Page's win a special one in debut at Homer-Center

HOMER CITY--It was a special night at Memorial Field - and then again, not so special. It depended on your perspective.

What might have been the last game of a storied, 81-game rivalry was played last Friday between the Homer-Center Wildcats and a visiting team called the Blairsville Bobcats. That's if a proposed high school consolidation results in the Bobcats and the Saltsburg Trojans combining into a differently named single squad by next year.

Homer-Center's 21-14 victory was the first for new coach Greg Page, the son of long-time Laurel Valley coach Jerry Page.
