Hello ladies, long time no see...hope the coffee's still warm! :)Hummmm. Yes. And the ancient herbs ol' Pendragon slipped into the coffee pot should start to take effect before long. Hee-Hee-hee. I wonder what will happen when the gentle sex starts to act rather mannish in behavior? Will Maddie start a coffee chugging contest? Will Scher try to belch the alphabet in French? Will Mir grab a megaphone and start to rap about how she's down on life and men in particular? Will the dainty coffee shop begin to look like a bachelor’s dorm? Hee-Hee-hee. The Dragon slips away into another dimension to await developments!

You know, Pendragon, that some of us don't drink coffee. I personally don't anyway, so your "ancient herbs" will have no effect on me. Now, if you had thought to spike the hot chocolate too...:D .
There's one definate way to keep te guys out of this thread, and that's to discuss the most girly topic ever. .

Madhuri, blue dress with red belt, red bag, and/or red shoes will totally justify the red earrings! :D

Personally, I'm wondering if I'm violating some fashion law right now by wearing a wifebeater and baggy jeans for the 3rd day in a row...

I don't shave it, I let some little Asian lady rip it out by the roots....and then I give her money! :bawling:

The saddest part about this is, I don't do this because I have an aversion to body hair on women.

Thanks Kathy!! The combination is very good, and everything is there -- earrings, belt and shoes. :) I think I can now comfortably wear such a combination.

Is anyone here is fond of mixing and matching accessories and clothes, in the way they dress up? I think it looks good. :) I am particularly fond of a lot of variety in earrings. Well, I cant afford to change my wardrobe every six months, so I buy earrings (of course not the Diamond and Gold ones), but regular ones, in different colours and patterns. The use of earrings can definitely change the look, if you have do not have a huge variety in clothes.

Hi everybody. I haven't posted in the girls only coffee thread so I hope I am welcome. I'll just act like I am and start contributing:

unfortunately I am allergic to anything in my ears except for real gold and silver posts so I just have a few classic pairs of earrings that I switch out now and then, but I wish I could wear more earrings. But, I think that as long as your hair looks good, you can pretty much do anything else. Anyone else with me on this one?

I thought once that I was allergic to everything besides gold, but now I think it's just a nickel allergy, where you can still wear anything without nickel in it. Which is still just about everything :( But some stores have nice, cheap hypoallergenic stuff.

I'm allergic to certain earring metals, too...not that it matters much anymore seeing as I just don't wear earring often lately. I had my ears pierced when I was very young (think 1-year-old screaming in a mall) only to stop wearing earrings at about the age of 12. I'll still wear them occasionally, but only to formal occasions. I actually have pretty much abandoned jewelry, except for my "cruzan bracelet" (http://www.jewelrycrossings.com/store/DC041BRA.html) and maybe a watch, if I remember to put one on...

You see, organized crime sells what they call "protection". The only protection you need is from them, but they skim off your profits to keep them from busting up your place. 25% is a usual deal, with a coffee shop--because they have a lot of customers. I think people get a bigger laugh out of that sneering, tough-talking penguin than any other character I came up with for the forum. Youse gals keep up da chin music, an' I might drop by fer a hot cup o' joe, on da house, capisce?

I'm not allergic to any earings. I can wear gold, silver, cheapo stuff don't really matter. Of course I made my own earing hole when I was 18. Got infected because apparently you have to disinfect the needle.

Once it healed it was fine. Don't wear an earing anymore, except if I am feeling really special.

Oh! Yeah, not a girl. One of the guys. So, where's the coffee? I just came from having a Guiness and a Steak with the guys and I need a good after dinner coffee.

My ears aren't pierced. They never have been. I might like to wear earrings to formal award ceremonies (When I become a world famous writer :D ) But I'm in no hurry to get them done. Surely having someone stick a needle through your ears hurts, doesn't it? And, how do you know the needle is clean? They may say it is, but how do you really know?

