Thank you! http://smilies-gifs.com/saludar/6saludar.gif
I'll be back in a while with a new scene from my collection of... scenes :p

It's from Finding Neverland, if I'm not mistaken.
Sorry I got a bit late.
Definitely I think Max is correct. Go Max!
Thanks for responding Janine, and it's good to see you back.

Hi Snowqueen, I don't think I know this one anyway, but I do wish you wouldn't crop the frame, as by doing so you deprive us of the mis-en-scene. It's like being shown a close up of Bogart in a hat and trenchcoat, smoking a cigarette and then asking which Bogart film it's from - lol.
Maximilianus
08-24-2011, 06:58 PM
Actually, it is a cropped frame :p and if I'm not wrong, it belongs to The Prestige.

You are right, but I had to crop it as Michael Caine was standing just next to him in this scene, otherwise it would have been too obvious. I'll be careful next time thanks.

Wow you are a genius! It's your turn now.

Is that Linda Hamilton in T2?
Maximilianus
08-26-2011, 10:00 PM
Not Linda Hamilton, though it is an action flick, though much more recent than T2.
Hawkman
08-27-2011, 04:50 AM
It looks a bit like Jennifer Garner. I don't think it it's from Daredevil though, but it could be from Elektra.
Calidore
08-27-2011, 10:44 AM
Or could it be Hilary Swank from Million Dollar Baby?

09-01-2011, 06:53 PM
That's from CRIA CUERVOS (1976) although I was a bit confused because your still is B&W and the film is in colour. Guess it's a publicity still. That's Geraldine Chapman (I mean Chaplin :D) on the left.n :D
Maximilianus
09-01-2011, 06:54 PM
I too believe it's the Spanish film Cría Cuervos (Raise Ravens), like Hawk said above.
Maximilianus
09-01-2011, 06:57 PM
And it's Geraldine Chaplin, not Chapman :p

OOO. this is tough. Two horsemen on a beach and the resolution isn't good enough to make out any details... I'd say it was either medieval or Roman from what I can see though. I'll take a wild stab and say, "The Eagle".

but for the sake of continuity I'll try again with a different image/movie (as the last post gave it away). Here goes:
joelavine
09-04-2011, 12:26 PM
All right, I go online, find an image, copy the url, go advanced in my post, delete the http in the window so it doesn't duplicate, then paste, right? isn't that it?
Hawkman
09-04-2011, 12:29 PM
Joe, you don't need to copy the entire url. Just right click on the image>properties.copy the url in the popup window and then paste it into the image box in the reply post.
joelavine
09-04-2011, 12:34 PM
I'm mouseless so the right click is lost on me but this is a shorter url form so perhaps it will work.http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-MXJhqKFMpdQ/TWEmWE7aZkI/AAAAAAAAAR0/T_HdHELJRN0/s1600/jn-rp-1.jpg

I have just tried this method and when I copied the URL in the popup window and pasted it, it put up the URL rather than the picture and I had to click on the pasted URL in order to get the picture. Previously, I have used Imageshack to transfer the pictures but if I can circumvent using them, I will try using the built in 'copy' function on the mouse but I don't know where I am going wrong here.

You have to enclose the image URL between IMG tags, that is *image URL*
If you don't do it this way all you will see will be the URL and not the picture itself.

Hi Max,
I do remember seeing a film about some people raising a flock of Canada geese a few years ago and your first still reminded me of it, but for the life of me I can't remember what it was called. I was sure it was a documentary anyway. Did someone make a fictionalised account of this I wonder...?
Maximilianus
10-15-2011, 11:27 AM
Hi Hawk!
It looks like we are talking about the same story, but unlike you I think I've only seen the dramatization and I can't remember having seen a documentary. To give further clues, the girl on the last still remains active and this is one of the first movies she starred when she began her career back in the nineties. Because of this movie, she got a few nominations for best performance by a young actress. Besides, the movie itself was nominated for the Oscars for best cinematography.
Hawkman
10-15-2011, 12:00 PM
Hi Max,
well I did some digging and your stills must be from "Fly Away Home" (1996) although I think the film I saw was "The Ultra Geese" (1998) a documentary which purports to be the true story of the events depicted in "Fly away Home".
So, Do I get the cookie? :D

This film won the award for best screenplay at the 1998 Cannes Film Festival.
The actor on the right plays the title character.

The actress in the picture below has been described as an "indie darling" and appeared in one of the best mockumentaries of all time, where she said this immortal line:
I been workin' here at the DQ for about, um, eight months? Seven? I dunno, something like that. It's fun. Y'just do the cones, make sundaes, make Blizzards and put stuff on 'em, and….see, a lot of people come in, a lot of people come to the DQ…burgers, ice cream. Anything, ya know? It's one of the most famous of old movie serials. It's silent (nearly 100 years old now) and was probably revolutionary at the time for having a female lead, and one who was resourceful rather than helpless, though she did need her share of rescuing.
