All's Well That Ends Well
The Play:
This play is commonly called one of the "Dark Comedies," or "Problem
Comedies," because the action seems to be more tragic rather than comic. In
fact, about the only reason that All's Well can be called a "comedy" is that
it ends happily for the central characters. It is a play which seems to be
lacking in feeling, even as related to the two main characters. Bertram's
