REDLANDS - It is no small feat to produce a full-scale production of William Shakespeare's "Julius Caesar." The battle scene alone is difficult enough.

The Redlands Shakespeare Festival's production of "Julius Caesar" was a valiant and ambitious effort, worth seeing for its timeless theme of political corruption and moral strife, but there were aspects of the show that left something to be desired.
