Dan Warner Aha! thought I, seeing the two books lying side-by- side on the coffee table, here is my chance to take the literary high ground. There was my book and Janet's. Mine was "The Love Poems of Elizabeth Barrett Browning and Robert Browning."
Janet's was "Not a Good Word About Anybody" by Jane Goodsell, described on the jacket as "a wicked and wonderful collection of other people's mishaps, blunders and inexcusable behavior."
