Homer Leon Hale 1924 ~ 2005 Homer Leon Hale was born April 16, 1924 to Frank J. Hale and Mary P. Imlay Hale. He passed from this earth September 21, 2005. He grew up in Grantsville, Utah. Upon graduation from high school he enlisted in the Navy. Homer was stationed on the sea plane tender the USS Chandeleur. He spent 3 1/2 years on this ship in the Pacific Theater before returning to the United States. After the war was over he attended Utah State University where he majored and graduated in Aeronautical Engineering. He was always interested in aeronautics having attended summer school at ...
