CD's....but for video DVD's (I despise VCD's, the quality is almost worse than that of a video)

Time or no time? (inspired by chmpman's avatar, of course ;))

mono
07-31-2005, 01:46 PM
No time - not working on a schedule sounds so much easier, but potentially chaotic. :p

Being, then doing; existence precedes everything.

Ridiculously large vehicle or ridiculously small vehicle?

chmpman
08-07-2005, 03:10 AM
Ridiculously small. Conserves gas and shouldn't create a rumor of me trying to compensate for something.

shortysweetp
08-07-2005, 01:44 PM
neither. i dislike both but if i had to choose i guess simpsons

packing or unpacking?

mono
08-07-2005, 02:33 PM
Probably packing; then I get the chance to review through things I have not looked at for some time, and I always have fun going through my old, nostalgic things. Unpacking requires organization - something I lack. :D

The lesser of two evils: the sound of a poorly tuned violin -- or -- the sound of fingernails scratching a chalkboard?

Taliesin
08-08-2005, 12:20 PM
Poorly tuned violin. It can be called (modern) music (well, not really modern, but avant garde still, perhaps expressionism?) whereas nails are infamous and have also a psychological fear effect.

Supposing you had to play DD, would you rather play in Dark Sun or Forgotten Realms?
FR is a world where there are many sorts of terrain, people adventure out of fun or to earn a little cash, life is quite easy, lot of heroes, a happy world and very common and powerful magic.

Dark Sun is a grim desert world where oasis cities are being ruled by sorcerer-kings who are practically gods in their cities and their templar servants who can do anything they like in the cities (i.e if a templar is in a bad mood then he can out of blue chop ypur head off) The power system is corrupt. DS is also a low-tech and low-magic world. Tools are made of bone and wood, metal is rare. Wizards are thought of as witches in Middle Age - if they find out, then they'll be probably burned or killed in other painful ways. The main goal is usually to stay alive.

mono
08-09-2005, 12:31 PM
Hmmm, I think Dark Sun sounds more interesting, from what you described.

Loss of memory -- or -- loss of sense (touch, taste, smell, hear, sight)?

Aramis
08-09-2005, 03:42 PM
Loss of one of the senses, preferably smell.

(Taliesin- interesting question. I only knew FR from the books I've read. I didn't know it was a roleplaying game, too.)

Would you rather know your own future and not be able to affect it or know someone else's future and not be able to tell them?

mono
08-11-2005, 04:15 PM

Would you like to work in group or individually?

AimusSage
08-22-2005, 04:11 PM
If the group consists of willing and able people, I prefer working in a group, albeit as the 'leader.' Unfortunately this is rarely the case in my life, and I find myself spending most time shaping the team into a workable entity, and by the time it starts functioning, the project is over (most projects I am in for school only last a few weeks). I find that I often work faster, more indept and generally more effecient individually.

Ryan Dollard
08-29-2005, 10:05 AM

I would so totally go for that: hot AND cold... and then lukewarm! That would be ultra.

adilyoussef
08-30-2005, 05:23 AM

My answer is a dog.

To be the leader or a one member of your group of work?

mono
09-08-2005, 03:51 PM
It really depends on what we intend to do together; if it regards a subject I know well, and seems a friendly group, then I can lead, but if I know relatively little compared to another, I will contribute not as a leader.

I like your question Kaltrina.

die alone, or marry someone for whom you feel no love only respect?
:goof:

Aurora Ariel
09-10-2005, 02:28 AM
..die alone.I think it's ridiculous to marry someone if you don't love them. That's so irresponsible.I would never agree to a marriage of convenience. If your happy alone and wish to live in solitude well I can't see a problem with that, but I think it's just really stupid and naive to marry someone and commit yourself to someone you bearly even like!

Would you go around the world in a hot air balloon, to break a record, even if there was a risk that you would encounter a storm and bad weather along the way?

mono
09-10-2005, 02:51 AM
It sounds interesting, but I would have to have more of a reason than breaking a record - perhaps, just for the sake of traveling.

Plan your day -- or -- maintain spontaneity through your day?

adilyoussef
09-10-2005, 09:35 AM
Why boder myself by planing; just let it go. I like to wake up and have no purpose in mind. But in most time my days are schedualed.

Boys or girls?

Aurora Ariel
09-10-2005, 10:09 PM
....hmm that's difficult to answer.Well, been a female myself I should probably say my fellow sex but boys interest me as well.I really like that many boys are not as fond of cruel gossip as some girls can typically be growing up.I think girls are more likely to engage in mental torture and boys in physical torture.Boy are traditionally more violent than girls, while the latter is good at petty things such as ignoring others and spreading nasty rumors.A think then that the ultimate being must be neither or like a femine male or a perfect androgynous being. So I pick neither...

Forest caves or icy igloos?

mono
09-11-2005, 04:04 PM
the ultimate being must be neither or like a femine male or a perfect androgynous being.
I cannot agree more. This reminds me of that quote from Samuel Taylor Coleridge, that Virginia Woolf so loved, regarding that a truly great mind must seem androgynous (to cast away bias).

Anyway, back to the game . . .

Forest caves or icy igloos?
Forest caves, definitely, but, then again, I have never seen a real igloo. Forest caves (and desert caves), however, offer some of the most natural beauty around, in my opinion, often coated with ice.

Live in a small house or a big one?

Kaltrina
09-12-2005, 08:55 AM
live in a small house, because small houses are cute, cozy, and easy to maintain...

swear someone when you are challenged or just ignore them...

mono
09-12-2005, 04:15 PM
If someone angers me (which seems difficult to do), I usually just ignore them, as swearing or arguing with them may just evoke more trouble. If in an argument, and he/she strives so hard to make the conflict worse, I will merely let him/her "win;" there exist many more peaceful ways to settle a problem than by vehemently debating.

Mocha or latte?

Aurora Ariel
09-13-2005, 10:44 AM
Latte(though I've now stopped drinking coffee-only have green tea:))

Aphrodite or Artemis?

mono
09-14-2005, 11:48 PM
Yikes, tough one! In terms of what they rule, I cannot but feel in love with love (so I choose Aphrodite); yet, in terms of characters, I have always adored Artemis' character, seeming far less fickle, more devoted, and philosophical.

Frankenstein or The Modern Prometheus?

Aurora Ariel
09-15-2005, 09:04 PM
....Frankenstein(but only because 1818-the year is was first published) is not considered to be "modern today";))

*You should difinately go and read Shelley's Prometheus Unbound if you have a copy there. It is a very personal piece of his.I was so moved by this work and it is universally considered to be Shelley's masterpiece. It can be an example of the regeneration of humanity through Love and Wisdom. It's in four acts and I especially like the part where Asia comes in Act I I(previously I had only read extracts from Asia-my soul is an enchanting boat, which like a sleeping swan doth float...) and is wanting to help and see Prometheus, her love, and where Domogorgon comes a little later from his cave.

writing style or novel's plot?

getting wet with friend on a rainy hot day or having a picnic with friends on a dry sunny day.

Loki
09-19-2005, 04:07 AM
Writing style. Though books with perfect writing style and no plot can be an endurance, books with a good plot but bad writing style are an even larger endurance.
