We can settle this once and for all by piling the tears over here and the laughs over there. Which pile is higher? Caramba! The stacks are identical in height, weight and everything!
Playwright Louis Broome's tragicomedy ``Texarkana Waltz,'' playing at the Empty Space Theatre, is silly as can be. It is also poignant as can be. In either case, the production is fascinating and ingenious.
The strange and affecting blend of goofiness and sorrow is partly the work of Broome and partly the work of director Allison Narver and her eight ready-for-anything-and-everything actors.
