CARVER - Robert Browning Fall, 89, of Carver, retired chief secretary for Amtrak-Conrail, died Wednesday at Silver Lake Commons Nursing Facility in Kingston.

Mr. Fall worked in the office of the railway superintendent in Boston. He retired in 1976. He formerly worked for the New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad.

Born in Melrose, he was educated in Beverly and Stoneham and attended Burdett College.

He lived in Braintree for many years and moved to Carver in 1994.

A veteran of World War II, he served in the Army Air Forces. Mr. Fall was a substitute organist for many South Shore churches ...
