The National Park Service's Upper Delaware Scenic and Recreational River issued the following press release:

Upper Delaware Scenic and Recreational River will honor the January 31, 1872, birth of the famous author with its annual winter opening of the Zane Grey Museum in Lackawaxen, Pennsylvania on January 28, 2006 from noon to 4 p.m.

Known as the "Father of the Western Novel," Grey resided in Lackawaxen for thirteen years from 1905-1918. Zane Grey wrote nearly 80 full novels and numerous short stories, as well as articles and books on fishing and other outdoor activities.
