PASADENA - The Pasadena Star-News in March 1926 carried ads for the movie, "The Vanishing America," to be shown at the Strand Theater.

Starring in the film based on Zane Grey's novel of the same name was white actor Richard Dix, playing the noble Navajo leader, Nophaie.

Tucked in a corner of the ad was a note that at the Friday matinee only, would appear "Charles Wakefield Cadman, Famous Composer of Indian Music in Person."
