The play opens with a Prologue introducing the action. The Prologue is
delivered by the Chorus, who begins by invoking a "Muse of fire."
Comment:
The Chorus was a common device in the classical drama of ancient Greece
and Rome and later in Renaissance drama as well to provide an objective
commentary on the action. In early drama the Chorus was composed of many
