Ruth McElroy Fix, 88, of Roanoke, formerly of Rockbridge County, passed away, Wednesday, July 26, 2006. She was a former employee of James Lee's/Burlington Industries, Glasgow, Va. Ruth was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Howard Wilson Fix. In addition she was preceded in death by her brothers, Homer McElroy and wife Evelyn, Robert C. McElroy and wife Ruby, Russell McElroy, Joseph McElroy and sister-in-law Peggy McElroy.
