last weekend I went next door to see if poof's human mother was around but she wasn't. the reluctant fathers position was "just stop feeding her and she'll come home" but I cant just do that, especially when its still cold. but im wanting to let spritzer back outside soon and she needs to feel free to come to the door when she wants to come back in, which she wont do if poof is there. I might move where I feed poof, and then maybe even take her shelter apart. meanwhile ive been feeding her maybe half as much, hoping that will inspire her to make some trips back home.

the old the avengers would be a fun tv show to go back and watch. there is so much good old stuff, but for now im still loving lost in space. I was a big fan of the mcu before they went off the rails in their most recent phases but since the avengers is mostly before that, im going to go with them. captain America is my favorite.

I think, bounty, that Poof's lawful humans must have hired someone to look after the propriety, as long as they are away(which seems to be forever). Meanwhile Poof has strongly attached herself to you and your propriety. If you cease feeding or sheltering her she won't go away (there not being an abundance of bounties in the region, she will only grow more desperate, because she doesn’t understand why she lost her facilities. Have you had the opportunity to see how both cats behave towards each other of late? Poof must somehow be trained to leave Spritzer alone. Have you tried feeding both at the same time, so they can see each other but not near enough for they attacking each other?

there is some truth to your point danik---I suspect this is starting to feel like "home" for poof. she seems to still make good use of her hut too. that said though, her first home is only a couple hundred yards away and she knows how to get back and forth so think if she gets hungry enough she will go where the food is. spritzer snuck out one day a few weeks ago and avoided coming back in because poof was on the porch, but they haven't crossed paths since. I think moving poofs food will help, but the front porch is still an attractive spot. im starting to get a little antsy about it because I want to let spritzer back outside.

the timing was good because im dog sitting and between that, and my cutting back on her food, poof has been less around lately. though I still feel terrible for her.

I love all green things but you gotta have flowers! in fact for years ive wanted to plant some in a rough spot in my yard and I just recently renewed the search. recently they were both hanging out on the front porch at the same time and i was thinking "détente!" well hang that idea danik! this morning spritzer wanted out but poof was on the porch. so she went warily and I helped her by picking her up and setting her on the rail. a handful of minutes later I heard a major cat fracas and I rushed outside to stop poof from chasing spritzer any further up a tree. she ended up huddled on a small branch and wouldn't come down because she could see poof on the porch. I eventually coaxed her down but she lost her grip on the way down and did not land on her feet. thankfully she wasn't hurt.

the internet says they weren't married danik, but dated for a long time. either way, I don't think I knew that. everyone here knows her as tom brady's wife, now ex wife.

Mine has slowed down a bit and I rarely use it for other than reading church content because my cell phone is much faster... but the cell phone screen is, of course, much smaller.

Don't know risotto, but research shows it being a yummy rice dish... so, mashed potatoes in small quantities. I need to incorporate rice into my diet.

Thanks for the link, tailor. I never bought a Kindle, because the reading surface is to small for me, I use my tablets. Former tablet had a bit less than ten inches, the present one has about 13 I think. It's ideal for browsing, reading and writing, For reading I downloaded the app Read Era.
Risotto is very practical, The original Risotto is made with rice and cheese, but I make mine usually without cheese and everything that goes with rice.

I think cats like stability. If the family comes and goes it becomes difficult for Poof to attach herself.Anyway she found your house and there she has the challenge to "chase away that darned cat that is occupying MY place. Having a sibling doesn't mean that she is attached to her. To make her stay at home there must be something more attractive there for her than at your house. This lady is very stubborn.

I think even a child has to have language to use the imagination and language is a sort oh knowledge.
Don't feel guilty about your readings. If you don't teach classes about books, you can choose freely, what you want to read. I read mostly for enjoyment and to learn new things. I think that turning reading into a task often kills the pleasure.There are classic authors I love reading, others I don't.

i dont have pigeons to feed, but I do put food out on my porch rail in the winter for other birds to come eat, and I really enjoy that, and watching them too.

just yesterday danik I was down by my pond hauling wood back to my house to cut. spritzer had followed me down there. after a few trips, all of a sudden "poof!" and poof was there. they laid in the tallish grass and alongside a tree less than 10ft apart, for about 20 minutes not doing anything other than knowing each other was there.

a few days ago I found spritzer sitting atop a lumber pile looking down on the ground where poof was sitting. i hadn't heard any ruckus leading to that scenario but i can well imagine spritzer going up there to escape from poof. when i let spritzer out the first thing she does is look both ways to see if poof is around.

Used to feed pigeons at my window years ago.The problem was, they visited the neighboring windows as well. Today it is forbidden to feed the birds and there is a fee on it. Even so, there are people secretly feeding them and they thrive on it.
