Would you jump off a bridge just because everyone else was jumping?

barbara0207
08-13-2007, 06:42 PM
No longer. But when I was young, I did. Literally. Just because I had to prove that whatever boys can do, girls can do, too.

Same q.

Granny5
08-13-2007, 06:44 PM
About the same answer. I had 6 brothers so I had to keep up.

Would you not eat meat just because your girlfriend/boyfriend was a vegan?

Bakiryu
08-13-2007, 06:46 PM
Well I'm a vegan myself. But If my boyfriend/girlfriend wanted me to eat meat I wouldn't. I hate meat. Except bacon. Which I try to keep away from.

Same q?

barbara0207
08-13-2007, 06:50 PM
No way. I love meat and fish, and I couldn#t live without milk and cheese. But then, a vegan probably could not be my boyfriend because I would never understand the weird ideology behind it. (No offence to the vegans on this forum)

Same q.

Granny5
08-13-2007, 06:53 PM
I would eat what I wanted..they could just watch and drool cause I know they'd want a bite.

Would you go out in the middle of the night, wade into an ice cold river, and wait for hours for a trout to take your lure or fly?

barbara0207
08-13-2007, 07:00 PM
Never. You seem to be into fishing, Granny, but I've never been able to understand what's so fascinating about sitting or standing by a river for hours on end. I'd get bored to death.

Same q.

Granny5
08-13-2007, 07:06 PM
I do it every chance I get. It's the most peaceful place to be. And I catch and release the fish.....well, I would release them if I ever caught one!! It's pretty romantic if you're with someone you love...quiet, with the stars above and talking quietly. It's beautiful.

Would you go out at midnight to take your pregnant daughter a banana popcisle because she wanted one and her husband wouldn't come to town to get her one?

Granny5
08-14-2007, 09:54 AM
I'd ask him out myself. Men like confident women,or so I've been told.

Would you take a trip with your Granny and spend time with old folks you don't really know just to make her happy??

Virgil
08-14-2007, 10:27 AM
Yes, of course. All my grandparents are now passed on, but if one of them wanted me along for something and I could go, sure. What would it hurt once in a while?

Same Q.

kiz_paws
08-14-2007, 12:51 PM
Absolutely because life is about giving. And it isn't possessions that those people would need, it would be companionship and the active art of caring.

Would you ever volunteer to garbage collect in the streets of your city (not an official trash collector, but just a private person with a sack and a pointer stick and lots of determination)?

Neo_Sephiroth
08-14-2007, 01:55 PM

Would you watch nonstop reality TV for 1 week for $1000?

Shurtugal
08-14-2007, 03:53 PM

would you kiss someone one of opposite gender just for to see there facial expresion? (this excludes family members, boyfriends/girlfriends, just someone you know, but aren't that close)

kiz_paws
08-14-2007, 07:34 PM

Shalot
08-14-2007, 10:05 PM
I would probably care. I mean I answered your question about a question you might have asked and that is a start?

Would you stop doing something you like to do if that something you like to do is bad for you?

kiz_paws
08-14-2007, 11:34 PM
Yeah (I quit smoking, so that was a biggie)...

Would you take the news quietly that your baggage got lost on the airlines, or would you go ballistic and not take it that well?

Shalot
08-14-2007, 11:40 PM
It depends on what kind of mood I was in and what had happened to me in the last few hours before I received the news that they lost my bag. If my flight was horrible and the staff was rude and the toilet was disgusting and I had to sit next to some stinky person and I was hungry to boot, then I might be a little more than irate. But if all was right with me at that moment, then I might be a little more understanding

Would you skip work to finish a book you were really into?

Agravis
08-14-2007, 11:43 PM
skip classes, you mean. Oh, no, definitely not. I'd get kicked out that way, or get a deduction from my allowance. But I'd read it during the most boring classes.

Would you tell someone of the opposite gender that his/her nose looked like an ogre's?

Pensive
08-15-2007, 05:55 AM
Nope

Would you make fun of a friend behind her/his back?

aldana
08-15-2007, 05:58 AM
no!!!!!

would you?

Shalot
08-15-2007, 07:38 AM
no, you should make fun of a friend to his/her face. That way it's friendly. And if there is truth to it, then so be it.

Would you be offended if your friend made fun of you?

aldana
08-15-2007, 10:18 AM
yes, if he was being mean....But if he's trying to be constructive in his criticism, no I wouldn't

Would you be offended if somebody in your family made fun of you? Like your parents or siblings?

Pendragon
08-15-2007, 12:31 PM
It cuts like a knife, and I would know, having once suffered a stab wound. But you cannot chose family, and you either let it go or them go. You only have one family...

Would you take an inheritance from a family member who publically had no use for you while they lived?

Bakiryu
08-15-2007, 12:53 PM
Sure, I need the money anyway.

