Summary Chapter 36

Dr. Losberne comments on how quickly Harry changes his mind. Yesterday morning he planned to stay, and now he intends to accompany Dr. Losberne back to London--and to even start before the ladies get up. Dr. Losberne asks if others have produced this anxiety, but Harry denies it.

Harry asks to speak to Oliver privately. He asks Oliver to write him. He wants Oliver to give him details about his mother and Rose. He asks the boy to keep this commission a secret. Oliver agrees, feeling important.

Dr. Losberne and Harry leave. Rose watches them depart from the window.
