school yes. Actually sounds like fun. Just don't let those littl;e devils escape or you won't have a house left soon. :p

Would you go to school or work if you had a cold but no fever?

samercury
11-03-2007, 11:53 AM

I go even when I have a cold and a fever so, yes

Would you learn how to drive even though the very idea makes you feel sick?

Pendragon
11-03-2007, 01:07 PM
I'm still trying to swallow the "I go even when I have a fever" thing, of course you were in high school then. Learning to drive may not seem essential in Boston, but if you ever leave the city, it's a must! Everyone gets nervous, everyone usually screws up at least once. Don't sweat it.

Would you listen quietly to music you can't stand or leave?

samercury
11-03-2007, 01:28 PM
If it's someone I don't know, then I just leave, if it's someone I know, it's more: "...why are you listening to that song?" and the fun starts

Would you pierce your eyebrow?

BulletproofDork

Would you e-mail someone to tell them to stop sending you FW's or just never reply and hope they get the message? (Note: I don't mind the FW's you guys send me!)

AimusSage
11-04-2007, 12:43 PM
I first tell them to stop, and if they don't I block people that send me annoying forwards.

If you were omnipotent, what would you do?

NikolaiI
11-04-2007, 01:17 PM
I would do a whole lot of nothing for a long time at least. Go everywhere and see everyone. Go visit my friends, and everything, like in China and Australia, just to surprise them, and I'd also go all over the world to see different places. In fact, then I'd wanna see the rest of the universe. So that's what I'd do, I'd go all across the universe; I'd unite the world in peace, and possibly other worlds, too.

Same question, hehe

AimusSage
11-04-2007, 01:27 PM
I get to answer my own question. :)

I would unmake the universe.

Would you be vexed by people trying to insult others?

Oniw17
11-04-2007, 02:27 PM
Not really, it's something that anyone who's ever been around people should come to expect.

Would you search for gold on a shipwrecked boat(in the ocean) illegally?

Would you talk with me if i randomly said hello on a train?

Oniw17
11-04-2007, 02:35 PM
No I would just say hello back to you(assuming that's all you said to me).

Would you highjack a plane as a practical joke?

papayahed
11-04-2007, 05:30 PM
Probably not. Not considering the amount of time I would spend in jail, I 'm thinking I would need to brandish some type of weapon and do a little threatening - which isn't something I have a need or want to do..

If you could open any type of restaurant and have it suceed, what type would you open?

packersfan
11-04-2007, 07:02 PM
sure, chaos is cool
and for the best in the end is the best all the way round

same question, i guess

Zelly
11-04-2007, 07:02 PM
Yes, it's already in chaos. I'd like to think it will come out for the better even now.

Would you give up on someone after just one chance?

Oniw17
11-04-2007, 07:23 PM
Depends on who it is and what the circumstances are. With lots of people(even those close to you), you can try all day everyday to help tham to no avail.

Would you throw away your whole life for the sake of freedom?

packersfan
11-04-2007, 07:30 PM
no
freedom doesn't mean a lot to me
but its probably because ive never lived with out it
and if you threw away your whole life for it, then youd wouldnt get to have it
thats like saying id die for a mansion-you wouldnt get to use it cuz youd be dead

would you throw away your whole life for the sake of your familys freedom??

papayahed
11-04-2007, 07:38 PM
probably not, as you said already they already have it. I'm not sure how much freer I (they) could get.

If possible would you choose to live in a newly formed society on a small pacific island without any outside influences?

packersfan
11-04-2007, 07:42 PM
Probably not- (unless i get paid)
i would be scared they would go all "cultish" on me and I would not like that very much...

Would you live on a small pacific island by yourself (including family) without any outside influence?

Oniw17
11-04-2007, 08:01 PM
Definitely.

Would you start a small pacific island community with a unique legal and economic system?

packersfan
11-04-2007, 08:10 PM
That would be fun---and quite a challenge... I'd love it.
Most people wouldn't do it though. They'd have their own islands, and it would be like their "summer island".
that'd be pretty cool as well

Same Q-I love this question, it opens up new possibilities for the mind.

Shalot
11-05-2007, 10:36 AM
I wouldn't start it but I would probably go there and if things continue they way they are, I may have to start looking for an island like that to go to.

pass the q

NikolaiI
11-11-2007, 06:22 AM
Perhaps! A friend of mine wants to start something like that in Argentina; not on an island, but then have horses and other stuff, then charge people money to come in groups from America...just start it like that and eventually have it become a self-sufficient city. We're worried about the guerillas though...