Yes it does hurt. If you get it done in a salon (which is always the best choice) they have a "gun" (for lack of a better word) which they load up with an individually wrapped earring stud. They line this up to your earlobe and shoot it through. Sounds fun, doesn't it? A person can walk into a beauty supply store like Sally Beauty and purchase one, but for individual use it seems a waste of money.

I got mine pierced at 16 and then a second set of holes when I was in my late 20's. The woman in the salon got the stud stuck half way through in my left ear....for 20 minutes. When they finally got it out they had to re-pierce it from the back instead of the front, take the stud out and put it so it faced front to back.

I actually joined a friend of mine when he went to get his ear pierced with one of those "guns" at a Claire's. He was worried it was hurt, but he sat down, they punched it, he asked if it was over, they said yes, and he said "Oh, I was such a baby."

It didn't hurt to pierce, but the ear did get sore and he had to keep the earring in and keep spinning it so the hole wouldn't heal with the earring in it...and he said that could give a dull pain sometimes...

 I'm getting mixed responses here. I suppose it all depends on a person's pain threshold. Perhaps an exmple that everyone can refer to.

Is it anything like getting a blood test or injection?
Because, injections I don't mind. I'm not keen on them, but they don't really hrt much

I think you might also want to think about where the piercing is. If it's in the lobe, it won't hurt us much as higher on the ear where the cartilage (sp?) is. Try taking your fingernails and pinching your earlobe if that is where you are thinking of getting pierced, and see how it feels.

I have a couple of tattoos. The tatooing itself (which is a needle puncturing your skin again and again) felt like hard little fingernail pinches...but again with my experience the healing process was what hurt more. It was so SORE!

Earring are very pretty and complimenting though, if you are into looking pretty, lol...so I think it'd be well worth it for you to get piercings if you are interested in it :)

I guess my second time around hurt so much because of them getting the stud stuck in my ear. That is what I remember the most, also because I still have trouble with it. If you don't mind injections then ear piercing probably would not bother you too much.

yeah really.

I read an article in some magazine (I'm thinking Ladies Home Journal or Glamour even) and there was an article about birth control pills. With traditional pills you have 3 weeks of the "real pills" and 1 week of placebo pills and the week when you take the "placebo pills" (I use quotes because I don't know if I'm using the correct term there) is the week that you get your period. But if you get a prescription for pills that have 4 weeks of the "real pills" then you don't have to have a period at all and it's healthy (at least according to the article I read). That would be nice.

I don't get a period. Do you Robin? Hmm, although I've had cramps. Especially when I get hit in the crotch, rather delayed painful cramps. Although, I try to aviod getting hit in that area. In fact it probably has been over two decades that've gotten hit in that area.

Ah, I was wondering when we'd get onto that subject. The girliest topic ever  .
I have mixed feelings about mine. On one hand, it's a real nuisance, but on the other, it's a sign that I'm still functioning. Most women know when they're going to start, but mine seem to enjoy sneaking up on me, sometimes I know, sometimes I don't, and, what's worse is when I predict when they'll start (Using my calendar) it decides to tease me and start the day after the end of my predicted time :flare: It's so frustrating. But, now I think I've figured out a way to make an educated guess as to when it'll happen.
A while ago, I read an article on Yahoo about how to know when a woman is ovulating. I won't go into the details, basically, the woman will dress up slightly prettier, not more fashionably, just prettier, when she's at her most fertile. Like, she'll wear a prettier pair of earrings or a nicer top than usual. It's only subtle changes to how they look. Anyway, If figured that when I feel a bit prettier than usual and decide to try and look a bit prettier, then it's due to happen a couple of weeks after that. I’ve only been able to test it out once though, so far, and I was right. I was expecting it this time :D .

Intriguing, I must say.

And no, Vada, I don't. A fellow fellow, you might say.

Warning to all guys: if your girlfriend starts dressing prettier, fear the fortnight.

