Roll over, Mr. Sophocles! Down at the Goodman Theatre they've resurrected those creaky, 2,400-year-old bones of yours. And they've turned that quiet, welcoming resting place you knew as the sacred grove at Colonus into one of the more jumping joints in memory.

In fact, if you could have seen the audience Monday night as "The Gospel at Colonus" opened at the staid old neoclassical-style Goodman, you might have known the meaning of timelessness.
