Sophocles' classic tale of "Oedipus at Colonus" will unfold with community-infused musical power Wednesday-Sunday, when Franklin & Marshall College's Green Room Theatre presents "The Gospel at Colonus."

American playwright Lee Breuer and composer Bob Telson have transported the ancient Greek play to an American Pentecostal church and set the final stages of Oedipus' life to original gospel music.

The production combines F&M's student acting company with the Men's Gospel Chorus from Lancaster's Brightside Baptist Church, students from McCaskey High School, and other members of the area ...