Hm.... Yes, they are a drag and mine just hates me... My period comes around 8 in the morning.. when I'm already at school.... And it comes at he most inopportune moments as well, like during a hike, when I'm at camp, when I have a stage performance or something like that. It's easy to avoid cramps though, you just don't eat cold foods... Although everytime I have my monthly visitor I feel like swimming...

kathycf

I have endometriosis (http://www.ivf.com/endoassn.html) (how's that for scaring the fellas! :p ) So I get terrible cramps...even after having surgery for it. Anyway

There are so many euphemisms for a perfectly natural body function and I think it is funny. Some mild ones:

Monthly friend
Monthly visitor
Aunt Flo
Special time

I can think of a few more, but I know there are a lot of forumers still in their teens, so I will act like an adult...(sort of) :p

*edit* Almost a fool proof way to bring on a visit from "Aunt Flo" is to wear white pants and go out for a dinner date with a special someone :D

I Wanna Talk About Me~~Toby Keith

We talk about your work how your boss is a jerk
We talk about your church and your head when it hurts
We talk about the troubles you've been having with your brother
About your daddy and your mother and your crazy ex-lover
We talk about your friends and the places that you've been
We talk about your skin and the dimples on your chin
The polish on your toes and the run in your hose
And God knows we're gonna talk about your clothes
You know talking about you makes me smile
But every once in awhile

I wanna talk about me

We talk about your dreams and we talk about your schemes
your high school team and your moisturizer creme
We talk about your nanna up in Muncie, Indiana
We talk about your grandma down in Alabama
We talk about your guys of every shape and size
The ones that you despise and the ones you idolize
We talk about your heart, about your brains and your smarts
And your medical charts and when you start!
You know talking about you makes me grin
But every now and then

I wanna talk about me

You you you you you you you you youyouyouyouyou
I wanna talk about me

I wanna talk about me
Wanna talk about I
Wanna talk about number one
Oh my me my
What I think, what I like, what I know, what I want, what I see
I like talking about you, usually, but occasionally
I wanna talk about me
I wanna talk about me

I always just call it "my thingy," and the feminine products I call "my thingies," lol. I'm very simplistic and uncreative when it comes to that, I think.

On this I sympathize with you women. When God distributed the biological difficulties of life he did not distribute them equally between men and women; women got the worst end of the deal. But you do get to live longer; women have higher life expectancies than men.

But if you get a prescription for pills that have 4 weeks of the "real pills" then you don't have to have a period at all and it's healthy (at least according to the article I read). That would be nice.

ecept for the higher breast and female cancer risk.

I get the munchies and I only want crunchy food and its all very well but by the time the 2 weeks have passed you/Ive forgotten and it still suprised.

Although everytime I have my monthly visitor I feel like swimming...

really never heard the no cold food theory I know about fruit and veg lots and lots ( and you know what its true!) becuase some months Im doubled up swearing that if there is such a thing as reincarnation I want to be male next time round and some times its all good- well as good as having a perfectly good layer of skin ripped off could be.

never got why people get all embareesed about it although its a bit sad to think of somthing you have carried with you since before you were born dying every month.

Ouch kathy poor you ( talking about the ear but other than that ouch, too)

This is something I care about. I'm not sure if the pill has changed lately, but I have read some startling statistics concerning them and the incidence of cancers. Every girl should know the risks when taking them . . .

Hadn't looked at this thread in awhile. I see we're on to the dreaded period.

There are so many euphemisms for a perfectly natural body function and I think it is funny. Some mild ones:

Monthly friend
Monthly visitor
Aunt Flo
Special time

I can think of a few more, but I know there are a lot of forumers still in their teens, so I will act like an adult...(sort of)

This reminded me of a friend of mine in high school who used to refer to it as "riding the crimson wave." She's an actress, and so she's got a real flare for the dramatic. One day there was an older male teacher who didn't want to let her out of class to use the bathroom and she said in this huge stage voice in front of the whole class "but Mr. So and so, I am riding the crimson wave!" The sad part was that he didn't get it at first, so she spent like five minutes painstakingly explained the euphemism (without ever once just using the word "period") while the whole class just fell over laughing. When the poor teacher finally got what she was talking about his entire bald head turned bright red, which didn't help matters any.

