Summary Chapter 34

Huck wants to escape out the window, afraid of the crowd downstairs.

Sid comes up and reveals that he overheard Mr. Jones telling Aunt Polly that it was Huck who had been responsible for getting help the night Injun Joe was planning to do his “job.” Tom cuffs Sid, believing he told Huck’s secret.

Mr. Jones reveals that it was Huck who notified him of the robbers. The Widow plans to adopt Huck and help him.

Tom reveals that Huck is rich. Everyone laughs. He brings back the treasure and tells about how they found it. When counted, there is $12,000 cash.