Same Q>

Granny5
08-15-2007, 01:04 PM
Sure would. I'd take money from any of my family if they had any!!

would you sue to get a part of an inheritance if you were left out of the will?

aldana
08-15-2007, 03:08 PM

same question

NikolaiI
08-15-2007, 03:44 PM

Would you give all your things away for no reason?

>M<
08-15-2007, 09:25 PM
No.

Would you rather read a book or give away 10 dollars to some random guy?

sin
08-15-2007, 09:47 PM
okay, so things are slowing down around here lately, so i jacked a game or two from another forum.....

Would You:

sleep with a stranger for $1000.00?

If i wasn't in a relationship and it would be kept quiet...

sin
08-15-2007, 09:50 PM
Never,

Which would you prefer: 40 points added to your IQ or 10 years added to your life?

It would be decided for me in the overall value. If i could become a genius and feel that unique experience of life opossed to living ten more years so i could live long enough to wear diapers again and go to sleep at six, then **** it give me wisdom...

sin
08-15-2007, 09:52 PM
No.

Would you rather read a book or give away 10 dollars to some random guy?

I'd always rather read then give away money, reading is enriching... yet i would rather have less time to read and be able to help someone in need.

sin
08-15-2007, 09:54 PM
40 points to my IQ.

Would you give all your things away for no reason?

I don't believe things are done for no reason, a reason is always evident. For me even if it appeared to be of no reward to give my things away, somehow that would be a reason. Times come that people need to grow and change it is in those times we are reborn disposing of the former self.

sin
08-15-2007, 09:56 PM
no

would you take money to preform an embarrassing act?

I answer with a question. What is embarrassing about making money?

Bakiryu
08-15-2007, 09:56 PM
Ask a question or just answer 1 only 1!

sin
08-15-2007, 09:57 PM
how much?

Would you sell all your books if you learned you were dying?

I'd always pass on whatever i could offer, my contribution is as valid and true as anyone else's.

sin
08-15-2007, 10:03 PM
I might depending on the situation.

Would you paint your face for a sporting event if someone asked nicely?

I would not be opposed to painting my face, that would be fun. I'd certainly be open to nice prompting, but i am of the mind to see new experience versus cumbersome...

Pendragon
08-16-2007, 11:34 AM
Way back up somewhere before Sin went off on a tangent, the question was asked, what is embarassing about making money? The way you make it might be embarassing, illeagal, or downright dog-dirty but untouchable. I begrudge no one any amount of money they make with honesty, but I scorn those who pad their own pockets at the expense of others.

My question is this: One worker will lose his job. However, he can keep that job which he needs if the other workers will agree to a 50 cent an hour pay cut. This will affect only seven people, of whom you are one. Would you take the cut or say good-bye to the worker?

Shurtugal
08-16-2007, 01:27 PM
ouch, that's tuff. i don't got a job, but with any thing that would be painfully hard. i really don't know what i'd do.

same q? (since i can't answer it and it's an awsome one!)

Granny5
08-16-2007, 03:36 PM
Most everyone I work with is hard working good people. 50 cents an hour would be $6 a day for me. I could give up $6 a day. Besides, losing one person on my crew would make much more work for me. All my associates are worth much more than that.

Would you allow a homeles person to live on your property, or even in your home if they had absolutely no where else to stay?

AimusSage
08-16-2007, 03:51 PM

08-16-2007, 06:31 PM

Probably not, I hope to never live in a place that is 6 hours away from my fazvorite stores, as it is I'm already three hours away..

Would you ever consider donating all your books to charity, knowing it will help several small children obtain a basic education??

Shurtugal
08-21-2007, 08:21 PM
most of my books would have no help in education. and truthfully it would be hard to part with them. (i know that sounds evil, cruel and selfish, but i'm not trying to be)

would you?

Bakiryu
08-21-2007, 09:09 PM
No. I would rather fundraise and donate the price of my books in money. I've starved to get those books. They're staying here!

Would you join the army to get away from home?

Shalot

Would you stand in line all night to get concert tickets for your favorite band?

Shalot
08-21-2007, 10:18 PM
it depends on what I had to do the next day and whether I could get out of work, since I am all grown up and have to pay bills - but yeah I would probably find a way to make it work out.

would you quit a job if they changed the uniform and made you wear an embarrassing hat?
Well, if I was on-duty, and everyone else had this silly hat on, no.

If someone (God forbid) murdered someone close to you, could you kill them with your bare hands?
No, I talk big, but could never ever murder.

Would you ever walk two big St.Bernard dogs, one leash in each hand?

Pendragon
08-22-2007, 09:49 AM
I'm strong, but I don't think I could contol two of those guys. About 40 pounds ago when I used to Mountain Bike a bit, a half-grown one lived out the road and I learned quickly to speed past its house or the playful pup would knock me down bike and all.

Do you fear dogs?

Would you get embarressed if your pants fell down in public?