There, have we officially managed to scare the boys away? Once they're gone we can plot the best way for the women to take over this forum.

yes, when it comes to "that time of the month" or "the monthly bill" men are clueless. They act like you're the one that's being an unreasonable witch and they continue to sit on their asses while you're dealing with this pain that starts in your center and shoots down your legs and pulsates through your feet and all the while you're expected to function as usual even though you feel like complete $%#@.

Women are expected to go to work and come home and prepare dinner and iron their husband's shirts (because men would just wear wrinkled shirts to work -- they don't know that you're not supposed to do that). And the moodiness is not pleasant --- we don't like it! I don't think men would be pleasant if they were in pain like that. And I am quite tired of men making PMS/period jokes. :flare:

We have our own pain, mentioned by Vada Dagon earlier, getting hit in the crotch. This story should put a smile on most women's faces and a cringe to the men's.

I was out one night with a college buddy playing pool. He had rarely played before (not to mention he was drunk). I was standing watching the game on the TV when he took his shot. He hit underneath the ball it leapt off the table and hit me square in the nuts :bawling: . Any normal person would show some degree of sympathy. What does he do? Starts singing "Andrew, He's only got three balls" throughout the rest of the night:rolleyes:

I don't really tend to get bad pains. Sometimes I don't even know it's started until I go to the ladies. Thankfully, I only really get an upset stomach and don't feel like eating much, because my stomach is sending confused signals to my brain. I usually have a violent mood swing straight after a kind of "Wow, I look so attractive" sort of mood swing, which I now attribute to the fertility thing I mentioned earlier.
But, as my mother would say
Everyone's different
And it's true. We just need to find our own ways of coping with it.

Oh, and seeing as some people have different names for it, we call it "starting" or "I've started" or, in the run up to it, "I'm due". Not as interesting as the other terms for it, but each to their own.:)

True, but at least it's somewhat avoidable and not a regular thing.

Periods are uncomfortable, somewhat painful, and not something that's very avoidable. Oh, and have you ever thought that it hurts a LOT when girls get hit in the chest? I'm sure not quite as much as a guy getting hit in the crotch, but it's not actually that far.

Well, thing is- men get hurt when they get hit in their crotch.. Women get hurt when their hit in their chest.. They are to some level, sensitive... And guys, just imagine an orage coming out of you crotch area to an unimaginably small opening... That's about the equivalent of girls undergoing childbirth... Yes, we did get the crappy side of anatomy... Just imagine the embarassment of having a red stain through your clothes as compared to having a stain coz you jacked off because of an old bag.... That would be equivalent.. almost....

I mean, it IS normal but guys don't have to be such dicks about it... [ haha ]

On that note, I have a very strong case of PMS everytime my period nears... One time I even choked my classmate out of frustration, other times I'd just be all moody... Then other times I'd be ecstatic adn sooo happy.... Hormonal imbalance paired with reactive insanity = One crazy teenager...

Think about the orage part guys...

Hey girls, it occured to me that there's one thing I haven't seen around this thread that the boys seem to have plenty of (and no, I'm not talking about troughs and urinals, which I'm just as well doing without). They seem to have gotten together kegs of beer and cups of limoncello over there, and I vote that we expand our drink selection here as well. In addition to our already spectacular selection of choice coffee brews we could have a lovely assortment of beers wines and snazzy cocktails. I'll contribute an assortment of my personal favorites including:

A nice dry martini:

http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e386/LeonardoD/martini.jpg

A pint of Guiness:

http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e386/LeonardoD/guinness1.jpg

