A performance of Henrik Ibsen's drama "Peer Gynt", attended by Queen Sonja of Norway and Suzanne Mubarak, wife of the Egyptian president (both unseen) , takes place at the Giza pyramids in Cairo, late 27 October 2006. "Peer Gynt" is Norwegian playright Henrik Ibsen's imaginative version of the old "Play about Everyman" - a universal drama about the greatness of man, his fall, and restitution, and the production is the largest cultural cooperation between Norway and Egypt.
