The point being, they are dry as hell, but you're hungry, so you nibble, daintily at first, but then you enjoy their blandly corn taste, and really began shoveling them on, looking around, hoping nobody sees you being totally anti-Emily Post.

Um, it was a solo/ensemble contest, so my two friends and I performed for a judge. We didn't have the score, which was bad, and there were a few rough spots, but I think we did moderately well. All of the band, orchestra, and choir students at my school were competing against the other schools in our area, and you "win" by having the most students with the highest rankings, since it isn't really head-to-head. More later, maybe.

Granted, you do find your books, but you lose the hill.
