Terra salutes Winslow Homer with 2 exhibits

Winslow Homer is one of America's most popular artists. A self-taught draftsman and painter who once said, "When I have selected the thing carefully, I paint it exactly as it appears," his independent nature and no-nonsense approach to art appeal directly to the American spirit.

It is quite fitting then that the Terra Museum of American Art, 666 N. Michigan, should choose to celebrate its 10th anniversary by hosting not one, but two very special Homer exhibitions: "Winslow Homer in Gloucester," organized by Terra curator D.