At the time of your death, how many countries will you have visited?

Pensive
11-11-2007, 06:55 AM
Don't know really as I haven't for my crystal ball with me at the moment (which predicts the future) but probably none.

Same question.

Chava
11-11-2007, 12:17 PM
All of them! (I'm at 25 now, and i'm only 19...)

Cool question, passing it on: "At the time of your death, how many countries will you have visited?"

BulletproofDork
11-11-2007, 12:23 PM
As many as possible, but there is no way to know for sure.

Same question.

BlueSkyGB
11-11-2007, 12:40 PM
As of right now, I've visited around 25 different countries in my life...:)

Same question

NikolaiI
11-11-2007, 12:56 PM
I'm so impressed Chava and BlueSky! That's so wonderful. I've only got 2. My answer is: this isn't a would you question so I won't answer! hehe... no I'd say maybe 10 or 20. Just a guess, I guess.

Same q.

BlueSkyGB
11-12-2007, 08:23 PM
Well I owe it all to my parents...in my youth my father's jobs took us all over the world....in my twenties, I started backpacking across Europe, which notched me a few more countries.... later in life I started taking along my daughter, so now she has the travel bug... she has actually visited a few I have not...

Pretty^Athens
11-12-2007, 08:32 PM
as many as i can.....

at the time of your death, how many people will you have kissed?

Shalot
11-12-2007, 08:34 PM

Virgil
11-12-2007, 10:15 PM
I woud hope not. I'm straight! ;)

Would you allow your dog or cat to sleep in your bed with you?

Shalot
11-12-2007, 10:28 PM
well, I don't really allow it as they sort of demand it. The grossness of it is not lost on me though...(yeah I'm nasty, but I love my pets)

Would eat after your cat?

BulletproofDork
11-12-2007, 10:42 PM

Would you pick up a hitchhiker

Chava
11-14-2007, 02:41 PM

Would you?

NikolaiI
11-14-2007, 02:55 PM
I don't drive.

Would you fight to the death over a sandwich?

AimusSage
11-14-2007, 02:57 PM
No, I'm paranoid and delusional. It would not go well with a hitch-hiker thrown in the mix. Besides, hitch-hikers should probably just walk if they want to get somewhere, safer for them too.

Would you start a comedy group because you think you are funnier than most people?

Pretty^Athens

Would you ask a question, say hi or offer a comment when you see someone you wish to meet?

NikolaiI
11-14-2007, 05:25 PM
It all depends.

Same question (for you, Aimus!)

AimusSage
11-14-2007, 05:31 PM
I will say Hi in a tone that suggests a question while making it appear to be a comment. Then I'll walk away and ignore the world in my own private universe with a bucket load of turnips and a generous amount of superhero comics.

On what would it depend?

NikolaiI
11-14-2007, 05:44 PM
Oh, everything, you know...I don't usually approach women, though. Oh, you didn't say it was a woman, necessarily...well, you know, I'd probably just say hi.

Would you expect America to last another 100 years?

Shalot
11-14-2007, 08:13 PM
no. that could change but so far there is no issue that could really compel me to do ANYTHING. I'm so apathetic that I don't even care anymore. :D
I assess the laws and do what I need to do in my personal life so that they don't become an issue for me. I have no rage, and I am just a rat in the cage. (I'm too tired and beat down for rage)

Would you rather die in a plane crash or go down with a cruise ship?

Pendragon
11-15-2007, 01:38 PM
Well, I never liked the idea of drowning, since I almost did once. I also prefer not to fly. In the 20 odd years that I have lived here, there have been a number of small plane crashes near my place, some on the mountain you see from my front door, which has claimed many planes. But I'll go with the plane, maybe it'll vaporize and be quick.

Super sandwiches!

Would you rather live in a big city or a small town?

packersfan
11-17-2007, 02:20 PM
I rather live in a big city over a small town (no malls, no stores, no chosings of resturants, no bowling alleys!), but I'd rather live in isolation, like in Alaska or something.

Same Q for You!

Dori
11-17-2007, 02:27 PM
Small towns (I live in the country right now). Alaska sounds like a perfect place to live!
