Feb. 15--With a fresh, new translation and a landmark performance by Rene Augesen in the title role, Henrik Ibsen's "Hedda Gabler" roared into ACT's American Conservatory Theater Wednesday. Sharp, sexy and occasionally traipsing into the shallows of melodrama, the new production of "Hedda" is a compelling piece of theater.