Some good Scotch (on or off the rocks):

http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e386/LeonardoD/istockphoto_994852_scotch_on_the_ro.jpg

And, of course, the pink drink extrordinaire, the cosmo:

http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e386/LeonardoD/652.png

Any of these should help chase those period cramps away. ;) Non-drinkers or underage members can have a Shirley Temple in a martini glass or a fancy looking tropical drink without the alcohol. Incidently, if the guys are going to persist in hanging around this thread and expect any share of our martinis I think they should be required to resemble James Bond. What do you say to requiring suits or tuxes for any male member who wants to enter this thread? (Ladies can still wear what they like).

Bluebiird, I may be presumptious in writing this, and please forgive me if I am...but those read like the words of someone who has been hurt and is putting up a protective front.

Any evidence I could offer would be only from my own experiences, thus not any sort of scientific proof. I have had some very bad experiences with men, but even so I still believe there truly are many kind and caring men out there. I am even lucky enough to call some of them "friend". I really also must point out that women are not the perfect sex either ( I can think of some women I really dislike, for things that have happened in my past.) Both sexes have their flaws and I don't think it is right to generalize that all people of a particular group are a certain way.

I think it boils down to what all of us share...our humanity. I can be pretty cynical about human nature myself, but somehow I try to see what is good about most people. I may not always succeed in this endeavor, but oh well. Sadly there are many ignorant, cruel and just plain nasty people in the world (male and female) but there are also many wonderul people in the world too (male and female). What can you hold onto, if you dont hold onto your dreams.
My experiences have made me stronger, wiser and a great deal more mature.
They have an awesome word for my experiences its called...
LIFE.
So heres to Love, humanity, forgiveness and silly optimistic saps all over the world.

You guys are right. I know that. But I was in a rather bad mood. I have a lot of feelings that I have to keep in, for now that are starting to drive me crazy. However, should any of you wish to find out what they are, I'm thinking of starting a blog at the start of December. (I'd start one right away, but I'd rather have some kind of small event to mark it, and the start of a new month sounds good to me. Really it would be better next year, but I have a problem with something that is going to happen over Christmas, so the start of the month will have to do)

Blogging is good, poetry is good, short stories are good...the only way I got through angry/sad times was by finding some way to write, even if it was writing that was worthless to others it was worth the world to me just to get my feelings expressed. Go for it! :D

May I please have a scotch on the rocks? I've been a drinker since I was 12, mostly for the "life sucks and hates me" part... I've never been really drunk and I actually want to know what I am when I'm drunk... I don't drink tequilla though... That one's acid for your liver... To fashion, friends, boys who care and make-up... Cheers!

I have to agree about the blogging. After I got to know some people from a couple of Dungeon Siege sites (yes, a videogame) through interacting on the sites (lots non- game related things to talk about) and also from their IRC (internet relay chat) channel, I started a blog at one of the sites I am a member of. I have posted about some things that trouble me, and it does help to get it out. Oddly enough, there are some things I am able to reveal about myself online that I am reluctant to do in my day to day life.

Ozeed, I got married very young as well and after 12 years got divorced. Actually one of the good men I was thinking of was my ex, weird as that sounds. He is a very decent person and was sweet. He broke my heart and I hated him for awhile but I got over it...eventually.

Anyway, on to the less serious matters at hand. I think there was a request for cookies? :D I found this site randomly, but was instantly captivated by their motto.

