Summary:
Time, do not spoil my friend's beauty; and yet, even if you do your
worst, my love will eternally be young in my verse.
Paraphrase
1. Time (which eats up all) makes the lion's paws weak,
2. and makes the earth bury those to whom she gave life;
3. makes the tiger toothless through old age,
4. and burns the immortal phoenix in her own ashes.
