NASHVILLE, Tenn., May 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Columbia/HCA Healthcare Corporation (NYSE: COL) and the Saint Luke's Hospital Association Board announced today the signing of a letter of intent for Columbia to acquire Saint Luke's Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio.

Under the agreement, Saint Luke's Medical Center will join a Cleveland-area partnership formed last year between the Sisters of Charity of Saint Augustine Health System and Columbia.