Life is short. Eat cookies

Well said! :D That goes for me too! (well, I go for boys over the age of like 30, but who cares)

(shini, I don't wish this to sound condescending or mean, but drinking that young is really not good for your health. Sorry, don't mean to lecture but I just wanted to say that)

I used to write stories and poetry all of the time (Though it was never any good :) ) But I just stopped for some reason.
I've had an idea. I was planning on writing my friend a story for Christmas, but I cut it short because it was a crummy story. Now, I am planning a new one for him, with a hidden message. Hehehe. And, it's written in code, so that only I can read it. Then I'll type it up propperly at home (It's in code so that no one in my school can read it if they get it)
Now, instead of drink, let us drown our sorrows with chocolate, sugar and fizzy drinks full of additives :D

Oh my, but those look delicious! (~grabs one, looks side to side quickly, grabs another~)

Now, I do not believe in dieting, but that is not to say that one should let oneself get so large as to not be able to enjoy life to its fullest! Instead of dieting, I propose women and men should simply eat healthy portions of foods and partake in romantic walks on the beach (for couples) or regular nights of dancing (for singles). If neither of those suits you you can try many other fun activities like bike riding, or walking on a treadmill in front of the TV (my mother's favorite), or even taking salsa lessons or some fun aerobics class! :D

I'm not really a health nut, I just spent last semester watching what I ate and doing regular excercise, and let me tell you, it felt SO GOOD. I would wake up before my alarm and feel GREAT, and I was so much happier, I didn't really lose much weight but a lot of people were telling me that "I looked different" and asked me if I had been working out. It was a wonderful feeling. This semester I haven't been doing so great, and once again it is a struggle to get out of bed, and, well, at least my boyfriend still thinks I'm beautiful!

Great! I'm blushing!

Someone mention tequila? I used to love the stuff. But it never drowns your problems; they are still there when you finally come back around. And it is bad for your liver, and health in general. My dad, the alcoholic, nearly destroyed his liver with drinking. He'd get dried out, the liver is an organ that will regenerate itself, and he'd get better, and then start the cycle over. He died about four years back of lung cancer (he smoked about four packs a day), and aneurisms on the brain.

If you don't start a bad habit, you never have to quit! Anyone that says quitting is easy, probably never had the habit to any extreme degree. Quitting smoking took me a long time. My pipe is just for show, I never have lit them, and the meerschaums are still pure white.

(Ladies can still wear what they like).

unlike you boys we stick to things, wer not FICKLE! THEREFORE......when we say 'ANYONE FOR COFEE?' we mean coffee! Since its only girls theres no need to get each other drunk, make lame jokes and hit on them hoping their too drunk to notice the eye patch over a missing eye!
* a lour roar: hear hear! *

But after the day iv had......im game! But rather than tainting this thread il go and get drunk at the boys thread. I know girls, no need to warn me, not a wise decision at all. I refuse to see why you can't just buy yourself cartoon band-aids and dinosaur tater tots in your adult years. In fact, adults have the advantage of being able to purchase dinosaur tater tots and eat them every night of the week if they so desire. Of course, you may be considered socially odd but that's another issue... Recess after lunch might be harder to arrange unless you're the boss at your office.

However I must confess that during gimmicks I tend to lose my mind and start challenging men to drinking contests... I've won most of them.. other times I stop coz the guy gets um.. icky and lewd... oh well...

Dear me, have I opened Pandora's box around here? I certainly don't want to tempt anyone to get terribly drunk on those lovely cocktails I introduced earlier on the thread. My personal style is the occassional fun drink at a party. I've only been drunk once in my life (which I think was partly the fault of the guy who told me a Long Island Icetea is a mild drink--don't buy that one girls) and never again. But here's our Opti heading off to hedonism on the boys' thread! So I propose we move on to another type of potential overindulgence. We've had a few cookies, but I think it's time to get into some serious chocolate discussion. Grab, your coffee, your fruitpunch or your (one) cocktail, and dig in:

The traditional assortment:

What Kind of Chocolate Are You? (http://ynr.blogthings.com/whatkindofchocolateareyouquiz/)

You are White Chocolate

http://images.yournewromance.com/whatkindofchocolateareyouquiz/white-chocolate.jpg

You have a strong feminine side with a good bit of innocence thrown in.
Whether your girlish ways are an act or not, men like to take care of you.

If you are the sort of man who thinks good looks, a winning smile and extravagant presents are the way to a woman's heart then think again.

