Only "the most complete dental collection in the world" - as Minnie Orfanos describes the Northwestern University Dental School library - could boast such items as: A subcollection devoted to St. Apollonia, onetime patron saint of dentistry. This martyr's teeth were extracted before she was burned at the stake. The complete works of American Western novelist Zane Grey. "He was a dentist," explained head librarian Orfanos. A brace of artifacts and articles on the Tooth Fairy.
