Sanity and chains or insanity and freedom?

BibliophileTRJ
12-06-2006, 06:35 PM
You are insane if you believe that freedom exists.
Everyone is beholden to someone or something.....freedom is an illusion.
So I guess that I choose sanity & chains.

Misscaroline
12-06-2006, 07:23 PM

Straight up or on the rocks?

Kelly_Sprout
12-06-2006, 09:07 PM
Straight up. You don't get the most flavor, smoothness, or personality out of a fine liquor by watering it down! You wouldn't water down a glass of wine, would you? You wouldn't water down a beer, would you? Never, ever, ever pour whiskey or Southern Comfort or brandy or rum over ice cubes. Do as Bond does. If you want it cold, drink it shaken, not stirred.

Education or experience?

BibliophileTRJ
12-06-2006, 09:15 PM
As someone with no formal education; I choose EDUCATION.
Why would anyone CHOOSE to learn the hard way? (on the flip-side of that coin; I wouldn't give up any one of my experiences)

Indecision may or may not be my problem. - Jimmy Buffett

...alliteration is pointless unless there's a reason behind it (like a snake hissing)...

And the silken, sad, uncertain
Rustling of each purple curtain
Thrilled me; filled me with fantastic
Terror never known before.
--Edgar Allan Poe, The Raven

Alliteration is harder to use and, like salt, is best when used sparingly, but it is powerful stuff.

I'm wondering if maybe the question was meant to be, "metaphore or simile?"

Still, for all this regression and talk, I am very big on metaphone. I understand things better if I can compare them to something I'm already familiar with.

OK, onward!

The current question is, "claws or nails?"

Claws. Nails are beautiful, or broken, or bitten, or dirty, but claws are weapons!

death by leeches or piranhas?

SummerSolstice
12-16-2006, 10:34 AM
Hm. Leeches, because while I'm not sure how much they hurt when the bite on, but the actual death--by blood loss--would, from what I've heard, be not as much a matter of pain as it would be a matter of wooziness and slow loss of consciousness. Which wouldn't be an altogether bad way to die.

Choosing between the two colors is like choosing between Uncle Virg and Uncle Pen!!!

Black maybe for mystery and anything goes well with it (and I'm not saying clothes). I cover my notebooks with black cartolina then sketch some art on the cover. Same with white, but they're so prone to getting dirty.
