LOS ANGELES - Loren Grey, son of popular Western author Zane Grey who oversaw his father's legacy and was a longtime professor of psychology at Cal State Northridge, has died.
Grey died Feb. 2 of age-related complications at West Hills Hospital and Medical Center, said his daughter Jo Grey. He was 91.
Loren Grey - one of three children of the cowboy novelist - struggled with his father's memory before eventually embracing it.
"He was rich and famous and had beautiful women, and I felt like I didn't have anything," Grey told the Los Angeles Times in 1986. "I hated him for it."
