King Richard II: Act IV

Act IV: Scene 1

Assembled in Westminster Hall is a group of high prelates, noblemen and
magnates of the realm.

Comment:

It is rather ironic that Richard's formal deposition will take place in
this particular building. It had just been completed. Richard had taken much
interest in the designing and construction of it, as he did in most artistic
activities. He had intended it to be one of the architectural triumphs of his
reign.