It seems that the contents of your wallet are the key to attracting the fairer sex.

Today's modern woman favours a prudent partner over a Romeo who wastes his cash on lavish gifts, a poll shows.

Almost two-thirds of females surveyed by the Yorkshire Building Society said their ideal partner would be debt free and have an eye for a bargain.

They also favoured inexpensive but thoughtful gifts rather than overblown gestures.

Yorkshire Building Society spokeswoman Tanya Jackson said: "It seems money really can buy you love as today's singles search for a saving-smart superhero to settle down with."

Being good looking probably doesn't do any harm though!http://news.sky.com/skynews/article/0,,91059-13552274,00.html

And incidentally... You're not a big drinker, and when you do drink, you go for the best.
You probably know a good deal about wines, and you know how to order a great bottle.
When you drink too much, you tend to flirt - but only in a subtle, understated way.
You prefer to date a man who's worldly and wise. He's got to be as sophisticated as you are.

A story-teller, dreamer and honest person, Blue-Aura people are almost always ‘staring in space’. Though it seems this way, Blue-Aura people are just thinking. They think a lot, which makes you guys great philosphers. You’re also a good story-teller. You have a close-knit group of friends, and like to keep it that way. Sometimes you can be stubborn and rebellious, always wanting everything your way. You see, your dreamland that you go into is the way you picture the world. Or the way it should be. You seek for peace and a better place. People see you as a day-dreaming sweetheart, or a lazy person with blunt opinions! Famous Blue-Aura: Ron Weasley (from Harry Potter)Most Compatible With: Purple-Aura, Green-AuraLeast Compatible With: Red-AuraQuote:“Great minds think alike.” --??? At Your Best: Telling stories, thoughtful and givingAt Your Worst: Rebellious, very-very stubborn and lazy

Oscar winner George Clooney has been named the "sexiest man alive" by US magazine People. Clooney, 45, beat a host of Hollywood rivals including Johnny Depp, Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio.

Patrick Dempsey, star of medical drama Grey's Anatomy, came second, with fellow actor Ashton Kutcher third.

It is the second time Clooney has won the award - the first was in 1997. The actor joked that fellow two-time winner Brad Pitt "was going to be upset".

The pair, who are friends, recently completed shooting film sequel Ocean's Thirteen.

10 SEXIEST MEN ALIVE
1. George Clooney
2. Patrick Dempsey
3. Ashton Kutcher
4. Taye Diggs
5. Johnny Depp
6. Josh Duhamel
7. Enrique Murciano
8. Leonardo DiCaprio
9. John Krasinski
10. Jake Gyllenhaal

Clooney won the best supporting actor Academy Award for his role as a CIA agent in Syriana earlier this year.

"His big movies came out at the end of last year, he has been active in the campaign to help people in Darfur, obviously he's great looking," People magazine's Cynthia Sanz, a member of the selection panel, told Reuters.

"We just thought he was the total package this year."

"It's a little more fun when the sexiest man alive is available," she added, referring to the actor's single status.

Others in the top 10 included Jake Gyllenhaal and Without A Trace star Enrique Murciano. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/6154940.stm

Strangely enough, even I think that list has made some glaring mistakes. What the heck are Leonardo DiCaprio and Ashton Kutcher doing on there??? Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart are both vastly more talented.

And if anyone here watches Smallville, you'll understand why I'm a strong advocate for getting Justin Hartley his own Green Arrow spinoff. The man's getting shortchanged!

