Setting their sights on 'Antigone'

After Oedipus plucked out his eyes and his wife (and, as it turned out, mother), Jocasta, hanged herself in Sophocles' "Oedipus Rex" (427 B.C.), their children had some issues.

The fates of the children -- twin sons Polyneices and Eteocles and daughters Antigone and Ismene -- figure in another Sophocles play, "Antigone" (441 B.C.).

Present Music and Milwaukee Dance Theatre, through the creative team of composer Eric Segnitz with Isabelle Kralj and Mark Anderson, will mount a new version of "Antigone" Thursday through Sunday at the Off-Broadway Theatre.