Shalot
08-22-2007, 09:53 PM
YES!!! This happened at a basketball game - not to me but to the other team's coach. He stood up to yell about a call the ref made and his pants fell down. He had on a pair of white underwear. He bent down, pulled his pants back up and sat down and said something else to the ref.

Then I had to shoot a free throw a few minutes later and couldn't concentrate because I wanted to laugh. I totally missed.

Would you pretend like you didn't see it if your friend or someone close to you dropped their pants unitentionally in public?

aldana
08-22-2007, 10:10 PM

would you pretend you didn't see if your friend or someboby speaking to you had something hanging from their nose?

Pendragon
08-23-2007, 11:24 AM
A discrete whisper would be best, I'm thinking. You don’t want them embarrassed by some twit that is going to yell at the top of his or her lungs: “Hey, lookit the booger hanging out of (name of your friend)’s nose! Gross!”

How would you handle the question a small child asks when they have been rumaging around in your things and came out with something embarassing, and holding it high come into the living room where you and your friends are and ask, "What's this?"

kiz_paws

Actually I have done that. Well, not me really, because the person came down to India for treatment and so I could meet him. This person is a member of this forum, but he never actively participated. But, we became friends offline and that's how I met him first and later in person. :D

same question.

Would you abandon your religion or your morals/beliefs to save your family?

Pensive
08-25-2007, 04:12 PM
Yes, most probably. Actually it depends on what belief out of those believes would I have to abandon. There are a few which I think I can't...

Wonderful question so I pass it on to the next person!

NikolaiI
08-25-2007, 05:46 PM
Yes, but what does abandon mean; renounce, or change your mind about? It would be hard to change my mind sincerely about something I thought was true, but then if the question is to abandon my morals in killing someone or something like that, it is a different issue entirely.. I would renounce any of my beliefs to save my family, though. Especially since my beliefs change daily anyway.

Same question, hehe.

Do you leave a tip for a waiter/waitress who has tried to be diligent in serving you (but too many things have gone wrong)?

papayahed
08-28-2007, 08:31 AM
Yes. I went to a restaraunt with a large group of friends, the waitress was new and most of us had special orders. There's always one bad apple and she was quite rude to the waitress, the rest of us were not and were trying to be helpful/nice about it. Most of our orders were screwed up. It was a nightmare. the waitress ended up crying and we ended up giving her a huge tip.

Would you tip a waiter/waitress if they gave you a minimal amount of service?

I am glad that your group tipped that poor girl -- you never really know what is going on in her world (trust me, I worked at a restaurant under very crazy conditions -- cooks fighting in the back, one head-waitress that RULED over the others, workers that didn't pool their efforts and would leave supplies short [e.g. taking the last drop of coffee but not setting up a new pot to drip, etc.] ... so behind the scenes can be at the least, an eye-opener!!

I am always good to servers, no matter what. (plus my food is, um, at their mercy?) (Hmmmm ... this makes me want to blog an entry on the very subject, Papayahed, thanks!) ;)

Would you ever send a tip in the back for the cook?

papayahed
08-28-2007, 08:19 PM

That is, you mean veterinarians right, not Veterans of any other kind? Because then I would not.

Would you switch places with a sewage worker for a day to find out about such a dirty job?

Pendragon
08-31-2007, 09:46 AM
I presently would switch a day with about anyone to have the joy of working again, but just to see how dirty the job was, I think I could just interview the worker at the end of the shift and get a pretty-good picture of how nasty the job really was.

A good question, well wroth passing on: What say you to Aimus' question?

papayahed
08-31-2007, 10:05 AM
I would. I would switch with just about anybody as well just to see what it would be like, there are few exceptions - I couldn't work in a slaughter house, nor could I work at rescuing those humane society animals.

Or I could just watch that TV show - Dirty Jobs.

Same question:

I couldn't work in a slaughter house, nor could I work at rescuing those humane society animals.
I abso-friggin-lutely agree with that sentiment, well said!

To answer Aimus's question, yes, I believe that I would, for there is an old Indian saying that "...you cannot know your brother's life fully until you have walked a mile in his moccasins..." (I love that quote, btw).

You are talking 'bout the big purple dinosaur, right?

Anyway, would you ever dare to stand up to and fight with a lion?

Pendragon
09-07-2007, 02:36 PM
I fear no animal. But I respect them. And I have common sense, as big and stong as I am, the lion is bigger, stronger, faster. You cannot fear the animal or you have lost already, I don't care what you are armed with, gun, knive, or spear. Fear is the enemy, not the animal. Why would I want to kill a lion is the question here. Only the Mountain Lion, the Cougar, is native here, and is supposed extinct. Say I know this to be untrue, that I know proof positive. Why would I wish to kill her to prove my bravery? Rattlesnakes are plentiful here, so if you want to play with death to prove your bravery, go pick one of them up.

Would you hide knowledge of, say proof of a bigfoot, if you knew that they would just kill one to see what they were?