Deep, understanding, and mature, you’re an extremely loyal person. You’re kind and helpful to the people close to you. People see you as a person who’s ready to branch out and understand and truly help a person, but also a closed-up bud. When it comes to your own feelings, you’re a little shy about expressing them. If you try your very best to open up…I guarentee you that the results will be shocking, beautiful, gorgeous and utterly astonishing. You seek for fairness and love, and even if your aura is green, you’re not as jealous as you look!

http://i108.photobucket.com/albums/n25/Shalot_bucket/HurtAnime055.jpg

You are a hurt person. You are not shy you just dont like people anymore. The world has hurt and maybe for some reason doesnt like you. You dislike humans you're very smart and know alot more than most. You used to have many friends, but ever since you were hurt,in which ever way you were, you have disliked humans in every way.But you still have some of your old friends and are making new ones but you still enjoy your own company and like the one guy in class. You love to plant things and make things grow. The guy in class may like you back and your friends will help you!

You are a happy person. Maybe a prep. I dont know but what i do know is that you love to be in the spotlight and have all the attention. You have many friends, and you love the day time because thats when you can best show off your stuff! You also love dances. You wish to find the perfect guy but you're so picky no one seems right after a while. But you will find someone some day! ;)

I'm a happy person too, Madhuri, perhaps we could dance in the spotlight together.

I laughed out loud when I read the quotation, "if you cry, i cry. If you laugh, i laugh.,, If you fall from the bridge, i laugh harder!!!"

What beauty treatment are you referring to, Maddie? I would dearly love a pedicure myself. I also haven't had a haircut in 2 1/2 years...

Hmmm..I got that, not me, that's for sure. I may be a Thespian, but I am terrified of big roles, have three specific friends, and have no stuff to show off..also, I am not single and have found the perfect guy 6 mos after my last break up.

Hm...I got this but it's sooo nooooot meee...I'm not a leader in any way.

You are a leader type person. You are always in control. You are the leader of projects and your group. Deep down you may just have some evil thing going on urging you to try and take over the world!! That would so rock!

I LOVE this pic:

YAAAAAAAAY I'M PURPLE! (my obsessive favourite colour in case someone still doesn't know, but since I haven't been too active I'd better remind it :D)

You are an activist, thinker, scientist and a true friend of humanity. You’re hard-working if you put your mind to it, and extremely loyal. People see you as a person with opinions that will probably benefit the world a lot! Though you can be weird, have mood-swings, and sometimes be ignorant, you seek for truth and justice. As a thinker, you’re a little slow, but beyond that, you seem to have wisdom beyond you age. Whether that wisdom is with people, economics, chemistry, literature or math, you’re pretty much a expert. You love the world, and the people in it, though you’re not as nave as you look. how did you all get piccys??
anyways:

You are a dark person. Either you're depressed, goth, emo.. Dunno, but you're dark. You read and write sad stories or poems. You like being alone and in the dark so you like the night more than day. You HATE preps (me too) and you wish that you could fly or at least see spirits or ghosts. That would be awesome wouldn't it? The twilight is your favourite time or just being under the stars when they're shining bright. You will find the perfect guy and you will be together for a LONG time if not, forever :D
You love nature and animals (i forgot to add that in!!!) Oh, and you may just be evil... like me!! *whispers* muahahaha.

Random Observations:

So Night is really an Emo kid, eh? :p (just kidding, BTW you get the pictures by copying and pasting the BBcode option. :) )

Robin is proud of his flashing image, while Ozeed wishes to make amends for it with a nice looking cup of tea.

Koa is a Purple.

Schokokeks considers herself an easy catch, but she needs to bring by a batch of cookies to fully qualify that in my mind. :)

*taps foot, looks at watch and waits for cookies* :D

Hi Koa !!

You know, it's definetely time that you start a thread and tell us how you are liking your graduate study, the place, the uni, the people and so on !
Or probably you've done this already, but I missed it :(. Anyway, hope you're fine ! ;)

By Jove, Holmes, it appears to be a lovely sort of coffee shop, what? Sorry. I shaved my beard and just have the mustache, and my kids think I look like Doctor Watson, rotten beggers! But I'll have a spot of Earl Grey, if you don't mind, and Cookie (hope you don't mind the nickname, Schokokeks, m'dear!), would you pass that tray of tempting biscuts? Jolly nice day, is it not? :)
