King Richard II: Act III

Act III: Scene 1

Bolingbroke, York, Northumberland, Ross, Percy, and Willoughby all troop
onto the stage. Soldiers also lead in Bushy and Green, fettered, obviously
prisoners. In the background looms Bristol Castle which the unfortunate Bushy
and Green had sought as a refuge. It has, however, fallen to Bolingbroke, and
their doom is sealed. This Bolingbroke makes clear immediately. He says he
must rehearse their crimes to justify ...
