Hawaii-born Meg Wyllie, longtime character actress whose television appearances date back to the late 1950s, died Jan. 1 of heart failure in Glendale. She was 84.
Born Margaret Gillespie Wyllie, she was raised in the Philippines, where her father and uncles were engineers on sugar plantations. Wyllie moved to New York City in the 1940s as an aspiring actress and was part of the original production of "The Glass Menagerie."
She appeared on most popular TV series of the late 1950s and 1960s, including "Have Gun Will Travel," "Zane Grey Theater," "The Twilight Zone," "Hennesey," ...
