Act V: Scene 1
The Queen and her ladies have arrived in London. They have stationed
themselves in one of the narrow streets that lead to the Tower of London. They
await Richard who, they have learned, will be taken this way to his
imprisonment. Soon the Queen sees Richard approaching. She finds him much
altered, a withered "rose."
