A girl stands alone on a blood-red stage. She watches motionless as two armies fight a violent battle. She watches helplessly as her brothers kill each other. From start to end of Osbourn High School's recent production of "Antigone," death is in the air.

Sophocles wrote "Antigone," one of the most famous Greek tragedies, in 441 B.C. When Kreon, king of Thebes, decrees that Antigone's brother, because of his rebellion against the throne, may not be given a proper burial, Antigone disregards his orders.
